| That was awful. Boring and every character was terrible. They dragged out the whole episode just to state that Menma was dead when the audience figured that out in the first 10 minutes. Menma is an even worse character than Index. Way too annoying. 1/10 dropped |

| A group of six friends used to play together when they were kids. Then, one of them died in an accident, causing the members of the group to go their separate ways. Jinta is most affected by her sudden death, struggles with school and ends up withdrawing from the world and not attending classes. The girl who died reappears to Jinta one day, but no-one else can see her. I am going to guess this show is about that same group becoming friends once again, and about Jinta recovering from his issues. Mostly thanks to the help of the one who died (Menma). Visuals were lovely, a lot of vibrant colours. Takkunn said: I've seen this show a couple times already but what's with the awkwardness in the first couple minutes? It's way too sexual and distracts from the main theme of the show which begins to present itself later in the episode. I agree, it felt really out of place. |

| I started watching this episode knowing nothing about this series and damn, it definitely caught my attention. I kept on trying to figure out what happened that day after... I didn't expected this episode to be so dramatic and emotional. The ending where he runs to Menma! Can't wait to watch the next episode! |

| Honestly thought Menma was Jintan's sister at first, turns out I was way off. The truth is depressing. Is it a ghost? His regret? Looking forward to see which is it. It is sad to see how he is treated by everyone though. |

| This seems interesting. Menma appears to be some sort of ghost. Although she can only be seen by Jin, she's not all in his head because when she hugged Naruko she felt an odd weight and when she stopped, the weight was lifted. Anyway, that was my observation. I hope Jin can clean himself up. |
| This anime has some similarities with Clannad , except Clannad's OST is much much better and emotional . |

| Well that is an interesting start. Instead of an imaginary friend, she's a ghost since she can disrupt physical objects and only Jintan can see her. Let's see if there will be more drama. |

| Jintan annoyed me a lot when he said those things to Menma. I know he was a kid and was embarrassed to say that he loves her but still, it was harsh. He even told her ghost to go away because she was causing him stress, he doesn't think about her feelings at all. |

| So, this will be a character development series I assume. There's matter to work with for sure. Jinta is a wuss. the other dude is a prick. The anal girl is a bitch (go figure). And not much to know about the 2 others yet. Menma is annoying and bratty but that seems to be the point since she's basically 7 years old (ish). Still, I was waiting for a slap or a push at least from Jinta to make her leave, since he thinks she's just a hallucination. Also the "comedy" scenes were detrimental to the atmosphere they(re trying to build here... Decent start. |
| I'm sorry Kayano Ai, I like your other roles but this one just kills me >_< Menma is SO ANNOYING already and it's only the first episode D: The OP and ED are all right, I think I like the ED slightly more. Great animation! No real strong feelings towards any of the characters, but so far I'm interested in the two from summer school and Anju I think is her name? So well seems like they were all childhood friends who drifted apart after Menma died, but now she's "back" so that Jinta can help her achieve her dream ...? He's the only one who can see her at any rate. In any case, I'm hoping this will have some strong character development since I'm gathering this is a drama show. I just hope Menma doesn't get too aggravating ... >_< |
| Dam I put this off but wow the first episode seems like it's gonna be exciting from now on. So basically she committed suicide or killed herself after he called her ugly? I feel like there's gonna be some time travel or some kind of shyt after everyone is united. |

The plot seems far-fetched and the whole anime seems to be aimed at squeezing out artificial emotions. The scene where the gang asked the MC about his liking Menma was simply ridiculous. |

| I didn't expect the funny fanservicey moments and the supernatural aspect of Menma appearing in all the episodes but I liked it a lot~ Barely a minute in and I found Menma to be super adorable ♡ It's tragic that she didn't get to be with everyone since that day... The whole first episode had a kinda heavy feeling on my chest and the ending music made me realize that I'm in for an emotional ride! |

| Starting off depressing, eh? We gon go in reverse to happy???? x'D jks (but hopefully lol) T'was obvious Menma was a ghost when Jinta's dad was unfazed. So sad ;A; Loved the part where her mom could sense her TT______TT I'm super close with my mom, so mother-daughter scenes like that get me lol The OP song is beautiful and reminds me of Kimi No Na Wa <3 |
