| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

That's the thing. I mean, I think we all know by now that about 95% of all animes made are adapted from a manga, LN, VN, or some sort of source material. As far as we know, all this is is a commercial. Nothing more, nothing less. If they did turn this into an anime, they'd need to hire a creative team to come up with a storyboard and script. I'm not going to say it can't happen, it's just a matter of will KyoAni want to spend money to hire a creative team to create an anime that there's no sure fire way they'll know they'll make money off of...especially considering the image of the commercial is trying to attract a small demographic in the anime industry. At this point, I think KyoAni's just using this commercial to test the market. If it gets a strong response (and it'll probably take more than a few million views on a YouTube video), then they'll probably go through with it. If not, then it was just a commercial, nothing gained, nothing lost from a commercial. |
