| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This episode felt fast, started off with some magical and mystic stuff. Somehow, I like the music (OST) they used in the episode to make it sound kinda epic. Artwork looks fine and we get some narrative about their world. Not sure what I think of Koharu yet as a character based on the first episode. Hmm, the OP song is alright, not too catchy but fitting for the show. On second thought, there's more magical stuff going on than I had originally expected...  Quite a big character cast so I hope they give some proper characterization for some of the more prominent characters. Koharu's past doesn't seem so pleasant though. |

| The girl who lost name was told to go on a ship that someone would pick her up, which KajiKaji's character did. There are already 10 members who can use magic, with 2 female, in a mysterious sphere shaped airship. Shimono-san's character doesn't want to be involved with others because not all members will be together when arrived to the destination. KajiKaji's character's magic is related to plants, and the girl's village got burnt so she was alone and eventually lost her name, which eventually remembered it. Attack from another airship? I don't know why I read negative comments about KajiKaji's character before. He doesn't sound that bad based on this ep. |

| Probably best OP of the season's new anime so far. And so is the music. Really relaxing. From the OP we already have OTPs? Good to know. It's not gonna be a reverse harem or anything. It gives off Otome vibes but I guess it's not one :P Story seems interesting enough. That was one hell of a fall tho |

| I don't usually go for these type of series...as a matter of fact this seems to be the first time im checking an anime adaptation based on a otome game. Well i have not played it so i can't tell how they adapted but from an anime only point of view i would say it started out alright. The Animation and Soundtrack are what really stood out the most in the first episode it looks beautiful and OST is sure enough pleasing to hear troughout the episode. As for Story and Character development well since this is the first episode there still needs more time for it to develop but the interaction of the cast has been ok but we need more exposure to really get to know them and next week looks like we will have our first fight. So let's see how the action will play. Overall a good start i give it a 3/5 |

| I like the "Adventure" Genre, and the Opening too. But, but, but... Oh well, guess I'll stick with it for another 2-3 Episodes to know what to do. |

| Been years since I played the game, but I think the flow of events is a bit different here? Music is great, gives a nice feeling throughout the episode. Kevin Penkin is still the composer, yes? Characters look better than the key visuals, they actually look like how they are from the game only with a little different on color (most noticeably on Kakeru). A better start than I expected. I'm so happy seeing Hiyoko though it was only for a second XD Oh yeah, one nice detail from the anime I really love is that they add effect for when the characters are calling upon their ability. Cool! And um... Sorata, where? |

| This series without a doubt had the most interesting premise out of everything so far The OST and OP are beyond beautiful and will probably be the best lf the season which won't surprise me at all. The visuals were pretty good as well Looking forward to finding out more about the world, the politics as well as seeing the characters themselves develop with one another since it seen like we will have some great romance too with more than one couple |
| I loved the OST. I thought this got off to a good start and has a lot of potential! | Honestly it felt slow for me, but it's not surprising since it's a first episode. We got more exposition than action. The art is good. We still have to see the other characters powers, and also we need to delve a little more into the different countries situation where they may be deployed as enemies. |

| This was kinda terrible, they completely changed the introduction and gave Kakeru a giant focus instead of properly introducing everyone. One of the characters that presents the setting (Sorata) was made MIA to focus on stupid romance hints that happens later in the game. Otomate always makes terrible adaptations of their games so I don't even know why I'm surprised. |

Anyway, VN or game adaptation suck. |

| Very interesting episode. I don't know about the original source, but I think that this has much room for development so it could be a 2 cour maybe. Kaji was pretty good imo. I hope next episode the focus shifts on the other characters as well. |

| nice episode, overall it wasnt so bad. i loved the OST, the opening is nice and the animation is good! the main girl seems kinda boring, but its only the first episode so i'll see. i dont really like the main guy tho... too annoying for my taste lol the cast for the characters is really good imo everyone fits! i hope next episode gets me hooked on the show! |
| I really enjoy the visuals of this title! The dreamy atmosphere and interior of the ship are beautiful, I would like to take a walk there (although you may drop into the deep lake from a big height which is not safe for life lol). Not much plot yet, but what we have so far makes me stick with the next episode. I'm not a fan of otome games adaptations, but this one seems slightly different, which is a pleasant surprise. Hopefully, they'll stick to this tone. |

| Kids with magical powers, hurray. Shitty characters doing shitty things, sneaking up on people so they fall in a river, moping in a house, falling out of ridiculous trees. Shitty world, looks like it will go nowhere. Oh well. |
| So it appears that the most effective way to remember one's name is to somehow fall into water from a high point and have your life flash before you. Cool! But really, a rather bland start. Visuals are great and props to Kinema Citrus for that, but the character interactions and dialogues were utterly mediocre. Hopefully it'll pick up soon enough. |

| God, they butchered Kakeru and Koharu's personalities. Now they're Ms. and Mr. Bland. The added cliché saving scenes were entirely unnecessary. They also stole dialogue from later on and used it now, when they hardly know each other. "You're pure, unlike me" UM ok, sure, like that's something you just casually confess to a stranger. (ーー;) For serious, I'm so mad, because OTHER THAN THAT the episode was utterly perfect. Why did they do that??? I don't get it. It could have been so good. :( |

| I'm so nope after this episode. (I don't know the game nor this universum). Like, plot seems interesting. Music is beautiful. Animation is so-so, thought I was expecting a little better after trailers. But characters so far............. so dull. Main heroine is the worst type of typical otome game heroine. Don't remember much, keep on apologizing, sweet, pink, brainless. Other one is tsundere yelling at boys for swimming in trunks - seriously? Stupid obvious scene of falling from the tree - I was cheering for them to die or drown. And all those cheesy lines. Only thing which intrigued me is "we will end up as enemies anyway". I hope they will suffer and there will be bloodshed yessssssssss. Kinda disappointed. |

| I've been holding off on playing the game, because I wanted to watch the anime first and see how it was. OMG I love the OST and the OP! The characters are all so interesting and I definitely want to know more about them and the World! I might have to just give in and start playing the game, because waiting each week for a new episode is going to be hard! |

| I haven't played it either (I want to one day) but I've read through all the routes...lol. So I can't say if this was completely true to the source material, but Kakeru definitely seems nicer than what I read from the spoilers. As someone who hasn't played the game, I think the first episode was really intriguing. It had nice worldbuilding, and Kevin Penkin's music is beautiful. I think it's rare, if not, never, that the same composer for a game does the music for the anime adaptation. Yanagi Nagi's OP was beautiful was well, not just the OP song, but the content was pretty. Really liking the visuals too. It was quite a serene start imo, which I like. Let's see if the anime can get me to buy the game and play it :) |

It's like he's now a Super Bishounen who is entranced with Koharu's otome power as soon as they meet. But that's not him AT ALL. Gah. He's a charming, antagonistic ass whose trolling attempts backfire at the best times. He's flawed but dynamic! Interesting! This anime version is just... ;_; In good news, with the exception of everything Koharu and Kakeru, the show has been really faithful to the source material, even improving on it. We can only hope it stays that way. |

| Following this format for my anime first impressions/reviews from now on. Title: Norn9: Norn+Nonet Story: (Note: When they said "teams" I was incredibly scared. I thought they were going to be one of those anime that ditches their entire main plot and focuses on one aspect, but luckily it wasn't... Or is it?) Aside from that, the story was... Good? There was little to no backstory and plot progression in the first episode, so I could not tell. BUT, the story looks like it could either turn into a very nice romance; the "We'll all be enemies" path seems intriguing too. Art: Some detail, but nothing special. Sometimes the backgrounds were fantastic, sometimes they were a bit bland. The characters' noses annoyed the hell out of me. Characters: A lot of "beautiful" guys. I'm not sure if this is a reverse-harem, or directed at people that are attracted to males, but it was a bit interesting. This could also possibly be the art style. The characters didn't have many "defined" archetypes, so I liked that fact. Aside from that, there isn't much to say due to the fact that it was simply the first episode and not much was shown. As a side note, I would like to see that Kakeru guy (Or whatever his name is) to "show his true colors" later on down the road, but it most likely will not happen (with the vibes I'm getting right now). Music: Full of beautiful music through and through. This anime's strong point by far. Enjoyment: It was "aight". That's it. It may just be the first episode, though, because the ending looked like they were getting the show started from there. |

| I'm not a huge fan of Reverse harem, but I do like these kinds of setting so I'll give this 3 eps at least. The main character could be interesting at a Ritsuka level at tops, but that's plenty enough for a reverse harem of this kind. The guys all seem dull, but I'm actually putting my hopes in the other female characters. My biggest question right now tough is: Why on EARTH is the ending song in SWEDISH!?! |
