Mid-Middleschool i was in a bad place and couldn't enjoy anything, not even anime
after watching whatever looks somewhat interesting to me i found a show that sparked my interest up again
did you ever get sick of anime and almost stopped being in this community? if so, what brought you back?

Not really. After I watched my first anime I knew that I was going to be stuck here forever.

There are days where I'm simply too tired for anime, but also to eat something.

I just fall on my bed.

Some anime makes me feel that way, in the end i'm just too stubborn to add anything to my dropped list, i end up torturing myself through it. Like bad movies.

I wasn't interested in anime, to begin with. But later on, a friend of mine started forcing me to watch anime, and after that a few shows I got addicted to it. I don't think I'll get sick of it. At least, not soon...

Probably every other week. I haven't watched a single anime for a week or so right now, except two 30s KyoAni shorts. During the night, I'm slowly finishing the matches at The International 2018 that I missed during the livestream. At the same time, in the mornings I'm binge-reading books 1-7 of The Witcher series. If I can find books 4-6 of The Illmoor Chronicles at the bookstore this week, it'll be a week or two before I probably go back to anime. I'm not in a hurry. Anime will be here when I come back.

I stopped watching any and sometimes I come back to watch that one or two interesting anime but other than that I quit anime pretty much completely. I used to watch like 50 series a year, that number shrunk to 1-3 series.
idk why I was here but I'm prob back to playing Hunt: Showdown 1896 again when you read this

I do feel like that sometimes. So everytime I feel that way, I take breaks. As long it can be. Minutes, hours, days, months to a year or whatever.

Then, by the time I came back. I'm happy, refreshed, excited to see what I've missed and continue watching my list.

You see, I dont want my anime watching to feel forced and to be a chore, importantly this girl aint quiting anime for life. Thats the last thing I want to happen!

Not really, I just sometimes have phases where I gravitate more towards other media, like movies, western TV or Standup comedy, but those usually don't last very long either.
I probably regret this post by now.

I left all activity related to anime for long periods like five times, the longest was more than two years.
The thing is that every reason to see anime again were different.
When I get bored and have no new reasons, goodbye anime.

Nah. There have always been franchises that I'm interested in watching (so far), although that number is dwindling.

I might get sick of watching a series, but I get motivation from wanting to watch the franchises I haven't explored yet.

Sometimes, especially if I watch too much of one genre. I'll switch over to manga or dramas, and then I'll eventually come back because I'll get tired of those.

Other times, I'll just switch genres, like from all shoujo to horror and gore or something. For a while I got so bored of romances that I started reading a lot of Junji Ito.

For the past month or so I've been watching less anime overall since I've been spending more time on Discord, listening to music and doing other things that slowed down the rate at which I would finish an anime. I definitely wouldn't say I'm sick of it though since I'm still very much interested in it but I have been watching it at a slower pace, if that makes sense.

I’m not necessarily sick of it, but I am quite drained. I’ve watched like over 12 shows every season in 2018. This year was so packed. And there’s a lot of shows I want to watch in the fall and next winter. I think I’m just gonna wait for shows to finish airing instead of waiting weekly. That way, I won’t be worried of keeping tabs on days and being left behind on some shows.
