| I can relate to Ebina-chan being heavy-chested and all and getting teased for it. I don't have her accent though. I still like Umaru-chan better. I tend to lean towards female characters with smaller chests. Most of my girlfriends had smaller chests too, I had a few that breasts which were the same size or bigger than mine. Enough talk about chests. I fucking love her Akita accent. |

| Narratively proved sympathetic episode, even if the plot was not very interesting, but as it is a slice of life, managed to be substantial. Funny dialect of Ebina, pleasing designs. If history holds that direction, at the end of the series there will be fruit.  The restaurant is literally named Moe. I know subtlety isn't a priority, but goodness, now the show is just rubbing it in. That aside, I'm always curious as to how shows that revolve around singular characters function. It relies on the said character to be charismatic enough to carry the anime almost single-handedly. Or, at the very least, have a strong cast of peripheral characters maintain strong chemistry with the main character. It makes for an interesting challenge from a writer's perspective, where in order to avoid having a show become stale or repetitive, new antics, scenarios, or characters are introduced to keep things fresh. In more ambitious shows, we'd have the passing of time serve as a way to make things feel new, though that risks making the series limited in its life span. This is another thing I'm looking out for while watching Umaru-chan, aside from the intermittent references that puts a hard date on when the anime was made. A FFXV reference? This is most certainly an anime that exists for the present time. |

| Ebina is a good character, I like how the secondary characters fit together to get to know them better. I liked the concept of why Ebina appreciates Taihei, and how she came to Tokyo. |
