Even the other Samurai was in agreement. She was showing a lack of resolve, and her inexperience on the battlefield was telling. As for the baby stuff, it's not unreasonable given the context of the story. |

| Gabimaru finally decided to be honest with himself... he needs to lay low after the chaos. Yuzuriha and Sagiri are beautiful as always, and the Yamada clan memories were decisive to the young samurai's choice. |

| Dropped. 5 episodes is more than enough of this trash. This show stinks. It doesn't even look good outside of the opening. What happened there? This show has neither a good story nor good animation. It has nothing going for it. There's around 15 different characters and not a single one has had any sort of interesting backstory, personality, or motivation shown so far. NOT A SINGLE ONE. I don't care at all about Sagiri's struggles. One second it's that she's haunted by the ghosts of people she has killed, the next it's her daddy issues, and now it's that she struggles with society disapproving of her being a woman with a sword. All three are BORING. It's just very shallow stuff. And, I don't even understand this Genji idiot. Spends half the episode begging her to get off the island on a boat because she's a woman, but when she refuses he tries killing her? Wtf? Why waste your time bugging her to leave if you're just gonna murder her? So dumb |

| I have a huge crush on Sagiri... and having her hair down made her look even more prettier. Her surprising reaction towards how Gabimaru asked how her health is. Everything to her reaction and dialogue makes my heart beat. |

| Nurugi and her executioner seem to have great chemistry. Not only did they work well together, they both made it out of that tentacle-kraken ship battle alive. Nurugi's executioner is the real mvp for snapping her back to reality and giving her purpose for living. We get to see more of Sagiri's perspective. She wants to continue the warrior route of becoming a samurai. She does not want to live the life of a normal woman. Leaving the island will hurt her pride. What I love about her character is that she's not afraid to stand up for herself. Sagiri wants to be recognized as a strong, independent, woman. The interaction between Gabimaru and Sagiri at night time was endearing. Gabimaru was worried about her condition. Which is sweet. Also that cliff hanger at the end felt abrupt. |

| Crazy cliffhanger. Now that we've got our main cast introduced, it's time for things to get crazy. Not gonna lie, I feel pretty attached to all the remaining pairs. It's gonna be hard to root against any of them. Hopefully they end up banding together vs the island so they don't have to kill amongst themselves. |

| Another character development driven episode to be watched here and it's amazing actually, the whole Sagiri and Genji convo of the whole term sexism is always unbearable to watch. Ofc i would always treat woman as equally as possible if i ever could. Also that last scene being the giant of bizen rippin like half of the dude's stomach was funny asf for some reason imho XD, mainly cause he got yeeted right after the whole convo thing going on. + The Gabimaru and Sagiri talk of "people understands themselves less than we might think until they act, anyway" is a top notch quote of all time frfr. Hoping Tenza and Nurugai survive this dark mess of an island though. |

| Tenza and Nurugai bonding was quite nice. I really liked them when I read the manga. On the other hand, Big Foot is back which will be a bit of a problem. |

| This episode was alright I guess? I still really don't know how to feel about this show Main highlights for me were the little bit of lore/info we got about the island, Sagiri standing up for herself, and I guess the kid and the samurai trying to escape and teaming up, but that's about it. I will admit though, that whole scene where Sagiri stands up for herself felt almost forced I guess? It's hard to describe but it felt almost dragged out too long or something |

| I was totally expecting Genji to have been testing Sagiri's resolve all this time with that misogynistic speech so I was a bit surprised when he turned out to be actually a misogynist. Well, he's no longer a misogynist at least. Also, I hope that marks the last backstory we have seen and now we get some side character progression instead. |
