| The concept is very interesting I would say, considering the fact it's actually a real thing in Japan. Although Kazuya seems like a pathetic loser (so am I), I really enjoyed the first episode. The artstyle is decent and Chizuru looks really cute. Looking forward to the next episode. The opening is really great by the way. 4/5 |

| With all the long predicted problems of dwindling social interactions between the sexes worsening in Japan, and many parts of the world, it was a long time coming for this kind of show. But renting a girlfriend is almost the epitome of simpness... Theres almost more point in just being a stalker or just watching porn all day. Hell before rona chan cucked the world into this nihilistic world crashing state, there were at least strip clubs, where money could be spent, but more carefully and it would go farther. And beyond THAt were the actuall T**ty bars where some might get some action. But even if one went to the highest order said things and got a prostitute, SOMEHOW it would still be less cuck than renting a girlfriend. And thats the ironic humor of this show to me; that there is something lower than hooking, or going to strip clubs, or even "settling" down and marrying, which to many, is just as bad because your money disappears like lost memory...felt but no longer tangible. ONTO EP 2 lol MY POOR FELLOW MAN IS STRUGGLING! I feel for the younger generation. T.T Post Script: MAL needs a lot of help and input from us anime fans, so since there was no rating for the show on its main page, and considering how kinda flawed the age ratings are for anime in general, I suggested it should at the least be PG 13. And seinen. The subject matter of the whole show is not shounen at all. |

| So we've got an at least enjoyable art direction and some nice anime girls. What more could you want? A story? Nah. Although I can't help but think it would've made for a nice little short if it had ended 21 minutes in. Instead, I'm anticipating a mess of fanservice and banal humor centered around our MCs misadventures. Toradora this is not. But if that's what you were expecting, I don't know what's wrong with you. |

| Alright, what a way to start the series! The MC got instantly dumped within the first minute, nay, the first 30 seconds, literally! Always wanted to read the manga because I've watched a documentary of this series' author and his teams working on the manga, but before I knew it, the anime adaptation is here, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I legit cringed so hard at many parts of this ep, especially any actions that revolve around the MC. Especially during the part when they got caught by their grandmothers, that was both hilarious and painfully cringy at the same time! I see that they went with some kind of crayon-drawn-styled backgrounds on almost all parts, looks pretty cute though I'll see for myself whether I like it or not, the OP though is absolutely adorable, 4 cute girls and 1 guy who's not experienced a love life for more than a month... |

| Wait, why was this actually so good? I actually like what they've done to set up Chizuru's character in this episode. She's a pretty normal person underneath that idol-like persona she puts on, and she has to have some sort of reason to keep doing the rental girlfriend job. She talked about how she actually couldn't quit the job: could it be a financial crisis, or is she just lonely deep down (maybe she implied that? not sure)? Whatever it is, it adds a layer of complexity to her character that I'm totally in for. The main protagonist, Kazuya, is such a wimp. My god, dude, this guy is really something else until the very last minute in the episode. I understand that he wants to please his family and all, but stooping that low and being that desperate? I mean, he doesn't look like a total wimp, and he has had a girlfriend in the past. He should have at least a bit of confidence in himself! Honestly, what I think he needs is someone to confide in, someone who can show him that the girl he was with wasn't actually interested in him and that he has some self-worth. I really hope he grows a backbone in the future to be the man Chizuru deserves. Also, the way they threw in the intro at the end was absolutely fire. |

| Finally time to watch this. I should read the manga after I finish the anime, I'm just hoping Kazuya isn't the worst. First part was awkward though, I had to pause so many times but the ending was nice. The opening is also great. |

| For how much it gets memed, the first episode was pretty hilarious. And Chizuru's thigh shots were done well. I wish I was watching it weekly though. Well, at there's S2. |
