| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Yusuke Kitagawa....interesting. Seems like he's an artist in this series in his role. We also got Ichiryusai Madarame making his appearance too. I got a mysterious vibe about him already tbh. Joker is still doing his usual business and it didn't surprise me that Madarme is involved in some unnatural events. Not bad this episode. I hope they can get me invested in these new characters. |

| We get some more Yusuke in this episode. And surprisingly, a lot of anime-original scenes showing some of Yusuke's perspective. His the disciple of Madarame, the same guy mentioned in Mementos last episode. Yusuke denies allegations on Madarame, even though he clearly has some sort of hidden feeling, particularly about that painting Ann found interesting. However, Madarame has a palace, which makes him more suspicious. A museum as a palace makes the most sense for Ryuji. Sliding underneath those lasers, lol. Gives me memories of the game :P Poor Yusuke's just being used by Madarame. Best boy doesn't deserve this. But Yusuke's concentration when drawing is hilarious. Lol, Yusuke tying to do a nude portrait. Next target is Madarame.  Short after ED scene with Yusuke. |

| He's art major student who fell in love with twin tail girl, and wanting her to be model for his drawing. So he invited them to the exhibition. Student council president, huh. Painter of the exhibition is the old man. Sugita-san's character is not happy with the painting she wants to see. According to a report, the painter is not good as he seems because he's using his students? Sugita-san's character, who claims as the only student, says it's not true. He appears kind and says he's aware of the rumor. Museum in dark world? So the old man really do what the "rumor" says, and plans to use current student to his whole life. So that painting that he didn't liked is his painting, but he says he gave this painting to his teacher at his own will, not getting stolen. Ex-student is the person who requested them to get the old man. |

| Good episode again even though it still feels quite fast paced to me. Yusuke asking Ann to be his model was always pretty funny. xD Best girl Makoto getting some decent screen time with some glorious shots while walking up the stairs. <3 I love how Yusuke's so hyped up when he knows he's gonna meet Ann but the moment he sees Ryuji and Ren his energy level plummets. Yusuke's pretty quick to defend his mentor Madarame but it looks like the latter is more sinister than he lets on because he has a palace. Madarame feels no remorse for all the pupils he's used over the years willing to throw them all away once he deems their no longer worth anything to him. :( Hah, that infiltration through the skylight and even the laser sliding. I played this last week and I'm already feeling nostalgic. XD Interesting they changed the Nakanahora scene almost completely and made it more 'shady' if you will, not a bad thing though. In the game, Nakanahora just walks upto you saying he was supposed to look for some Shuujin students. Heated argument at the end there with Yusuke still willing to side with Madarame despite knowing deep down what the situation really is. :( |

| Yusuke was the stalker huh. Still his request sure was a earnest one. Quite generous of Yusuke to give them free tickets for the exhibit though. Seems Makoto is on to them. But to think that Madarame's shack really was a run down shack though. Yusuke's loyalty to his master certainly is understandable. Madarame's palace sure was gaudy though. Using the work of others as your own and using the media to crush those that oppose you what a jerk. Convincing Yusuke though will not be easy but to save him they need him. |

| Well, they yet again covered all of the important stuff without rushing anything (The pacing was a tad bit faster than what I thought it would be, but it's still was pretty neatly packed and executed. I'm still wishing for more perfectly paced episodes like the 5th one, and I hope they deliver that again), nice going. I'm guessing the is coming next. And since this episode had no battles, the animation was nice all the way through. Hopefully they get that going as well at some point. I was a little worried with the time management for each dungeon starting from this one, but I think it's doable as long as they make the right narrative choices, at this point. Actually, I'm pretty sure they could even cover all of the rest of Madarame's arc in the next episode if they are careful enough with the content (but I think they would have to skip some of the palace's cutscenes and exploration for that, and since they didn't do so so far, I wish they keep it as faithful as up until now). So, considering they will keep it as faithful as it has been so far, my predictions are: Episode 7 Episode 8 4/5 |

| Kitigawa was rather an interesting guy when introduced, he is very talented. That "confession" LOL. It was obvious that something off was with Madarame, the way he acted was fishy. The new palace is really fancy. They sneaked in the palace with style, such pros. I liked the way they tried to contact an ex student to confirm what really Kitigawa wanted. Not bad episode, introducing the plot for the currently arc. |

| Good episode. Finally we have the introduction of the real best boy that is Yusuke. We learn that he's an artist and wants to paint Ann. At the same time the group figures out that his teacher, Madarame is a thief and abuser. One who steals his pupils art and gains fame and wealth from it. Even though Yusuke understands he is the victim he can't go against Madarame given his current situation. Now that the gang knows Madarame has a twisted palace, it's time for them to help out Yusuke and bring Madarame down. |

| Like someone already said, this episode covered all the important stuff without rushing anything, but damn they talked really fast lol. And also, Makoto best girl. EDIT: It's refreshing to not seeing Akechi again in this episode, never a fan of him. |

| Figured Yusuke would be added to the ending bit for the next ep preview but surprise to see Makoto already added to it too. I don't remember if it was in the game but the random chance of encountering Madarame inside the palace talking loudly about his evil plan was a bit too convenient. |
| Great episode. These two episodes have been a great improvement from the first 4. Art and animation was better and nowhere near as annoying to watch as the fight scenes. The studio has made some adjustments and improvements to the animation over the episodes with changes in the all out attack as well as the OP. I've been wondering if the studio is on a tight schedule, cutting some edges with the animation then making adjustments later? Loved hearing Sugita's voice again for Yusuke. <3 |

| Personally, I think this was a great episode and a great start to Yusuke's arc. The pacing was fast, but they got through the major scenes without rushing any of them and it was pretty faithful too. Another plus point is the improved quality of the art and animation throughout the episode, so good job Cloverworks. =) Madarame does have that good old guy-like persona when talking to fans or the media, but his palace shows exactly how much of a bastard he really is. Now I'm looking forward to seeing how the show adapts the rest of this arc. =D |

| One of the things I love most about this adaption so far is seeing the Phantom Thieves engage in their acts in a way that isn't restricted by by a game world. For example, iirc when the Thieves meet with that guy who used to be Madarame's pupil who gives them intel on their target in the game, I believe it simply played out like any other cutscene where they talk with in game dialogue. But in the anime I thought it was really cool how all of the Thieves met with him in a discrete way, as if they were carrying out an actual mission, with Ren talking with the informant while Ryuji and Ann stood on standby in the vicinity. I thought that was a really nice touch and adds to the elusive vigilante nature of the Phantom Thieves. |

| Makoto startin to take action now I guess, and they've now made it into Madarame's palace. This... actually felt pretty good, like, it just felt good, unlike the rush job that was the first arc this one felt pretty okay to me. |

| Student council president, is going to become a big character i can smell it. Loved this episode one of my favourites from on going anime this week. They didn't need a cliff hanger to let me dying waiting for the next one. |

| Christ, I think the NPC Nakanohara had more lines than the protagonist. How do you manage to make him less compelling than his non-speaking game counterpart? He has Jun Fukuyama as a voice actor, give him more lines FFS! It doesn't help that, like the game, Ryuji and Ann are starting to get as annoying as they did after the Kamoshida arc and Makoto is still a ways away. This anime's adaptation is so dry I would rather just play the damn game. I miss Yu. What a great game-to-anime translation he was. |

| A-1 are learning, that's great to see just 6 episodes in. There was a lot more personality conveyed in this episode and some anime original conversations here and there which worked better for the "anime". Now I just hope that they can keep this going and make Futuba's arc good because there are so many emotions that are needed to be conveyed there. |

| I like that they change scene with Nakanohara. In game they just talked face to face, and Nakanohara even won't surprised that Phantom Thieves are right before him and just spill information. |

| Always disliked how the gang met Madarame's ex pupil face-to-face despite repeatedly being told to keep their identity secret. Nice change. Pacing was good and I enjoyed the anime only material. All we need now is some combat improvement and bam, we have a great adaptation on ours hands. See A-1? You can do it. 4/5 |
| I liked it. I definitely think the pacing has slowed down a bit now when compared to the beginning of the series. Oh Yusuke, so engrossed with your work as always, lol. |
| Pretty good honestly. I like this arc more than the other one. Abuse and plagiarism is something serious. Surprised someone even committed suicide. Tough. I think I'm going to stick around for the rest of this anime. I came close to dropping, but this episode was solid enough to keep me interested. |

| Why do I have this feeling that Yusuke's VA is shockingly the same as with Ragna from BlazBlue at this point??? P.S. if Makoto Nijima shows up, does this mean that her VA had to be the same as with Misaka from the Toaru series at this point too???? |

| Ahh, I actually really loved this episode! Much better pacing and direction than episodes 2 and 3. I actually think the lowpoint so far is episode 3, and things have improved steadily since episode 4. CloverWorks still hasn't announced any anime for the Summer and I hope it stays that way, and things improve significantly for the second cour of P5A. Did you guys notice the little changes to the OP at the start? It'd be cool if they just keep improving it. Funny thing, Makoto's japanese VA fits her a lot more than her english one does, but it still feels weird to hear her talking in japanese 'cause I'm so used to her english voice xD. |
