| for me it was steins;gate. i forced my self watching it for like the first 3 episodes, i was like mehh, is this it? its like a show with a retarded MC thats acting like Mr been ( in my opinon lol) i was even watching 1 episode per 3 days i was that uninterested but. until i reached episode 8 or something i was like hooked and damn it was the most unregrettable moment in my life. it became my top 1 anime of all time. lol as they say " don't judge a book by its cover". el psy congroo!! horay for steins;gate 0 |

| Steins;gate Started slow and was getting reallyyy annoyed with some of the characters, but it picked up fast and had nice development. Ookiku Furikabutte Was annoyed with the MC crying all the damn time for no reason..but grew to like him over the course of the series, nice characters, and tense games. |

If something is popular enough to have tons of people praising it, with criticisms being few and far between, then the series surely must have some notable merits to it. So even if it isn't a genre you might like, or the synopsis doesn't grab your attention, you could be enticed into giving it a try just to see why it's so popular. Plus, just because your initial reaction to it is "I doubt I'll like this, or I doubt it will be better than a 5/10" that doesn't mean you'll end up hating it either. A 5/10 is still miles better than a 1/10, so it can end up being worth your time to check it out even if it met your expectation of not being very good. Finally, many people, myself included, like to try to broaden their horizons in what they watch. I have stuff on my PTW list in genres I normally wouldn't go for. |
