Damn, all those top tier schools during the Summer. They're really bringing out the big guns.

I like this taste of competition tbh. In particular, characters like Furuya and Eijun will have a chance to prove themselves again.

OMG my sweetheart Masamune Hongo is back! I think his coach emotionally abused him again, objectively not a bad plan, but if I were a coach I would abused him, sexually.... because why not!
Also I can't help but wonder, Hokkaido team won both Summer and Spring koshien and their practice ground is still in dirt, usually the winner school will receive a lot of money by donations or the politician in that area.
Anyway, I notice cartoon naming logic again, just like how Okumura has wolf (Okami) personality, the Hakuryu school, which mean 'White dragon' also has a player with white hair on his head (not sure about the hair color on lower part).
PS. Can I recommend on how to eat a lot of rice, in which many first years are struggling? As my country is much underdeveloped than Japan we usually (have to) eat high carb and low protein, so we eat a lot of rice, by spoon!

This was really a fast paced episode, but a good one. I know that Sawamura is going to kill it this time.

Having the whole episode as a setup for a match and then seeing only one pitch is annoying. Was obvious though. Gotta wait another week.

Good episode but it felt like they padded out the episode a little so they could do the match next episode.

That first pitch at the end was so damn satisfying.
That OST. <3

Excited for the game and I hope Sawamura can prove himself.

It took almost 3 seasons but it's finally Sawamura no Ace!

Sawamura talking about being the ace always gets me for some reason, I really want him to succeed.

His first pitch was glorious! I actually for once want to see no drama whatsoever and just straight up Sawamura owning the opposition.

Next week can't come soon enough

Five minutes into the episode and I already have a hunch that this episode is probably going to end at the start of the match, and I was right T^T. Was hoping to see more haha.

The last part got me really touched ='), Sawamura has really come a long way... I still remember him being so annoying, ridiculous and brainless (for the very first few episodes) that I almost drop the series. Good thing I did not.

Really excited for the next episode!! Go go Sawamura!!

I found this episode to be really insightful. It may be late to realize or say this, but high school baseball is really deep, and those who can are always giving their all. In one way or another these three years will become an everlasting source of pride or regret/frustration, so I guess it's to be expected.

They even forsake their holidays to play practice games, but well, it's "only" for three years. Furuya is still off his game, but his pitching could defeat a normal team, so he is getting there, probably. And now it's finally Sawamura's time to shine, and to show what he can do. I can't wait, this really promises to be a great game.

That preview and title gave me a bad feeling. Sure makes me miss being able to watch as many episodes as I could fit in a day instead of waiting another week.

I don't really mind the narrator since (if i'm correct, didn't check) it's Tetsu's VA and it makes sense to me, as it would have if it was Chris' VA as well.

This might be Eijun's major breakthrough in becoming, or at least I hope it is since the guy has worked his ass off for the title. He even changed his ways to accommodate the title. I also like Miyuki's encouragement towards him, like a real captain should.

Dammit, I was SO ready to see Sawamura pitch against their toughest opponent for the summer. And then, they just gonna tease us like that? I will not stand for this mistreatment!

Anyway, I'm all for this tournament environment here! All the strongest teams from throughout the nation battling one another during Golden Week, such an intense storyline. I've always liked high-tension sports 'sagas' like this in sports anime.

Loving the dynamic between Sawamura and Miyuki. Also flustered Sawamura is so adorable lol. I figured front he start that the episode will end at the start of the match, I got pretty used to it at this point. Looking forward to the next episode!!

Komadai coach is one hell of a strict coach for being harsh on the team despite them having won the invitational. Excited to see Eijun finally getting his chance to shine in this match against Hakuryuu.

I like hearing Yuki talk from heaven. Something is going on with Hongo too. The coach is straight up tho, gotta keep them humble somehow. I mean, when Hongo gets agitated, he gets better.

This game is going to be good!!! The guys from the other team reminds me do Sugawura from Haikyuu lol

Don’t overthink it Eijun, u got this.
