| Guys: No glasses, no pretending to be smart when he is not, no elitism, no pushing over the female leads, no Matsuoka. Which turns out to be the polar opposite of Aki Tomoya, which is why I dropped the show when I liked all the other parts of it. Girls: Cuteness. |
| Looking at my favorites I realize that I really prefer the quiet, apathetic characters who think more than they talk. Probably because I can relate to them. |

| Quirky and badass types who are cute and kind towards others. The innocent ones and mysterious characters are also ones I tend to love. And I have a big soft spot for tsundere. |
| For female characters, I find the most interesting ones to be those that are older and have a bit of a mysterious side to them. Such as Touko from Kara no Kyoukai, Yuuko from xxxHOLiC, and Sumire from Black Bullet. Of course there are exceptions. I haven't got a preference for male characters. |

| I generally enjoy what I call Antichrist Superstars - characters who've been rejected from the world, try to rise above it but can't find a better way to do it. Impmon is the best example. I also enjoy characters with an obsession that gives them a sense of purpose but also drags them down. |

| I guess, I'm more drawn to the loners who don't want to title of "hero" forced upon them, but they fit the role perfectly anyway. Who are gentle but also extremely hard when they need to be, like Kirito from SAO. Then again, I also love the guys who are maybe seen as evil, who only live for revenge, or to fight for honor, like Uchiha Sasuke and Vegeta. I love Sasuke more than Naruto. And I also love them both more in Naruto than in Naruto Shippuuden. |

| Someone who loves the world and everything in it, yet knows that they can't have it all. Someone who is self-aware of their own strengths and weaknesses, always seeking something to improve themselves or satisfy their worldly desires. Someone who may not know what they want out of life, but still pushes forward everyday, while always taking the time to sit back and reflect upon where they've been and where they'll go, all before getting back up to continue on with the daily tasks. They're characters that, in the average show, would be background characters without any depth. In their own shows, they still have no depth, because that's the point. They're not special, nor do they have any deep traumas. They're characters who live life day by day, and while they may want more out of life, they're satisfied with what they have. |

Araragi, Hachiman, Ban, Killua, etc. For the women, i'm more into a caring kind, with great intelligence and maybe a bit crazy in the head. I may have a preference for strong ones too.
