| I have always been an earphone guy. Wearing them day in and day out. But they get worn out real easy and make my ears a bit uncomfortable. I wore headphones for a day and found it to be extremely comfortable and the sound seems to be real good.The problem is the portability, its not something you can carry around in your pocket. Headphones also make you standout in the crowd, which I dont really like. I also hear prolonged use of earphones could cause hearing problems. What do you think about headphones and earphones? Do you think they really ruin your hearing if you use if for too long? What's your earphone/headphone? Mine is a skullcandy |
| I prefer headphones. They last longer, don't break as easily, and have better quality sound but aren't as portable |

| I prefer earphones. They're way more portable and convenient, plus they're cheap. Headphones are probably good, but I don't feel like saving up the money for an expensive pair that's worth buying. Also I'm paranoid I'll break them. I use cheap-ass earphones that I get for $15, and they sound fine to me. As long as I don't ever hear anything with a higher sound quality I'll be content with them forever. |

Yeah, that's what I used to do too. Most of the earphones I use, end up breaking in 3-6 months. But it all changed after I listened into my friends 150$ headphones ._. |

| Earphones for mobility, that proper kind that really sticks inside your ear canal. In any other situation I'd take a good headset instead. Then again, I have speakers so why would I use headphones at home? |
| I'm the opposite. Headphones are uncomfortable for me for whatever reason, even the expensive ones. The cheaper ones are also bad at concealing noise too. |

| Headphones all the way. Once you get used to listening to music with a pair of reference quality headphones, you just can't go back. Portability isn't a problem for me, because I usually don't go anywhere, and in the rare case that I do, I don't take my music with me anyway. |

| I've worn earphones (I can't believe I've always say headphones when I use earphones derp) for a long time XD I guess it does cause hearing problems..? I mean the only problem I had was that I talk louder when I had my earphones on..or off? welp. I use sony earphones I rarely use headphones tho :X |

People often like to say that Sennheiser AKG and co. are better and cheaper, and I have owned Sony, Sennheiser and AKG (the latter is still in my possession) For my tastes, I have yet to find a brand that is better than Bose. I would pay even 400$ because I had 2 times a tiny problem and just got the new model for free with their extended warranty. FREE! Already worth it. Their support is superb and the thing with the QC20's is that they provide ACTIVE noise-cancelling. No one else offers that currently and at the same time has decent audio quality. It is 100% true that Bose is too heavy on the bass. Do you know what I do ? I use my equalizer to pump up the bass even more so that my ears vibrate :D I have noticed, that other brands sound extremely good in the mid-range of the frequencies, but I don't need that for my preferred music style. tl;dr There are cheaper choices that match the audio quality, but they have a different target in mind. + the active noise-cancelling is sweet. Edit: Just looked at the ones you have. custom monitors are a different league man. I'm no sound-producer. I just love to listen to Trap and EDM. |

| I lean more towards earphones for practicality. Whenever I'm really in the zone or when I'm not open to conversations I'll use headphones though I have Apple earbuds which are the best I've ever used. Very comfy |

| Obviously if I'm gaming I'll use a headset but for music I like earphones. I have big poofy hair I guess you could say so the headphones flatten my hair weird. Also people can hear what you're listening to easier with headphones on. |

| It's mostly speakers during daytime + in my car and headphones during night time for me, because why should I care about whether others would hear my music and (Anime) series when I'd have to listen to their music and (TV) series otherwise? Headphones are better than earphones imho if you want to watch Anime on a laptop on the train or something like that, since it's more comfortable, but on the other hand, I prefer earphones for my MP3 player because of its portability, especially if you have to walk. |

I've heard there are much better headphones than beats for the same amount of $ you pay for them or even less. I think it was more a a stylish thing to do for kids at my university.. |

| Speakers > Headphones > Buds I hate buds because they start to physically hurt after a while, so I usually only use them when I go to the gym. I'd prefer to use headphones but they like to fall off or get in the way with the larger cables, even though I like the audio experience better than buds. At home and obviously in the car, it's always speakers and always turned up. If the neighbors aren't complaining, it ain't loud enough. |
| Earphones for mobility and comfort. Headphones when I want to hear that bass drop clearly. Speaking acoustically, headphones trump earphones anyway, with their superior sound reproduction and all. |
