Do you read manga in a fast or a slow pace?
Such as speeding through the dialogue of the characters or taking your time looking at the artwork?

Very fast reader. Though sometimes I think I'm going too fast, so I always try to slow down and appreciate the art.

I think it is a little fast level. I think the electronic version reads faster than the paper-based manga...

The reading pace slows down when it comes to works with a lot of dialogue or detailed background writing.

Fast reader, high WPM count without even trying since years. It's just experience due to the amount of time I've spent on books/literature in general. The other benefit is that you will have a lot of time enjoying the (hopefully decent) illustrations.

MAL is a far cry from being my main literature site, that's why I won't be doing mere single chapter updates anymore. Manga- aka Baka-Updates + 2 French ones are miles better and more thorough/complete + less restricting. The latter are perfectly suited for Manga/Light Novel/Books collectors such as myself. Less stressful/tiring this way. -g-

Really depends on a variety of factors, such as how much I like the manga, the art, and how important the dialogue is (i.e. mundane conversations vs. exposition dump/worldbuilding), but in general I guess I'd say I'm a pretty fast reader.

In general I read pretty slow, but I still feel like I end up speed reading chapters at times. With manga like One Piece I'll take my time with chapters, but if I'm starting something knew I might speed through it and end up forgetting details.

Depends, when its just useless info dump I usually read fast but when it comes to important dialogues I read more slowly

I'm rather slow because I try to take in the art, the details and atmosphere. A ~20 page chapter can take up to 15 minutes for me to read.

I read manga pretty quickly - although there are times when I should slow down, but I like to make a certain amount of progress every day and only have so much time on my hands.

I read slow to appreciate the art and writing, but constantly finished quicker than my friends, since I read it literally whenever I'm free.

Slow, I only really read Manga in bed or on the train. My brain goes way too fast in the day for me to be reading so I usually spend my free time gaming instead.

Quite flexible, if the Manga is complex and subtle I might consume it at a slow rate, otherwise I just skim through the text if it's just weightless dialogues of generic romance or action.

It depends on the manga, but most of the time it starts out slow and the longer I read the faster I get.

Heavily depends on which manga I'm reading. I can binge Chainsaw Man in a couple days but I spend ~20 minutes reading a new One Piece chapter.

I am a very fast reader. But I also like to reread my favourite chapters as soon as I am done reading the whole series, so I guess it evens out.

If the manga has heck ton of dialogues it take me around 10-15 min to complete a chapter, considering the average wsj chapter is about 19 pages (witch watch for example)

And if it just scenes then few seconds

I really TRY to slow down when reading to take in the art more... but sometimes I forget and I'm just flying through the pages. I think it's OK, one can still look at the art afterwards in order to fully appreciate it ;)

Fast. I don't really spend a lot of time looking at the artwork unless its a series that goes out of its way to highlight the art.

Overall, I'm a really slow reader.
I like to savour the manga page after page, but when there are way too much suspense I go faster (because I want to know!) then go back again and reread some dialogue or appreciate the drawings.

Depends on what I'm reading. But if I had to pick, I'd classify myself as a slow reader.

Same, I won't read a manga like Yokohama as fast as one like Death Note for example.
I also like to take the time to appreciate the art if I like the artist's style, so I can be really slow sometimes.

fast when its kinda boring

slow if its really good, its like im reading with my entire body, i get up, walk around, jump, laugh, scream, cry, talk to myself loudly, loud reactions, sometimes im shaking, all that,
and it takes time with all that insanity, i can read just one chapter for a long time if i react to like every sentence or image

It depends on the manga. If its a series with 50 pages each chapter then I take my time, if its a series with 3-8 pages each chapter then I just quickly read it.

Usually, I'm a fast reader. Especially with fight scenes cuz it's just fighting. When it comes to dialogue I usually take my time to read unless I really don't wanna continue reading the manga. but when the artstyle is pretty, I'll take my time

Varies. If it has small bubbles/panels, lengthy bubbles of dialogue/thoughts or words part of the background it can be tricky to read (needing a light source or just being careful reading them or skipping it if it isn't important enough, could say the same for some in-between pages for character bios, Shogi problems or whatever the series has between chapters where blank pages are filled with something in them)

(this applies to both physical and digital manga/manhwa).

When it's few words/only the artwork it's a breeze. Or if it's a joke I may want to read it to get the pull details or proper context in a serious scene of thoughts/spoken and general stuff. Depends how many chapters I want to read physical or digital as well.

With light novels it also varies how the sentences flow, what part it is of exposition or general stuff. Depends how much I care. I don't like to skip in these while manga I can. Reading enough books with only words you do get to a point you want to skip some aspects but don't always know where to skip to.

I consider myself a bit fast when reading manga, considering on top of that I read most of them in Japanese. Although the speed also varies depending on the manga; for example, I'm reading Punpun and it took me my time (those who read it will understand why).

As above, it really depends on the kind of manga I'm reading. Sometimes I'm very slow, taking in everything on each page slowly-slowly, but other times the exact opposite.
