Aw, good for Tenga that Chidori is starting to reciprocate his feelings haha. I do feel bad for Nico though, because she is so precious and deserves love, too. I do think that she would make a beautiful couple with Tenga. Cute, bubbly girls with big burly men is a very cute idea for a couple haha. Anyways, as for the ending itself, it was nice. Nori-chan's smile was heartwarming. Oh, and Honoka is totally open to dating Yuta now, which was really sweet. That was the best part about this ending, how all of these romances started to blossom. It made me feel warm inside so I don't feel like being too critical about it. |

Meh? It was OK, I didn't particularly like the storytelling or the pacing, but overall the characters were unique and lovable (for the most part). The messages this show were giving are kind of cliche not gonna lie. You may find this boring to sit through, but it was an average experience or me. |

So I guess there's no legal, moral or karmic consequences for years and years of irresponsible (short of cruel based on intent?) experimentation on children? Considering how (relatively) lighthearted the show ended up being, they could have made the past less grim. Anyway, nothing was really as dark as they seemed at first. In that way, they tricked us with a lot, including Urushibara who wasn't even as 2% as sinister as they tried to make us think (her character design was great). Not complaining though, I'm glad the edge was dulled. In the end I think they had a chance to show something warm about friendship but it got bogged down in plot spectacle. The characters were okay. |

The ending was okay. Maybe this is nitpicky, but I would have liked it more if the characters addressed past issues and took accountability for their actions. It would have made the whole "yay we're bffs again" ending more genuine. First off, Tenga never apologized to Katsuhira for assaulting him or even acknowledged that his own response to Nico's confession (or lack there of) was extremely hypocritical. Speaking of Nico, that situation is literally never resolved. The whole thing is glossed over and tbh it really ruined Tenga's character for me. (Also, I would have loved to see some better hints and development towards Nico's feelings for Tenga before everything boiled over). Second, Chidori annoyed me the whole series with her jealous, bratty behavior. I know she acknowledged that she was being selfish and eventually accepts the KatsuNori couple, but it would have been sooooo much better to actually see her apologize to Katsuhira. She apologized to Tenga for her behavior, so what's stopping her from apologizing to her best friend? Finally, I wish Noriko would have -- I don't know-- ACTUALLY FACE REPERCUSSIONS FOR DISRUPTING THE PEACE, BLOWING UP A BRIDGE, CAUSING MASS PANIC, AND PUTTING THE MAIN CHARACTERS THROUGH SO MUCH MESS. If not face repercussions, at the very least they should have suggested Noriko felt remorse for her past actions. Imo, it would have been good piece of character development, very rushed and last minute, but character development none the less. All in all it's a good series. I just would have liked to see the above complaints fixed. |

The last 2 episodes were bad and confusing, but this finale was pretty good. The ships were interesting, but Tenga x Chidori seemed forced and didn't have any development at all, so that was bullshit. I like the final moment where they were all the hospital and we saw that Sonozaki changed, however it is still not enough for me to give it an 8. 7/10 |

I've got to say the ending was really good in my opinion. Glad to see everyone smiling including Noriko but I'm not sure how to feel about this anime. The starting of this was really good and funny. But as the anime progresses it started going downhill and I didn't like it as much as the beginning. Maybe it's because I didn't really understand it or it's just not what I was expecting but overall wouldn't recommend people to watch it. |

Bleh. Just like fucking Kokoro Connect. Chidori and Tengan's relationship feels really forced as fuck it irritates me when I see them together. Yuta and Honoka's relationship is the most natural for me. It has potential and I thought it can surpass Kokoro Connect but it ended the same shit the moment it gets way too serious. |

I totally agree with that both anime lack of relationships but unlike Kokoro Connect which ends with so many questions Kiznaiver don't have that on it I'll almost gave it 9/10 but for lack of relationships I'll gave it 6/10 cuz it was too force idk why they do that with this kind of storyline, O well whatever. :-P |

Well, it was a good experience. Of course, I watched Darling in the FranXX before and I was constantly distracted by deja vu, but I liked how Okada treated the theme of mutual trust and understanding in friendship / romantic relationships. And of course, I'm glad that my two OTP became a canon, lol. In general, 8 out of 10. This show is unlikely to be my favorite, but I enjoyed watching it enough. |

But are u seriously telling me that those kids lives were ruined (the one in vegetated state) causse Sonozaki refused to give up their pain cause she didnt want to feel alone. SERIOUSLY WTF IS WRONG WITH HER. However i did really like everything else about this anime. But fuck Sonozaki, i feel bad for her but i still dont like her. 7/10 So basically this^. The idea at the beginning was very interesting, the entire explanation was bland, lazy, and juvenile, but it created the scenarios that were fun so whatever. Overlooking the entire lack of meaningful plot or message, the characters were pretty good, and it was fun to watch. Well, most of it. 7/10 EDIT: Almost forgot, the part where they were experimenting on children for the sake of trying to teach them a BASIC NATURAL EMPATHY really peeved me. And then they act like it's a tragic thing for the scientists and they're the victims. Ok. They should have all ended up in prison. The empathy angle was what I meant when I said the plot was lazy and juvenile. They could have come up with a much better reason for the Kizna system. And due to it's nature, yes, the scientists should have had an evil purpose. "Well intentioned" but still evil makes for a good villain because that's how most real life villains start. They should have at least done that. Kinda like the King in TTGL. Though at least his logic was solid. |

It was a pretty decent final episode in my opinion. Quite suprising to be honest. A happy ending for everyone. Did not expect this at all. Maybe thats why I liked it more than I should. Overall this series was a mixed bag. The backstory for Katsuhira and Noriko and all those experiments were pretty decent and it had a lot of potential. Shame that they have chosen to go for a drama/love pentagon. Some characters were very one dimensional - mainly Chidori and Tenga. Even they fears from second episode were not adding any depth. Tenga is afraid of dogs. Ok thats it - there should be some story about it. Chidori was afraid to voice her feelings for Katsuhira. Unfortunately this is her one and only character`s trait. Honoka and Yuta was the most developed pairing. Mainly because there alone in this "relationship". At least they got some realistic isssues. Niko and Hisomu were one trick pony but they worked. They did their part and that was it. Niko feeling anything for Tenga was taken out of an ass and was totally not needed. And finally Katsuhira and Noriko. Well there was a reason why they should have ended together and they did. Case closed, no complaints. Art and music were consistently very good. Visuals - 8/10 Story and Pacing - 6/10 Characters - 2/10 Enjoyment - 5/10 Final score 5.5/10. |

This show had potential and at some points I enjoyed watching it, but that ending felt rushed even if it was decent and better as I expected. Overall I liked the characters concept. Sure some of them didn't had the depth they need to make them more interesting, but for me it was absolutely okay. What I really loved was the animation. There was rarely a scene where I thought the qualitiy got bad. I'm not satisfied with the pairings. Honka x Yuta was perfect but I wished so much for Chidori x Katsuhira, what a shame. And now that Tenga is dating Chidori poor Nico has to fight for him even more. That scene at the end was nice, when everyone was surrounding Katsuhiras bed. And even if I don't Sonozaki to much, it was sweet to see her smile. 8/10 |

Well the ending was rather anti-climactic. I was hoping there would be more development and wrap up for the other characters but they went full in on that Katsuhira and Nori thing, which is fine, but it seemed like everything else was pretty much abandoned. It could've used one more episode, because the last few minutes with everyone felt really rushed, and the Tenga Chidori thing felt really forced. There are some good real life messages to take away from this anime, but I've seen it done better in many other things so this ended up being pretty average for me with the exception of Nico, she's precious. The premise of the show had a lot of potential but I felt like much of it fell flat. I didn't really get Nori's motives for trying to Kizna the whole city then committing an act of terrorism by blowing up the bridge, but whatever. Some of the characters were good, but needed more development, some of them I didn't care for much. 6/10 for me. |

This has been on-hold for the longest time in my list. I watched it when it was still airing and then somehow fell off in the middle and now I have the misfortune of watching it all over again. My thoughts haven't changed and it's still pretty bad. This would have definitely benefited more with an increased length. 12 episodes just isn't enough for this kind of show and it's really visible just how rushed it became. The ending is just way too exaggerated. Knowing Trigger's history, it would have worked if Kiznaiver wasn't a dead serious show. They didn't really have to make a spectacle of that and then brush it off 5 minutes later. What's up with Sonozaki committing terrorism and forcing the surgery on everyone and blowing shit only for it to be brushed off 1 minute later because our characters have resolved their personal drama? It was very anti-climactic for how over-exaggerated the scene was. For a show centered around bonds and characterization, the characters themselves were barely developed but that's basically what you can expect from 1-cour show with that number of main cast anyway which is why this show would have been 100% better if it was longer. The only saving grace was Maki but that's because they actually took the time to flesh her out but of course, they had to make a backward development of her for the sake of drama. All that drama and development only for her to turn back to her old self just so she can join in the others in the rain. Way to ruin her character. The cast itself isn't really bad. I actually liked them to be honest but they were just severely lacking at the end of the show. What was even the point of Hisomu? He was a useless addition and stuck like a sore thumb in the cast. I get that the purpose was to gather individuals with different personalities but he just felt out of place in the group. Everyone was going through something and then he was just there... with his masochistic behavior. Why did they even have to make it a love pentagon? There's the main couple (Katsuhira and Sonozaki) and the childhood friend (Chidori) who's in love with the mc and the other guy (Tenga) who's supposed to help the childhood friend with her love troubles but ended up falling in love with her. It should have fucking stayed that way. Why did they even have to add Nico to the mess? In the end her feelings amounted to nothing and barely affected the show. It wasn't even important and they still felt the need for it. I don't even remember one particular instance where she developed those feelings for Tenga. At least it was clear when Tenga started liking Chidori but damn... Nico was too random lmao. The romance itself is underwhelming. I get that they wanted to make a happy ending for everyone (except Nico) but it barely made sense. Chidori and Tenga were too forced. I'm happy for Tenga because I actually liked him but Chidori was all about Katsuhira for the entire show and then last minute, we're told that she's been thinking about Tenga lately. I mean... good for my boy Tenga, I guess? Yuta and Maki would have been a great couple if they expanded more on Maki's feelings. They were pretty developed as a couple. They had their moments and it was obvious it was leading that way but it just wasn't enough for me. Yuta was an obvious one but Maki was too sudden for my taste. It's really hard for me to judge the main couple themselves because they're just two emotionless beings. I mean that's the point of their characters and the plot but I'm just not entirely convinced. It's like the show is telling me they're in love and I just have to accept it. All that talk about the deadly sins amounted to nothing as well. They keep telling us Nico is a fake eccentric but then all she does throughout the show is act like an airhead. What does "imbecile" even have to do with Katsuhira? Yuta is supposed to be "normal cunning" but it barely shows. It's like they just throw the concept around to make it sound cool. The female researcher Urushii was a nutjob. She's been happily kidnapping people to take part in the experiment only for her to chicken out in the end because they might "break" as if that wasn't obvious enough when you're basically forcing them into those kind of situations. At least the male one saw it through the end even though he was just a straight up dickhead and also another nutjob forcefully doing surgery on people. The Kizna System is just... absolute trash. The concept is basically about sharing your pain and feelings to someone and that you can lessen the burden on your heart if you have someone by your side who understands your pain. I thought it was something more. They went through great lengths for that experiment to achieve something that is basically common sense. Yeah this show is bad. |

By the first glance it would seem an ordinary highschool anime with major difficulties which a student feels on a daily life,(like getting bullied, love problems, being left alone and such) and how the characters struggling with it are what this anime is all about. Even though I was pretty disappointed at first few episodes. For me it was a rip off of Ano natsu de metaru, kokoro connect and a lil bit of paranoia agent. At least what I was thinking at that time. Anyways after 8 or 9 ep the show got more interesting to watch and the confusing things kind of disappeared. It was easy to catch the feelings what are the characters trying to throw at me. At the last episode it was a treat for me to get.I'm a fan of Happy ending so the anime turned out a good experience for me :) Even though at first I was thought about giving this a 5/10 but after finishing the anime my final score is 7/10. Suggestion: watch "kokoro connect" if you enjoy this types of animes :) |

Agata and Sonozaki ending might be obvious but still I feel bad for Chidori and her unrequited love, her feeling is sincere and she could be a good wife someday, the way author (trying to) ship her with Tenga on ending is totally forced as there isn't any chemistry between them to begin with. Why not just give him to Niko? Niko and masochist guy are my most likeable/fun characters on this show. 7/10. |

Man, I really wanted to like Kiznaiver. But ever since they tried to mess up the Chidori x Katsuhira shipp I just got more and more annoyed the closer to the final episode I got. By the way, it was just bad. Terribly bad. Probably one of the most generic final episodes I've ever watched. Maybe if they'd added an element of suspense or drama, like a character's death, I would've sympathized a bit more with the characters. Needless to say, Tenga's the only one I liked a bit. |

man people have the shittiest complains about this, makes me feel better about liking the show lol. Yea it felt rushed as fuck, but the concept was strong enough for me to give it a pass. Empathy and understanding is something i usually think about, also emotional intelligence, the idea that we can come to understand our emotions, if we just stop and really give them some thought. It's what ended up saving the day. The hero didn't rush in, all emotional and shit. They stopped, though hard and for a long time, and came to a conclusion. That's cool and different. I think it'd would've been a much more interesting show if it had been given 2 seasons to develop. 1 season with the whole Kiznaiver shennanigans, and the 2nd season focused on the emotional introspection theme of the last 2 episodes, but expanded to every character. But maaan, animation is so expensive and troublesome to make, i'm glad we got this anyways, rushed and all. Also if you salt over who ends up with who you didn't even get the point of the show lmao get fucked. |

So young Sonozaki didn't really understood what is the meaning of friendship so she sacrifice herself to feel the bond and pain of everyone. She believes when she held everyone's pain, she felt more connected to them, that's why she became so obsessed. Maybe Sonozaki lacks empathy towards others, maybe that is the reason she depends on Kizuna System so much. Well aside from that, I'm glad the ending turns out well. The scene where all of them realized everything and tried to persuade Sonozaki is quite enjoyable. Its not bad. Might as well give it 7/10 Oh and Yuta x Honoka though. |

It wasn't a complete failure, though it was a disappointment indeed. |

Wow! What a masterpiece! Bless Trigger for taking on these kind of deep stories! It's sad to see people in the comment getting butthurt over the ships. This isn't you average drama-bestgirl-wifu shit. The story is very well written and focused on emotions and emotional pain. That's some advanced stuff most people are not mature enough to understand. I love how well they did the character development. When the Chidori didn't want to give a rejection Tenga I was frustrated, but I was happy to see that they used that for her to grow and understand why rejection are important. Same goes for Maki. She was holding on to her pain the whole series, and refusing to let go. Until the very end, making her monologue the strongest moment of the climax, because it was backed with her own experience and decision to leave her fear of connecting to people. The scene where the characters feel empathy for Katsuhira was worth the whole series! This is going to my favorite list with a strong 10/10! |

Honestly, this was really good. I came into this getting a lot of Darling in the Franxx vibes bc someone who recommended this to me said that I would enjoy it because I liked Darling in the Franxx, and I have to say yes they are similar, I really did enjoy it BUT I would say composition wise, character wise, and plot wise, veryyy different. Starting with the similarities, I think they both have a decent cast of characters (better ones in Kiznaiver of course), plot holes, and characters with underdeveloped plots. Not to bash Darling in the Franxx, but the plotholes were pretty bad in comparison... and kinda felt the show went on a down hill @ one point for me it fell a little flat. Now, I think Kiznaiver does a really good job at fleshing out the characters it chooses to flesh out. The dialogue is soooo good! Every character has a distinct voice and purpose for existing, no useless characters (though likability and character design is debatable lol). The background characters where really annoying. Outside of the 8 main characters everyone else fell flat, but I think these types of animes really bank on the characters to drive the plot which is fine, just I wished they had given Nico, Tenga, Yuta, and Hisomu more screentime and backstory!! I have heard of people having issues with the love/relationship parts of the story. I thought it was pretty good, I was surprised actually at the ending and how satisfying the ending was, given @ people's dissatisfaction, I thought something horrible happened lol. I wished Nico and Hisomu would have linked up, or they could have hinted it at least. She deserves happiness and I really like Chidori with Tenga. I think Tenga is a great guy and they look cute together. It hit me in the epilogue that Nico (cute-eccentric girl) x Hisomu (edgy/emo-masochist guy) could be really cute (I kinda see it and am invested. I need a spin-off) Obviously, I wish there was more!! Like they totally could have added more episodes and made this a 24 episode series to explore more characters + flesh out the love plot line or love plot lines, but what we got wasn't bad either. Overall, I'm really satisfied with this anime. |

Yeah it gets a pass, but the ending got slightly to convoluted and ended to abruptly for my taste. Hate when I'm thinking to myself "what was the point" of an anime that I expected to be more than decent. Didn't really give a damn about nori throughout, for me she was getting in the way of my real ship... which of course we didn't get because the girl I usually root for is the one that gets tossed to the side with some other character or ends up alone. But yeah a post somewhere near the top said that he never deserved her anyway, guess I'll have to agree. And maybe I'm dumb but nori's plan just seemed weird and didn't make any sense, it just kind of came out of nowhere and then it's forgotten about so easily. With a show having the main focus on being around feelings and pain and heartbreak and love, I was hoping to feel something by the end of this. Instead I'm just like "welp that's done, on to the next one I guess." I want an anime to DESTROY me man, give me post anime depression, keep me thinking about it for days on end not wanting to watch another one. Dang maybe I really am a masochist like that one guy in the show, sorry I'm bad with remembering names. But yeah this anime just ended for me without really having any emotional payoff, which is a shame considering the show's central themes- if you could even call them themes. Yeah it's clear to see how lots of people will see this as really emotional, but it's just not for me man. This isn't a criticism of the show, just a personal nitpick, but I did still want chidori to get her man despite him being a blockhead. Perhaps I was expecting our main protagonist to get his full array of emotions and feelings back by the end and then really give chidori a proper embrace. But no he just kind of cries a little and then lays in bed all wounded as per usual. Wanted to give this a good score of 8 or at least a 7, but it kind of just left me empty, not the good kind of empty like after you watch a good one, but empty like, the show itself is empty, yeah doesn't make any sense but hopefully you catch my drift. Again by no means a bad one in my book, I'm always a fan of this art style by trigger and despite the characters not being all too special I still did somewhat get attached. Was going to settle on a 5 for this for not leaving me with much emotional impact and for overall being kind of meh, but there are some unique traits I liked, I did like the concept of sharing physical pain, the OP always got me hyped up, and again you do somewhat grow attached to these characters. This doesn't affect my score, but still kind of pissed that the ships that I shipped haven't sailed. Or is it HAVE sailed... idk. Just don't like it when an anime gives me hope and then takes a huge steaming dump on it. Could've write a review I guess but the more formal format isn't my thing and it's easier to express thoughts here in the good ol' forums. Giving this a 6. Can't say I didn't ENJOY it, which I did (albeit, just by a slim margin), otherwise I'd have dropped it. Wasn't the overtop thrillride as kill la kill, and wasn't the emotional impact bomb that gurren lagann was for me. Just comparing those certain two because they're two of my favorites... I do hoped you yourself enjoyed this though, I don't want you to experience my pain of not finding the real enjoyment I was looking for. |

So it ended like that... well that whole sequence with Noriko was really "extreme" but it's not even surprising considering that her childhood has been horrible, it's just the reflection of what she experienced before, but at least they ended it with a happy ending for Katsuhira and Noriko (they even almost kissed in the hospital xD) and seems like Maki is also going for Yuta. Overall it wasn't bad but wasn't good either for me, I really feel like it should have been made in 24 episodes because some characters clearly suffer from a lack of development, that's the problem when you do a 12 episodes show with that many main characters, and most of what happened really felt overdramatic and forced even though it was interesting, but for the whole romance part most of the drama felt forced and kinda rushed, it would have been more interesting to get more episodes about the kizna system and how it can work before having "real" explanations and backstories for the two real main characters (Katsuhira and Noriko)... at least it has some good colors and the opening is good too xD and it was sure entertaining for me overall even though it's quite a disappointment |

I liked it. I felt like the ending was a nice and simple way to wrap up the anime. For some reason, this anime reminded me of Guilty Crown (I don't know why). Overall all I would give it an 8/10. |

It was interesting at first but the episodes after the summer vacation started to get boring. Also, they really tried for the finale to be good, but it wasn't creative like the whole concept. It could be much better imo. Overall: 7/10 because I really like the character's development and plot was catchy for me. Still, the best girl is Niko uwu |

I didn't really click with the plot or the characters that much but I still thought it was pretty decent. 6/10. |

It was a waste of time honestly The theme the anime was based on is the so-called human relationships, which is a tough subject to describe, especially the dialogues should be deep but understandable however it was approached in a frivolous way, plus the romance was copy/paste from anohana all i can say is give me back my time |

The whole Chidori and Tenga thing felt kinda weird considering Agata recently just rejected her but at least Maki and Yuta ended up working out, and that's great. But I'm still feeling like something was off, or maybe something was missing. But even still, there's a familiar black void in my heart again. Knowing that their lives will go on and we won't be there to see it, is kind of sad. Anyway ending felt a little rushed, but if they actually made it a bit longer, this show would be even more amazing. A solid 8/10 show, will not forget but will not rewatch. |

This is pain all the way through with all mediocracy set up that could've been executed better. I didn't enjoy this one and the only saving grace was the visuals I guess. 2/10. |

A fantastic show that introduced characters we deeply cared about. An engaging story that never lost its stride. I thoroughly enjoyed this show. Wish it was longer but it did good anyway. I loved all the character interactions and relationships. And it all ended so very nicely. 8/10 |

This is getting a 7.5/10= 8. SOLELY because the best girl, Nori-chan, won, honestly if Chidori won instead, would have left a bad after taste considering the writting for a lot of the characters here is so poorly done, and I really hated the archtype she represents SOO MUCH on Kiznaiver! It is not like I always dislike the childhood friends trope, but here, I just couldnt Chidori as any other than at parts an extremely annoying character. For the most part the drama here was just not well done, Trigger are NOT famous for their dramas, commendable for them to try something different, it was fun, had really good budget and a killer OST and OPED, but honestly, the drama around ep7-9 had me rolling my eyes over. Lots of things just needed more development, the setting has potential, but they needed more time to flesh it out, along with the characters, I can see the potential of these ideas, if handled to someone like KyoAni. Yuta x Mako was kinda cute, tbh that was the only pairing that felt more properly built, if we consider they are together by the end, Noriko is my favorite character, simply put, I decided to watch this anime after skipping it when it was airing, because I saw her design better and wanted to see her animated, such a cool and charming design~~ The character herself could have been better handled, but I was bias for her from the start and I did enjoy where she ended with Agata, in fact I was a bit surprised I enjoyed the development of him way more in the final episodes than I expected (that little Nori-chan smile at the end of ep10 must have melts tons of ice on my heart cuz I started to feel for him during that scene). Characters that I hated the most, definitly the male Teacher, tons of scenes where he is just a MAJOR ASS, then others where he is playing the good guy, feeling remorseful about his past sins, honestly he embodies the WORST of character writting present on this anime, FUCK HIM. There are quite some small details, choices they go to push the drama that just felt flat, some felt annoying to watch. It were the positives that really sold me major in still giving this a note that resembles it to be very good, WHICH IS NOT, and good is subjective, to me for a short few days this was extremely enjoyable from the right angles I mentionated above, but like I said, scores extra points for Agata x Noriko. If people want proper drama with proper development, this is not it, but if they are looking for a really cool concept (that had potential for way more), this was at least way different from most, from everything Trigger has done, while still being far above the average trash I just cant bother to watch. (really had to flesh it out my feelings for this anime, such a unique situation and context, really helped me put things on a better perspective) |

I agree, they didn't work together. I loved the animation and character design though, would like to see more like this one but maybe darker themed. The first half of this series was amazing, I enjoyed all of their challenges and adventures. It stopped being as dark and serious at some point and this is where it lost me. It's still a solid 8/10 for originality |
