Hating myself for laughing when he put the dog in the trash can right as Murano was saying she was glad he cared and hadn't changed. Bad vibes for next episode.

No, but honestly, rather than throw the dog into the bin, what was he supposed to do? Like where would he put it, and I wouldn't want to dig a grave for it. Wonder if he buried it because he felt bad for tossing it, or just because he realized Murano was angry at him. Think it's the latter. He probably still saw nothing wrong with tossing the dog after burying it,

This is what I wonder, but people just respond with things like "it's not normal". They'd be angry if you toss the corpse in the thrash, but not if you leave it in the road as normal people would've done? Sure, Shinichi isn't normal but what he did was way kinder than what normal is.

And I agree with you, he undoubtedly didn't feel bad. He's just unsure what's the human thing to do anymore, so he'll just try his best.
Well, Murano did point out after the whole puppy incident that at the very least he took care of the dog until it died, and that was clearly something not everyone would've done.

How about you just toss a dead human instead of a dead dog to a thrash can? It's only a human shape lump of meat. Why get angry? After all, it's on the same train of logic. Are you going to argue that only an animal and the other's a human? Cause if you do, you're contradicting yourself.

Saving a dying dog/human is a good feat. Point taken. But calling it a lump of meat and tossing it like nothing after it's dead is plain cold and wrong. "It's not normal" is just a summary of what went wrong there.

Ah, Hideo looked better in the manga xD As in, more... inhuman, as he is supposed to. But well! Nice episode overall. Shinichi's angry face could've been improved tho, it's the type of thing people take screenshots of and it doesn't even look that great :C

He....threw the puppy in the trash!! 0_0

anime score - 1, trauma + 1

Also I don't really get him getting confused over Murano being shocked at what he did, it's not like he forgot "normal" human ethics. Just because he now lacks emotions doesn't mean he forgot how normal humans would act....just hope we don't get another Migi, I really liked their complete opposite standards and intereactions

Shinichi is getting more and more badass and less human. The thing he loss about being human is his feelings or emotion, he's feelings' turning into parasyte.

I feel bad for Murano, it's like Shinichi is avoiding Murano. He should talk to her.

Another enemy, huh? This guy said he haven't kill any people. He looks dangerous.

This week has two episodes, but why they didn't just make it an 1-hour episode.

So Ryouko-sensei asked another alien to keep an eye on Shinichi without killing him eh...

Dat Shinichi dodges and counters doe...

I fear that Shinichi will keep losing more of his humanity as time passes and that eventually Migi will probably be more human like than him.

Damn... his father doesn't look well at all...

Holy crap... Shinichi just threw the puppy's lifeless body in the garbage... and he buried only after Murano got mad and Migi told him what he said was different from his old self...

LOL, dat punch from Hideo XD.

Hmmm, what Hideo said was rather interesting.

The look on Shinichi's face... freaking hell...

Yeah... Hideo clearly didn't do anything wrong to that girl...

Hmm, well not sure how I feel about this, I actually liked Shinichi better the way he was before because then I could actuallyy sympathize with him and have some compassion, now: not so much. Plus it is quite illogical how Shinichi suddenly doesn't understand what he does wrong or how people normally would have acted in the "throwing dog in the trash" situation.

As far as I know he lost touch with his more human emotions such as compassion, sadness and so on, he did NOT get amnesia. Which also means he should still have a pretty good idea of what he does wrong/differently from normal human beings. For instance Shinichi still understands that he should be feeling sad over his mothers death and maybe even shed some tears, but he is unable to, yet he still UNDERSTANDS what he does differently. However suddenly they make it appear as if he does not understand how he is different from his former self, and therefore needs to be reminded by Migi and Murano, which again makes no sense because he did not lose his memories of how he was before. He still clearly had memories of how shy and nervous he used to be when he met Murano for the first time.

Anyway Hideo is pretty hot, and i had a big "facepalm" moment when the glasses girl decided she was going to ask the guy she suspects of being a monster straight out if he is one! You find out he may be a shape shifting, dangerous, human-eating monster and you big idea is to ask him up front, like girl, are u serious?? (ಠ︿ಠ)

God I hate the episode. Why the poor puppy had to die!? It made me extremely sad so I couldn't help myself crying. I can't handle such things as the death of animals, even if it's in anime. Also the episode where the little kitty was bullied by assholes made me sad and angry. I don't wanna see such things happening because I'm way too sensitive when it comes to animals.

About the episode in general, it was a bit boring. I've liked all the other ones but this wasn't exciting at all. The new enemy doesn't suit my taste. And Shinichi is a bit annoying now. I don't like the way his character changed. I mean it happened way too quickly. But I like the changes. Just hoping he won't lose all the emotions.

This show has quite a few good comedic moments. I cracked up when Shinichi threw the dog in the trash, the scary face in the window, and that girl NTR'ing Murano. All of the awkward moments are so great!

Doesn't Murano know Shinichi just lost his mother? If she does, she's acting like a b&*%#
As far as Shinichi being less human than before, well duh! Migi had to practically fuse himself with his heart to keep him alive. Shinichi should have died that day, him surviving with some changes is the least to be expected

Liking the new guy for some reason, even though I know he's evil and sketchy

The problem is that a lot "normal" human beings throw dead dogs in the trash everyday.
I mean, most of us feel that it is too cold, so we bury them. But there is people less sensible who use the trash instead of taking the job of looking for a place to bury them...

So, if Shinichi never had a pet and doesn't know what most people do, it's pretty natural that his emotionless reaction is throwing the dog in the trash.

So that's your idea of a balanced human diet? Please...
Shinichi's father is getting into an autodestructive situation. He just needs to snap out of it or else Shinichi will lose his father as well.
This girl Kana is very interesting but I wish Shinichi would stick with Murano. :/
What he did to the puppy was hideous but I guess is only to shock the viewers and to let us understand how much he's changed. He will be an awfull person by the end of the show I fear...

Every time I see an episode of this anime, lately, the anxiety comes over me and I begin to feel a sense really bad, so much that I see an episode a week; but it is also a sign of what is good storytelling.
Episode excellent throughout, plot that involves me always 100%.
Also very good design, the soundtrack is another element that I love.
The new character, I transmits or of bad feelings, I hope to die in the worst way ever.
Shinichi is one of the best male characters this season, now more than ever.

The problem here isn't that other human can do such an act and that means he isn't human. Depending on the human he/she can pretty much do the most horrible things ever.
The thing here is that our main guy was not like that and was very sensitive etc. You people forget that this girl knows him even better than we do and she knows when he does something out of character. The matter isn't how bad or not bad throwing a dead dog in garbage is or whether humans can do it or not. The matter is that doing so is not something HE would normally do.

Mitsuo was jealous of Shinichi, but Shinichi was too badass for him.
Hideo appears and says he wants coexistence, but he's off killing humans.
Kana's senses are too good. Too bad she might get killed by Hideo or NTR'd.
Shinichi's dad is drinking too much.
Murano's getting hurt because of Shinichi.

Shinichi sacrificed his emotions for superhuman abilities.
Also, he's a dick to puppies. I guess he's becoming more like Migi now.
That might also mean that Migi might become more like Shinichi now.
But anyway, Hideo has a plan and Shinichi must intervene.

LOL wtf xD Shinichi don't just throw that damn puppy into the garbage can like that. Especially not when you are called a cold person right before that. Man that was hilarious. He didn't even realize what he has done after worrying for so long that he might change into something different. WOW he even had to ask Migi what he did wrong.

Hmm so Kana can actually sense them. Still don't know if that's good or bad. Though it seems like Shinichi's classmate likes that new guy and that definitely won't end well >.>

Shinichi seems much more aggressive even while talking. Not sure if I like this new tone in his voice or his overall new self. Not only the things he says but his actual voice sounds really aggressive.

No wonder Murano got upset.

And damn, it seems like he's got himself a love triangle (maybe harem?) going on, as well.

But yeah, amazing episode, a lot of awesome moments. And even though Shinichi isn't very kind anymore, that doesn't make him any less awesome and badass.

Oh god, I sense another death flag, goodbye Yuuko.

Anyway, I don't think I like new "no emotions" Schinichi-kun now, it's like his character has lost some of its appeal. And he is slowly getting pretty complacent. I like old one better I guess.. but I understand this is how he would acted without emotions and not everytime are things the way you would like. I just hope this isn't end for his character growth, I would like to see his struggle to remain human. Poor Murano, though.

Edit: I just realized this show is broken into two-ep ministories, anyone noticed that?

I'm in love with the character development in this series. Every review with a character category should give it a 10. Because Shinichi has been a fluid human being every episode.

I love that he can't cry, that his badass change has been explained so concretely. I love that it's not even exactly a good thing, like it always is. Really didn't see it coming when he threw away the puppy - that was stone cold. Charmed by Shinichi and his situation right now.
