My favorite / #1 anime has got to be Neon Genesis Evangelion. The story kept me invested, the character design was amazing, and the aesthetic was phenomenal. All around, this anime was amazing and I loved it.

My third favorite anime is Girls und Panzer. This anime was extremely unpredictable. I had no clue what was going to happen next and I enjoyed it. I came in expecting to hate it but enjoyed it throughout. What made this anime great was the bond the Senshado team had, and the amazing character development we get throughout the story.
