| I'm sure you're all well aware of South Park but sadly they've exposed Anime fans in their Goths Vs Emo Vs Vampire kids episodes. There was a character who only drank coffee every single day, thousands of cups in their life time, but when surrounded by Goths they drank a monster energy and claimed it was better than coffee. South park clearly mocked this because that person obviously prefered coffee but felt peer pressured to claim monster energy was better because they were surrounded by goths. I personally believe this was a metaphor of anime fans, they spend thousands of episodes on brilliant masterpieces like One Piece, then once they take a metaphorical sip of Violet Evergarden they claim that Violet Evergarden is better just becuase they want the other anime fans to think they got good taste. When they clearly spent all their time on One Piece making it their favourite. What do you guys think of this south park episode, does it expose anime fans? |

| It's just general trait common among many people. A lot of people are easy to fall under peer pressure or hivemind. It ends up with them being afraid or at least reluctant to sincerely and firmly say "I like X", even though people near them might dislike X in favor of show Y, that a hypothetical person we are talking about is not a fan of. |
