Fantastic episode as always.
Takemitchy getting stabbed outta nowhere shocked me a bit.
Props to draken,ma man was smiling on the verge of death😂.
The boys coming to help was cool , getting their asses handed to them almost immediately was kinda silly but still realistic.
9/10 for this one.

Agree with all this. I don't understand the claims that he's developed. He still makes the worst decisions at every point. The issue has never been that he's a coward aside from what we're told his life was like offscreen. It's been that he's incapable. He always attacks something in the most useless way while other people do something actually useful like call for the ambulance or backup. He really showed them dragging Draken on his back. Showed them that... Hina could show up with an answer that made his effort almost irrelevant. And it's only fantasy logic that bouncing him around like that wasn't what finished Draken off. There's so many places he could have been helpful in a way that made sense. Warning people, calling the ambulance, attempting to distract Kiyomasa, but instead he throws himself at the guy who destroyed him twice, gets stabbed, and completely implausibly wins anyway.

Feeling disappointed. I was ready to accept iffy logic for time travel and some rule of cool like his first fight with Kiyomasa, but you gotta have some logic. It's not satisfying when the win completely rides on plot armor. It's exciting and quick enough that I don't really want to give it up yet, but I hope it turns around.

All this.

And I hope he starts to move a bit faster in general. Right now, he's physically and mentally on par with the sloths in Zootopia 😩
Major agree. The logic of a lot of characters in this series is so off and relies too much on suspension of disbelief to balance out the bad shonen tropes and drama they're trying to implement. Remembering that this is middle school gangs kind of helped, but not when Takemichi is literally an adult in a child's body. . . Ten episodes in I completely forgot about this fact because he acts so much like a dumb kid. At this point I feel they should have removed the time travel aspect and made it a straight up coming of age story.
This episode was supposed to hype him up but all it proved to me is that he's only good to stall for time lol I also thought the hand stab would be more significant - like if he took the hit from Draken. I couldn't help but laugh when it happened thinking "THAT'S it?"

People hyped up this series too much for me. Right now it's feeling like baby's first shonen, which is a bit amusing because the rating is now higher.

Ay, Takemichi did something for once. Him beating Kiyomasa was flukey enough to be believable and this really felt like a turning point for his character. It’s also great to see how much of an influence he has been on his friends to fight even if they can’t physically win in a fight. How Draken is still alive is beyond me though.

Will takemichi ever make a smart choice
-ask for help from mickey instead of trying to do something
-piggyback Draken instead of calling an ambulance (and bringing him in a side road)
-decide to fight the most unwinnable fight of the ones he did
-when he had the chance to use a knife (the only way to try win the fight) he threw it away

Fighting against all odds is not bravery or manning up, is being crazy

Also no way he can take the back of the opponent from that position (huggin him from the front).

Tokyo Revengers' most shounen episode till date? Medical sense went out the window; Draken didn't die from massive blood loss because he's the toughest motherf*cker around and Takemichi gaining a psychological powerup by screaming his lungs out kinda reminded me of my embarrassing days as an elementary-schooler.
This said, at least the guy could stand up for himself in the end and hopefully, he will stop having "I'm so pathetic" moments every two damn episodes.

still not able to digest how Takemitchi was able to defeat Kiyomasa tho, kinda unrealistic but it's fiction afterall..still like the way he redeemed himself since his last chance but not without help from Hina and his friends esp Akkun every step of the way, mc being full of flaws and not shying away from being dependent on his friends is one of the things that makes this show unique, now if the ending goes all right won't hesitate to give it a solid 10

Glad Draken is alive it's really great the fights are still ongoing although this is the Episode itself was very tense with Takemichi getting stabbed with a knife in his hand this was a tense scene, It already shows the determination of Takemichi to beat his opponent, this was a great example of all this.

I have so much newfound respect for Takemitchy, not only did he carry Draken on his back which was essentially dead weight while being heavier than Takemitchy, but he was also willing to die for Draken, Hina, and Emma.

Why did they cut out the animation of Takemichi going from biting Kiyomasa to putting him in a choke hold? They showed us the raining sky for like 5 seconds then suddenly switched to him switching positions. It was so weird. Was there something to hide/censor in that scene??
Yes they censored it. I'm not sure why, I think it's because the manji symbol appears at some points. The uncensored version of this fight is way better

With the cliffhanger that we received from the previous episode, we finally found out that Draken managed to survive from Kiyomasa. But now, Takemichi finally met up with Kiyomasa the moment they were planning to just wait for the ambulence, and he managed to stop Kiyomasa by finally making the decision to not run away

But then, the rest of Kiyomasa's men decided to get in on the action, but Takemichi's gang showed up as well, and they got their asses kicked, but they aren't backing down!

We got left off with a little bit of a cliffhanger, and I'm definitely curious to see what'll happen next!

Yes to all of this. I also want to add that quite a few animation shots weren't done on time again (takemichi going for the chokehold wasnt animated at all) and we got another 7:20 of recap + op and ed. Production value is going downhill very hard and the story can't even compensate for it at all. Will keep watching but man it's so cringe...

Never underestimate the teeth of someone who lacks fighting strength XD

Really proud of Takemitchi. What he did was really commendable. Takemitchi literally gave his blood sweat and tears to save Draken, if his friends hadn't arrived on time then everything that Takemitchi did would've been for naught.

Jesus Christ, Takemichi was so fucking dramatic buy st least he finally took down Kiyomasa. How the fuck is Draken still alive? He lost enough blood to supply the hospital.

Ngl, I still find Takemitchy frustrating to watch. I know I'm supposed to be "moved" but I only find myself rolling my eyes whenever it's his scene. Still, I'm hoping he will become stronger because I'm sick and tired of him crying and failing all the time.

Amazing episode, I had goosebumps all the time!

But one interesting thing, Takemichi x Kiyomasa fight reminds me Sakura x the sound ninja trio at the Forest of Death in Naruto. Both were weak, both were fighting with someone stronger, both got punched and bite the enemy, both wanted to protect who is important to them at all costs. I love Sakura, so it was a very emotional scene for me.

all that drama after dragon was stabbed. why not just call for an ambulance immediately? it's all so stupid

weak ass kiyomasa with a knife still getting destroyed by the weakest guy alive, fun times :v that was a cool bite and a cool neck lock, but surprised he always manages to get punched so many times without losing control , while most of the other people drop to sleep with one punch (same happened in the 1st fight he had with kiyomasa)

not sure how Draken survived after all the blood loss but whatever

other than that, pretty good episode, i was surprised they didn't call the ambulance sooner, but Hina saving the day by calling ambulance and his friends to the place, this victory was dedicated to her :p

Finally the MC has done something great in his life I am sick of seeing him crying and failure but it doesn't mean I like MC idk why but he is the least character I care for

Anyway he defeated Kiyomasa for the sake of his revenge that's so great and in the last minute his friends showed up it's a good thing

I hope that his character will be improved from now on atleast I can't stand of seeing his failures anymore
Hina saved the day by calling his friends and ambulance

Lets go Takamitchy, you may be have been weak, a dumbass and a failure but at least he finally decided to go all out and deal some punches instead of being always in the receiving end.

On a sidenote, I wonder why Hina and Emma didn't try to take Draken to safety while Takemitchy was keeping those bastards busy.

I'm proud of Takemichi. He changed things just enough to win the battle. I'm really glad for him, even his friends came to the rescue to help out. He did take quite a beating, but the fact that he was still standing after being stabbed and wounded like that is pretty telling for his determination. Draken is alive!

Draken's well-built enough to not succumb to his stabbing wound yet. This gives Takemicthy time to carry him to a hospital. Encountering Hina and Emma, they call and wait for an ambulance instead. They can't catch a break as the Kiyomasa faction see them.
Takemicthy finally gets his moment. Pulling the knife out of his wounded left hand, biting and suffocating Kiyomasa with a headlock (I was expecting him to pick the same knife that stabbed him up, though). Akkun and the rest of his friends jump out of the bushes to hold off the other members, buying them enough time for an ambulance to arrive.

This episode is the pivotal moment in which Takemichi must choose...

  • Will, he run away from his troubles without ever standing up for himself and be a failure for the rest of his youth?
    Or...
  • Will he man up and stand up for what you think is right even if you have to go through hell and back for it?

In the end, he chose the former and stood his ground, even knowing that he has to resort to lame tactics to defeat Kiyomasa, NO! The only lame motherfuckers here are these fugly nobodies using knives on someone far weaker than they are yet what happened? OH, YOUR FUCKING LEADER LOST AGAINST AN UNARMED OPPONENT! He did just that on his own with the moral support of Draken, Hina and Emma behind his back. And even after he's bruised and bloodied, he stood his ground yet again, before having his buddies defend them, futile as it may be. None of this would've happened if Takemichi were to back down all the way back in the fight club, his actions allow for these positive consequences and his decision tonight too will bear fruit in due time...

Dammit, Takemichi is a savage alright, you can't help but like him for not pussying out on his second chance at life and getting his revenge for the life he has wasted. Stay strong bro, the path towards a future in which all your loved ones are safe and sound is arduous, but he got this.

Just what the shit. Why would that Takemichi dumbass stall so much and then get the genius idea of CARRYING Draken, while he could've called an ambulance in the first place just like Hina did and they would avoid all the commotion that happened afterward? This MC is infurtiating and so damn illogical it's starting to get on my nerves. That idiot could've ended Draken's life because of his own dumbfuckery.

Takemichi winning like he did was honestly stretching the situation, even if beginning with having his hand stabbed was a realistic outcome. His friends being involved were brave to show up even if they can't directly help, and unsure why the other gang members just stayed there watching one of them being choked to unconsciousness. Still very engaging, but some details don't add up.
