| Good God that was a horrible dream, Tsurugi being sent to the void, Kagami flat out murdered and poor Tama having to see the slaughter and nearly meeting a horrible fate all at once for real would have been terrible. |

| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

I will never understand this reasoning. For me, a somewhat confusing first episode is a reason to continue rather than drop as long as there's at least something I liked about it. Assuming everything falls into place later it's not a problem at all. If nothing made sense after 3 or 4 episodes I might drop it, but not after just one. |
| This was probably the most impressive episode so far, both presentation-wise and thematically. The opening segment looked beautiful with the whole setting shrouded in a minacious red, evoking along with Sasami's narration a feeling of loss and lonesomeness. The mother-daughter conflict has been established quite believably. Her mother appears to be antagonistic, but of course all she's doing is for humanity's sake in her view. She would easily sacrifice her daughter's freedom and we can assume that she has been forced to do so herself as well in the past. While I can understand why she thinks of Sasami as a spoiled, selfish and useless girl, her actions are still far from acceptable. |

 I thought they were going to dispose of the mother with ease, holy shit I need to see what happens next! They need to defeat the mother, save Sasami, save Tsurugi, and fix Kagami. | 5/5 Amazing episode. I loved the soundtrack. It had emotional moments, happy moments, cute moments, and scary/cruel moments. |

| Fantastic episode. There was some more light shed on Tsurugi's situation in this episode - I guess because Sasami has Amaterasu's power, then Tsurugi herself is much weaker. I don't think it was all a dream, exactly. I think that the Yagami sisters were only there because Sasami wished for it, so once she agreed to go back to the shrine, they ceased existing in human form. Can't wait for next week. And I echo the sentiment made in this thread about this show being wildly underrated on MAL. |

| great ep. all sorts of feelings. first her date with her mom that made you kind of like her mom and it was so cute watching sasami be with her only to find shes dead. then she forces her back to the shrine after fucking shit up. show is so great |

| I somehow spent a good chunk of this episode mad at Sasami for not actually saying that the mother was dead even though it was evident by the first minute or two of this episode. Oh well... |

If one person scores the show 7 and one person scores it a 1, you'd need 2 people to score it a 10 to offset that single person who scored it a 1. But I really think that with time, the score will adjust upwards. Or maybe not. Maybe this just isn't a show for everyone. I'm still shocked that Gunslinger Girl is rated 7.69 on MAL. I would have bet good money it would be above 8. |

| This episode definitely didn't lack in the action department. Her mother returning from the dead as a rotting corpse and reeking havoc on her friends was rather disturbing. Now I'm interested to see if Sasami is able to get away from her obviously evil mother. |

| The +BOX 720 is already out in there place and not here i am going to sue Microsoft for this unfair treatment!! Sasami's mother seemed pretty nice at the first part of the episode but after that she showed her true nature even willing to work with the ruler of the underworld to make sure Sasami is doing her duty. Question is why does she have to due her duty at the shrine and stay hidden from the world why not let her live a normal life while taking care of her duty's? Didn't she say that a mother wants nothing more then the happiness of her daughter? |

But this show has 12 episodes. By episode 3 we had already watched more than 1/5th of it. So if you watch 3 episodes and score it a 1, unfortunately your score counts. |
