WTF, Why does a guitar exist in an Medieval City?....
the guitar feels out of place

That ain't a guitar, that's a lute. The episode even specifically mentioned that :p (and lutes do exist in medieval times).

Whatever they call it, it has acoustic guitar strings and tuning. It looks like some kind of custom Flying V:

However, if we're questioning the instruments, shouldn't we start by asking why there is death metal in a medieval-like context? And where does the distortion come from?

Great episode.

Uh huh, a music festival in another world? Heh, very sketchy!

This episode was hilariously batshit insane! Flatorte getting instantly hooked onto Kuku the almiraj, you wouldn't think twice if she was a solo minstrel who desires for people to hear music, albeit with a split personality between niceties and death metal.

WOAH, Flatorte can deliver on her own style of music, and it's not a surprise that her VA Waki Azumi is also a legit Seiyuu artist. The other girls, from Laika's trot style, Halkara's advertisement commercial style (that hilariously got cut short), Shalsha and Faria's child-like style, to Rosalie's melancholic style, it definitely helped Kuku open her eyes to dropping her deathmetal act.

The legit music festival held in Vanzeld City with Beezlebub's invitation, and giving Kuku the chance to perform on a large scale, and that went well without a hitch with her guitar lute.

Major props to Kuku's VA for this episode! Love the song!

Flatorte EASILY is this episode's MVP, she is blunt and sharp towards Kuku, but that's all for working hard and finding her own musical voice...albeit the older sister Laika immediately shutting her down when her personality says otherwise.

Very entertaining episode indeed. Truly a "Thank You" song, and THANK YOU to this episode!

Thank you !
I was wondering who was the VA for Kuku !

This author is an actual genious

Haha, that made me laugh. Personally though I thought it was generic J-pop.

The lesson of todays episode: So young artist you wanna succeed? Then sod anything that isn't generic pop or you will have to stop being a musician and go into prostitution. Do what you want to do so long as what you want to do is play pop.

did not expect Flatorte to be an expert on bands.
surprised that blue dragon girl is a good singer too.

glad they were able to save bunny girl Kuku from working at a.. bar? With help from everyone, she is able to continue being a musician. Also became famous overnight when so many were able to hear her beautiful song.

Well here it comes the big budget episode. It's kinda funny that you can spot the different amount of efforts they put in this episode than the other.

Well they had a lot of music, and Flattorte have a fluid movement for a brief second, shown that the creative staff could do so much better if they had the same budget in this episodes since the start

Its now episode 10 and its really good, that i can also relate.. as long as u dont limit urself, there are no limits.. and the world doesnt always favor the talented first.. those words, i fully agree, as a former performer myself.. u know why i stopped performing? Its not only cuz i now know the feeling of nervousness, cuz i also decided to stop performing for others, and just sing for myself.. thus, once i decided such, i declined the offer to sing again on college after just 1 song.. but my mistake was, i agreed the 2nd time, and messed up.. and from then, i wasnt offered to sing anymore.. well, it also doesnt mean that i hate music, i still love it and sing once in a while.. anyways, i rate the episode a 9.5 of 10, 9.5 for both story and art.. :)

I thought the songs sung by Laika and Rosalie were nice ...reminds me of Japanese music from the 70s/80s.

Flatorte was so cute in this episode, I need more of her!

Damn, why is this so amazing.

It was probably the most emotional episode and it was well done. Kuku was an interesting presence to add on to the story and I really loved how her existence in the newest episode also benefited flatorte and actually developed her too. I always thought she could have a little more so having her grow alongside a new character was a smart choice.

Also, the songs were pretty incredible and halkara's early rejection made me laugh. 5/5 for this one. I'm honestly gonna miss this when it ends

I have been speeding through many of the episodes in this series, but this one was nice. The voice actors can sing. I would have liked to hear more of the music - they could have at least let us hear more of the elf's commercial. Why end this theme so quickly when they finally had something with substance?

The twins had a good kid song, and Rosalie's was honestly good as a song in its own right, not just as part of the anime.

this was lowkey the best episode of this series (which isnt saying much) but i actually liked it once i got past the why does this even exist?, though from the start this show has already gone way past the Isekai bingo of adding in Japanese/modern culture in it's fantasy setting for the sake of comedy

and at least Flatorte had some more of the focus this weak 90% of the girls in the family are kinda just there for the sake of being there.

also dont be a sellout unless you wanna make it big

I would totally buy Schifanoia’s lonely-style-leaning death-style albums 🤘💀🤘
Would have died if at the end Belzie woulda been like “She’s Schifanoia?! You’re super popular here in the demon realm!!!
Death death death death

So I kinda cringed at the moments where Flatorte or Kuku sang in front of the gang because social anxiety!! I can take it but it's a little uncomfortable because I also suck at singing in front of people because I'm not as good as I thought I was, because as it turns out I am not a singing prodigy.

Kuku kinda reminds of the Tonikawa wife. Master & pupil Flatorte & Kuku wat a cute bond. All em character songs were surprisingly nice, tho in wildly different styles.
Beautiful "Thank You" song, reminds of an Angel Beats song.

LOL, Azusa looked so confused when Flatorte and Kuku was talking about what songs sells and what don't.

Everyone's song looks interesting, lol (even tho some are clearly not really songs)

Azusa claps so hard for her daughters, while Rosalie... what is this?

Too bad we didn't get to see Azusa sing, but I can already imagine what she'll sing about... (hint: killing slimes, hehehe)

Nice song from Kuku tho.

(so much better than Death Metal, yes, I said it *runs away and hide behind wall of J-Pop*)

And Flatorte being a true music fan, encourages Kuku/ Schifanoia to sing however style she wants. (if only she could just combine Death Metal and J-Pop into one...)

Dunno if it was supposed to be a Gurren Lagann reference, but Flatorte looked an awful lot like Kamina when she was holding the lute up at the end of the episode.
