| Confession scene was unique one. He just gradually came to love her throughout the years. And her reaction was cute 😊 It doesn't seem like I'm enjoying this season as much right now. Could be my mood, as I've been wanting to watch shounen or more action-oriented anime lately. Or it could be that I just really enjoyed the Kikuhiko and Sukeroku of the first season. Hopefully it's more of the of the former! Anyway, I think I'll put this show off for a bit and come back when I'm in the mood to watch again :) |
| Yay so glad to get started on this after going a while without it! Starts off strong and thankfully I can still remember where we left off, more or less - the prelude helped with that. |

| Yotaro's meta opening was pretty great. "Huh? You mean it's been a year?!" I'm glad that Konatsu has accepted him as her baby's father, I think he'll be a great dad :3 Kikuhiko really does want to be the shinigami of rakugo, huh? Thankfully Yotaro won't let him...rakugo will live on! |

| 10 Years has passed and BON has became quite old... I think this sequel gonna be great after all that background build up though we need more time for Yota. |

| Part of me wishes that we could have gotten to see what happened in those 10 years, but it was probably for the best. I thought Yakumo would be more against Yotaro adopting the Sukeroku name, but he surprisingly was fine with it. He will always be Yotaro to me though, if just for simplicities sake. Was the writer the apprentice we saw Yakumo shoot down all of those episodes ago? I'd like to think so, but I'm too lazy to go and find out what that apprentice looked like. Based on the preview, we get more baby next episode, which is always a good thing in any show. |
| I don't know if I like Rakugo because it's translated or because of the seiyuu but I love watching the performance scenes. |

| What a good way to summarize season 1 - using rakugo. Yotaro is really the "nice" reincarnation of Hatsu. He's funny and well-behaved. |

| Really nice episode to start off the 2nd season, especially with Yotarou's fun little recap. He was great in this episode, the convo he had with Konatsu about wanting to be there for her and how he felt love for her was really heartwarming that even she felt grateful to have him by her side, despite some conflicting emotions at the same time too. Good to see him become a shunichi as well, and be sponsored by someone too who loves rakugo and wants it to advance in the future with new stories to cherish. |
| So far the only seeds of plot were the possibility of writing new stories and thereby refresh rakugo tradition, and the family life. No drama yet, but I hope the plot starts properly in the next episode. Yotarou's recap was hilarious, particularly his impression of Kikuhiko. Such great voice acting, doing an impression of Akira Ishida using his distinctively husky voice in a high register. |
| The first season on it's own is excellent with the last generation story as the focus, but I'm a little concerned about this next season focusing on Yotarou. He lacks much of the intellectual depth Yuurakutei, Sukeroku had even with the 10 year forward shift, leaving a sense of disconnect with the character. Of course, this may change as the story develops and I look forward to the rest of the series. |

| I have a bad feeling Yakumo is the real father of the baby.. Hope it's just a random dude though. |
| Josei show always have brilliant storyline and than introduce one fucked up plot that will definitely harm the rest of the show, the fact that kikuhiko/yakumo might be father of that kid really put a huge blow to all those great character development |
