| That was interesting. Soma's naivete is exposed after he learns about the intricacies of the academy's "Shokugeki" system. And Erina putting people in their place with the cook-off she was in this episode as well. Shokugeki being Shokugeki I guess. All this talk of who is best girl, yeah right. Isshiki x Soma all the way. |

| Felt like today's episode was really slow... but really good at the same time!! I freaking love Satoshi, haha. I love the way Sakurai voices him. And the food... as always... looks so goodddddddddd. Ughhhhh. I can't wait for the next episode~ All the food that is going to explode... I can't wait for this next Shokugeki, hehe.  |

| The triple foodgasm with Yuki, Kyoko and Satoshi was great. Shame that Megumi had to wake up and got the shock of her life though thanks to Satoshi's backside. XD The sumo guy got destroyed. Erina compared his cooking to a hippo crossing on the beach which is weird, but she shows zero sympathy for the sumo guy's society as it gets torn down. Ouch... Another great episode. =) |

| Great episode and good explanation of the rules. Souma is very cool, I like this guy. It was interesting to see that duel, Isshiki is a bit misterious. |
| Initially I liked Ikumi Mito but when I found out she turned into a blubbering little submissive dog like those typical blushy types found by the dozen in harems, I got turned off. She sucks. Megumi and Erina are better. Erina is definitely a psychotic bitch but that's what makes her character interesting. If you had another "oh-I'm-in-love-with-the-MC-please-notice-me-senpai-I'll-crush-you-with-my-huge-ass-tits-and-pretend-I'm-embarrassed-and-get-you-to-like-me" female character that's so often regurgitated by other stupid harem-like series it makes me want to drop it. Focus on the fucking cooking and comedy, otherwise this show would be intolerable. |

Ikumi never becomes a submissive person, And Erina, the person with the fewest screen time in this series is more interesting then her and less of a cliche? Yeah right. If you think Erina is less of a cliche and more interested then Ikumi, you must be completely blinded by the "first girl meeting = fated love meeting" trope that hangs around Erina like the largest cliche a mangaka can think off. Megumi isnt much better either, since she is the largest Moe blob of extreme niceness this series has. A character type that has been written way to many times already. All of the side characters have more depth and interesting personalities then these 2 female main characters. |

| Aw dang, yeah Satoshi is one cool guy :P Wow Souma even manages to get a draw against him ... even though apparently he wasn't giving his "best" effort (according to the quiet bangs guy). Could he even be another Elite Ten member?! :O Anyway, interesting way to settle things ... COOKING BATTLES! Totally fits though. Erina crushes the other guy with her dish and it seems like you can wager things. Man, not even expulsion would be fitting for the seventh seat huh ... I wonder what kinda things you have to put up for grabs then O_O I hope we get to see more battles too :D Although I guess that means we won't really be seeing more "school life" episodes huh ... oh well, it should be exciting! Looks like we have a new character next episode! Meat master huh ... that's interesting XD Casually carrying around a knife like that ... oh dear :P |

| This episode was pretty spot on, continuing off from the last one. Isseki sempai was awesome, holding back against Soma and STILL impressing him. Erina is a perfectionist. She'll accept if you are constantly improving, but if you and your craft stay stagnant, she'll kill you off. The Sumo dudes were pretty much using their Sempai's past glories to make up for their own inadequacies, which is why Erina chose to take them out. The club featured in the next episode is pretty much in the same state, at least until Soma chooses to step in.... Nikumi arrives next episode, I can't wait till she starts falling for Soma already XD KazuhiroPL said: I think Soma's father was member elite 10. | So it's true that as we're going forward with the TV series; ecchi has declined as the "intensity". One factor seems really valuable because so that the real purpose of the story, is to give "relief" to the feelings and not an excuse repeatedly abused in the past to meet the excessive passion of fanservice. That said, I admire the apt metaphors used in the anime; the episode acquires much more depth narrative, already widely provided by dialogues rich terminology. Pleasing as usual the characters and the story, although I do not share the commonplace to represent almost always girls non-Japanese with the usual aesthetic; diverge from the usual is bad in your opinion? |

Because Erina's grandpa was like observing Soma or something like he's expecting something from him. Whatever I'm glad Isshiki didn't turn into an asshole after he revealed he's a member of that elite 10 I've been looking forward to see that tanned chick with blonde hair and I say I'm disappointed that she's an underling of Erina. |

Satoshi is a really cool guy (also a little bit crazy with his naked thing :D). Maybe we will see in the future episodes a duel with Souma. But so we know why the show is called Shokugeki. Looking forward to the next episode. |

| So it looks like Satoshi held back, and Souma isn't too OP after all haha. I'm looking forward to the Shokugeki and how they play it out. Seems like the meat girl will be the first one to face off against Souma. |
| Heh rice with fish and tea ;] is it rly so great? it is not even miso but tea from kelp :| but omg that was maybe best foodgasm scene so far O.o and Megumi reaction :d priceless omg and later that KNIFE SCENE! so horror-like :D Souma holding knife and asking how to get to elite 10 :D shokugeki is nice addition to this anime I wonder what he will put on bet to win 10th place in elite 10? Maybe he will need to win some lower tier battle to earn something valuable... This guy who talked with Isshiki is probably another elite 10 member. Sakaki is sexy :D |
