Wow. This was a nice series. I can't wait for the second season although I've already know what will happen in the future. :'(
I read a major spoiler about Rin and his friends and his narcolepsy before.. it was because I was too hot to know what's all about this show..

Kyousuke flashback of refrain? MY MIND. IS FULL. OF FUCK.
Overall, I think some parts were very sloppy and some parts were just amazing.
I think they could have definitely added more emotional DEPTH to the characters though.

I did enjoy the fact that they added almost all the little common-route scenarios though.
8/10.
I really hope refrain will be a 10/10, would be a first for me.

this whole series was very ... ok. i haven't played the vn but having heard all the hype before the series aired and already being familiar with other key adaptations, i was really looking forward to this. i ended up putting it on hold about halfway thru airing because i just didn't feel any particular attachment or desire towards continuing. the only reason i finally did finish is because i still keep hearing amazing things about refrain. i fully expect to be blown away by refrain u__u

Finally have finished this show last week, when actualy i dropped this show 2 month ago after seeing haruka route got ruined by jc staff (from my point of view as vn reader)
But suddenly i repick it again after know that refrain will airing next season.

K then episodes 19-26 (kud route -> end of common route)
While watching I just keep thinking why jc staff not adapting another routes as good as kud route and just give their best to late episode only...
Why u sacrifice mid episodes to be boring "looks our friend got a problem lets help her with the power of friendship" story
just why jc staff?? Just why???

But last episodes realy save this show
Looking foward for refrain

7/10 for me

"Natsume Kyousuke". Enough said.

Little Busters! It was as if we were there with all of them the whole time.

Time for the "core" of the story.

However, for some reason, J.C Staff decided to not include any romance into this season, making 'friendship' the topic instead. While it kinda sucks not having any romance in it, making LB just another Harem with Riki as just another generic, clueless harem lead would also be a deviation from the source material... a kinda lame deviation in my opinion.

So yeah, just look forward to the second season ^^

Well, when you think about it, if Riki kissed/romanced every heroine, it would be kinda weird since you normally don't just start a "new game" after a route is done in an anime.
Also, how would they explain that without confusing viewers? I really can't think of a way.

I personally liked how they made each route have a friendship vibe through the whole thing rather than a romance one. But when Refrain comes along, I'll be expecting romance for sure.

Finally, the horrible routes are done. I keep associating LB with the terrible routes and not its greatest strength, Refrain. And when I do think of Refrain, I remember how awful the routes are. God, this VN needs to be fixed.

All I can say is that I'm hyped and ready to look at Refrain in a fresh look.

> VN needs to be fixed
> All characters contribute to the main history (In their respective routes and Refrain confirms it), good placed OST, voicing fits with the character personality (excepting Komari, which is really annoying), recognized for being the first VN which introduced mini-games, the story is planned as fuck, etc.

But no, it needs to be fixed. DERP.

This is how it all begins.

I believe Season 1 was just to introduce the other Little Busters, and hints of the Secret World that would be explained in Season 2. Same way with Clannad and Clannad After Story. In my opinion I am satisfied with LB, it get's a 7/10. I did hope Kengo/Kyousuke and the guys would get some background information.

Gooders galore but also a good teaching if you can read between the lines. Plot that as I suspected, having finished late, please refer to the more serious things later.
Drawings and animations enough, I was not expecting much in the end, but being the last episode a bit more quality is not disturbed.
Anime mistreated a bit too much for the bad success, there are criticisms, but I hope that in the second season remedies in this mess! ^ ^ "
Final rating remains at 7/10!

I´ve seen the RAW episode.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK, NICE CHAPTER.

But, they´ve lost the game? T_________T. Why? If they were kicking their asses...

Final review tomorrow.

PD: My reaction after watching the 2nd Season Announcement:

They won the baseball game, that's why they were holding up Riki and cheering and stuff. It even said that they won 18-10

But I´ve seen in the score... Where it says: リトルバスターズ (Little Busters), in the score has a 10, and the other team has 18...

Well, it also says that they didn't get any runs on the last outing, which we know is wrong anyway, because we had Kurugaya, Kud and Riki make a run at the end, so I feel it's pretty obvious that JC just messed that up (although I can hardly read the boards anyway).

Yeah, pretty sure. Those d***heads pooped it.

I don't think they would screw up something that blatant. Those 3 runs were probably the 3 runs in the 8th inning on that scoreboard.

I am pretty sure they lost the baseball game. They are just cheering afterwards because they had fun together as friends, and that's what matters to them. Winning or Losing doesn't really matter to them. (never played the VN so I'm basing this on this episode)

Key has made a name even amongst us anime watchers however from that point i have to say that this was the worst Key adoption i have seen so far.
It was supposed to be drama like all works from Key but even tho the emotional scenes had to potential they just where not emotional, this is mostly to blame to the director who just wasn't cut out for this kind of thing.
And it is just annoying to see how many potentially great scenes where ruined because of this it's a shame since this could have been a great anime and it wasn't.

I agree! Air, Kanon and Clannad are tearjerker anime but this one... errrr~
Overall i'm still giving this a 6/10

Now im off to Refrain! :)

Ehhhhhh... I think they spent too much time on the "filler" in between each character arc. Riki himself never got any attention or development; he simply exists to solve other people's problems. On top of that, the last few episodes don't really resolve anything. The Secret of This World, the mystery behind Kyousuke, Riki's narcolepsy, the mysterious letters--they exist but don't have a particular reason to. However, keeping in mind that the ending only serves as a transition into a guaranteed sequel, some points can be salvaged. I hope Refrain gives this series a proper conclusion.

6/10

Also, if you're not a dub fan, don't watch this dubbed. This series was assigned to Sentai Filmworks's worst director, Christopher Ayres.

It was okay, nothing special. There were fun bits but there were a lot more episodes where I simply didn't care about what was happening and almost lulled me to sleep :s In spite of that, there was something in it that made me want to watch til the end. I was told Refrain is awesome so looking forward to watching it.

It almost felt as a recap... Well, not really, but most of the characters went back on the events of the season.

It look like it was a fun match. I think that it was a good idea that they didn't spend all the time of the episode on the match. Cross game did the same thing and it ended out brillantly. Little Busters a bit less though. But I don't regret watching it. I got really attached to the characters in overall.

The biggest critic I would give to this season is the total lack of devellopement from Masato, Kengo and Kurugaya. Masato and Kengo, I can understand that they will go deeper into their characters in Refrain, but I somehow doubt for Kurugaya. She doesn't need to necessarely have a tragic background or whatever, I would just like to know more about her.

Wow, Kengo sure did change once he joined the team. Like wow. That jacket he made, I don't know if i should be impressed or scared. No OP it looks like.

What are those visoins?! Kyousuke knows something but what?! How?! It kinda looks like it Kyousuke was the one sending those letter to prepare Riki for something. That's just a hunch though.

I like how Haruka, Mio, Komari, and Kud had their little moments to shine this episode. I guess Kurugaya in't getting a arc? Maybe in Refrain?

That was a funny baseball game. I love how at the end they show how that picture at the end of every OP was made. Awesome.

Time for Refrain! Bring on the feels!

I have not read the VN.

Then anime was ok, it kept me entertained but i don't like how it ended, it did not answer anything, i was expecting something to happen in this last episode but i guess i'll have to watch Refrain to actually start feeling something...

I know some of you are saying the first season was supposed to be like the prologue or something but if you think about it as someone who have no idea about the VN you will definitely not even think about watching the second season. Im giving it a 8/10 just because i am choosing to ignore (at least until i watch Refrain) everything about the "secret" and the narcolepsy and "predicting the future".

The series was okay. I haven't read the VN.

If I didn't know anything about the second season I would doubt to watch it. The anime was boring at some points and some arcs seemed very rushed and overly dramatic. It didn't give me the heartwarming feelings I got during Clannad (I was younger at that time, maybe that's part of the problem).

However my friends insist me on watching the second season since it actually will explain everything which is definitely something I'm looking for. Knowing Key for its series I'm expecting plot twist(s).

Based on my arguments I give this season 6/10

So alot of people were hyping up the announcement but it was just for season 2 which we all expected haha

Great final episode; I almost shed a tear at the end when they took the photo :) Music was kind of weird, playing Mios theme when Haruka showed up but strangely it fit well.

I think some anime only viewers will be left unsatisfied though because for 25 episodes they were prepping up for the baseball game and it only lasts for 2 minutes lol. And there wasn't any "secret of the world" cliffhanger but I think the Refrain shots will be enough to see people coming back.

Yup as an anime watcher only i was unsatisfied indeed.

Giving it a 7/10. But leaning towards a 6

It felt so random at the end plus no answers are given tho those might come with refrain i guess. But still for 26 episodes i expected a lil more? Some arcs were good i rlly liked harukas route the most as it actually gave me feels. Was surprised by kuds route but it didnt grab me that much after the my mom died yet did not.. Already had a hunch that would be the case..

Just didnt get komaris route how a trauma can be solved just like thwt and shes all happy.
Same for haruka tho.. They made up and all but wasnt the entire disciplinary committee against her? What happened to the rest besides kuraka? ^^"

As mentioned already the secret of life wasnt exactly revealed except some small hints towards kyousuke having to do something with it and rikis narcolepsy..

Well, that was a good finale with the first game of the LB.

Although I enjoyed this show most of the time, especially character and comedy wise I thought it had also some mediocre moments in the drama department. Kinda have a hard time rating this, my heart is saying 8 while my brain tells me something different.

But I guess I settle for a 6 for now, it was a decent anime and had it's highlights. Maybe the sequel will give me overall a better watching experience.

Edit: Now looking back and after giving Kamisama a 7 I had to up my score for this one.

Completed it just now. I'll admit it that this season is a 50-50 for me. There are many times that it's just only a yada-yada moments, nothing especial for it that makes it really boring.. But when the right time comes for each arc, it's really worth it.

I would like this season if it focused more on drama than comedy, just like Clannad S1

I'll rate it 7/10. Time to move on to the Refrain series. I hope the questions left on this series will be answered on the next

Opinion on this episode? not bad, a good happy ending, and it's comical how good they become at baseball. Also, Kud and Rin are still adorable as can be in entirely different ways, though they all have their charms.

Opinion on the first season? fantastic. Most of it left a good aftertaste behind, and the mystery is definitely intriguing. It does have just enough foreshadowing for me to be a bit concerned about the next season and whether or not it's going to leave me in a depression... they aren't exactly subtle about SOMETHING bad happening.

Kengo is so excited after joining little busters the next day that was a little bit unexpected and he changed character quite amusing

Those were simpler times that they showed Riki had a good childhood because of Kyousuke which I applaud him for being that nice and if not for Riki the Little Busters wouldn't have been complete

The little scenes in the game were also hype I loved to see them play a match for the first time and do good that's more like it.

That sneak peek of the future looks so dark and gloomy I guess that's the second season which I'm also excited as well

(As I first watched a few episodes I thought that this was just a team build up sports anime, But I was wrong there's some strong development and drama included which shocked me in some parts and really moved me from my expectations for this show and now the second season is the next part of the story which I highly anticipate it)
