You noticed how many pages this thread is lol, this is notoriously known as one of the scenes that people remember where the art and animation was so bad showing pains facial features during some of the motion depicted action scenes. People watching the anime currently, every time they have something to bitch bout as far as quality, they always compare it to this scene. lol Read the first page of this thread. Honestly speaking i have to say the quality was a bit down during that part compared to the manga, it was like "way out their" but one little scene does not deteriorate the entire fight as garbage. Everything else had great quality, great fluidity to it. I honestly though this was one of my favorite action battle's shown thus far in the series. |

| funny when people talk about logic when this is actually a supernatural anime lol =D the animation? I think it's better this way, because in this level of high speed battle they use the usual animation, I don't think the result will be this good. |

| I'm not watching the anime but I decided to check out this episode because I heard that the animation is all over the place. And HOLY hell that was artsy as FUCK. No hate tho, it was pretty baller. I do have to point out that it's seems really out of place in this series but I digress, it seems that creativity can indeed brim everywhere. Kudos, Naruto, you were astonishingly weird once, for a change. |

| The infamous part of this fight, I personally didn't mind it as the action was super fluid, albeit a bit over the top with that Sonic running and Naruto hammering in Pain's head like a nail. |

| What was up with the animation in this episode? :/ To me it looked kind of unfinished, like they ran out of time for their final animation iteration or something. It's a shame, I think Pain is a really cool and badass character, but with these facial expressions and weird ragdoll movements, that gets completely lost... Too bad that they did something like this for an episode this important. I like the series, but man... that was kinda disappointing. Hope the animation is back to normal for the next ep. |

So far this for me episode, along with what happened last episode, is hands down the best of the very lot (so far, yet to be seen) that I've watched so far. It was 4-5 times as epic as episode 133 of Naruto. I don't care what people say about the animation, I thought it was amazing and funny (with Pain's distorted faces) |

| Ok,so this is why this episode has SOOO many comments.I mean,now I understand that it's because of the silliness of the animation and not the content.I for one,kinda liked some of it,but Pain's faces were retarded. Since the half part in Naruto,I noticed the comments on this post and always wanted to reach this point.I mean,I kind of wanted to see the full 9-tails in actions and got hyped when I saw the nine-symbol on Yanzo's hand but unfortunetly Minato stopped Naruto from ripping the seal off.And I have to say,I didn't expect Naruto's reaction to Minato's confession. |

| So this was the episode of the infamous Shippuden's silly-looking animation meme xd The way the kyuubi was hitting Pain with the huge rock like he had been nailing him into the ground looked hilarious xd Buuuut nevermind, who cares, the actual content and all the emotions awakened here were top-notch, this is the Naruto I had been missing for a while |

| BEST NARUTO EPISODE. my favourite part is where naruto-kyuubi is hammering pain with stones xD -- on little mores serious manner, i actually was very expected for naruto to rip the seal off and see kyuubi in it's 9 tails (oh gosh 8 tails was very ugly X_X), but then came that end that made it all better. next time we get some good explanations for a lot of things, too bad we get back to bad animation again... and those who complains about the animation, you should watch part I ep133, it's same animators and all. and ED was nice, i guess.. |

| Damn the animators really outdid themselves. The animation was top notch. Loved it. I wish they animated the Fate series instead of Ufotable. Naruto unleashes his 6th tail and now he's completely transformed into the 9 tails (almost) Also he broke the 1st Hokage's necklace and the control seal by Yamato on him. The ending though.....Minato the 4th Hokage is here!! Naruto dad I presume? |

I'm sorry but how do you label an episode as 10/10 when you also acknowledge that parts of the episode's animation made no sense? I mean the animation in general was shit with absolutely no justification imo. I had to go look through the entire topic and I'm literally stunned that so many people defended the shitty animation even though this is the absolute worst looking episode in the series. So to acknowledge that and other ridiculous things like the random ass lake that you mentioned... it makes no sense to think that the episode was flawless or deserves a perfect rating. :/ And people can miss me with that "they were trying something new!!!" bullcrap with regards to the animation, because 1. it's not really new, they've done shitty animation like this before and 2. "something new" aka animation that isn't consistent with 95% of the other episodes =/= a good thing. |
