| For me, it was actually that YouTube channel, That Japanese Man Yuta, where I first heard of it. It was a video where he took the MAL Top 20 anime at the time and asked people on the streets whether they knew them all. It took me over a year to finally create an account though. |

| I honestly don't remember. It could have been through the anime man, or it could have been something else. The only thing I do know is that I was looking for a better way to organize the anime that I had watched and planned to watch since I had originally created my own personal discord server just to organize it all. I still do that to easily find some anime after I've watched them and to keep track of memorable moments and stuff though. |

| I think I first heard about MAL from newLegacyinc's duel posting his stats/lists on Twitter, which I clicked and looked at (I don't remember what his username is now though). I don't think I was into Anime then, although I found his playthroughs of Anime games pretty fascinating, but it was a few years after that when I made my own acc. |
