| WOW JUST FUCKING WOW!! Now what I really want to see next is Ippo fight Miyata. Later on in the series it looks like Takamura will be fighting what looks like an American that one will be epic. Madhouse studios never ceases to amaze me. Also that new Dempsey Roll looks very painful and very damaging I feel like he's going to have to evolve the Dempsey Roll even more it's not perfected yet. |

| Absolutely EPIC conclusion for the fight! Loved it so much. Goosebumps all over. Esp at the last Dempsey. Ippo just kept pounding his face until he was unrecognizable and needed surgery too XD Ippo's Guts pose was awesome too :D...Lol'd at Aoki laughing at how Sawamura looked like he was prostrating to Ippo when he lost hahaha Lol'd at Takamura's Anti-anti-anti Dempsey XD Well Epicness overload. Might even be my Best match in the series. |

| SO MUCH WIN. SO MUCH FUCKING WIN. Such a great fight, loved every bit of it and god... Well done Madhouse, well done. Very Ironic at the end though, I never would've thought Sawamura would be alone again like that, but it was for the good. You can only change when you have the things you take for granted removed from you; the main reason why Sendou said what he did. I hope Sawamura doesn't lose an eye, he was a douche, but he really did give Ippo such an awesome fight. |
| Broke alot of Ribs and broke his Eye socket well i do feel a little bad for Sawamura Anti Anti Anti Dempsey it was a battle of intelligence and Luck they froze for a while and go then froze a bunch of times then go again :D I'm Really like this anime i've been thinking of joining a boxing gym... |

| Firstly, I am not the type of guy who compares anime and manga all the time. And I'm reading HnI and as of now I'm on chapter 750's. So I of course read this fight before, and was looking forward to it animated. But unlike the other comments, mine comes this way: I was happy that after 2 weeks of break, HnI returned with one hour special. But after watching it, I again found myself asking this simple question: Why? The flashback scenes of Sawamura are totally ruined. Just adapt the damn pages already written and waiting! Of course there could be minor differences which should not be minded, but they did ruin the Submarine Wars as well. Why do they do this? And the studio is great as well. No way to understand. One hundred percent meaningless. Without that flashback, how can one grasp the motives of Sawamura in a complete circle? Don't misunderstand me, I like the anime a lot, but the adaptation does not live up to its source material. |
| That was one hell of a episode. I wanted it to be combined with episode 12 for 40 minutes of fun, but this did just fine. That fight was what I waited for since beginning of series. Anime is so much better than manga. Sure, manga is good, but fights are way too much prolonged. This was one hell of a battle, and what gave me goosebumps in manga, here almost gave me heart attack. OST, good drawing and Dempsey Roll sound made go crazy. |

| Amazing conclusion to the Sawamura fight. Probably one of the best fights in the series so far and gave me the same chills that i have the first time i watched Ippo vs Sendo II. I'd say Rising is better than new challenger in both Fights and OST department but the pacing is still rushed as hell. So it seems the last fight in the series is either Takamura vs David Eagle, and it's a damn great fight. I still want Kamogawa and Nekota's past though. |

I think it was shown in one of the 2 episodes before the fight.(either in episode 9 or 10) |

| H-O-L-Y C-R-A-P that was one hell of a fight, glad Ippo got Sawamura in hospital, would like to see what Sawamura thinks but I don't really see how taking the one thing he can believe in away from him is going to help him. |
