Lol @ the "bitch" part. Can't believe Menma said that word lol Its pretty sad noone sees her. Its hard on both of them, but especially for Jintan since he's the only one who can. He can't sometimes help but react to what she does or says..I guess that's part of the reason why he's alone. That guy in the uniform (I think his name is atsumu?) Pretty much crushed Jintan. I feel bad for him now. Damn..Menma tryna shrug off what Jintan said back when they were kids...gets depressing by the minute. Also, when she comes home to her family, damn I cried a bit. Her brother wasn't tryna be a jackass but that really mustve hurt Menma.. There's a lot of emotions running in this anime, I really love it. Annoying dead girl that looks like Index. That's what a first thought of Menma :S What I want to know is she a ghost or a figure of Jinta's imagination? Cause he seems to think he's hallucinating yet she can interact with the world to some degree. I really don't know what to expect of this show. |
Wow, that was pretty good. I've seen 7 Clannad episodes and so far that had more of an impact than any of those did on me. |

A lot better than expected. Hanasaku Iroha just got some competition for best Slice of Life of the season, if not best anime, but it's too early to say that. As an anime original story, I'm looking forward to the rest of this. I'm crossing my fingers on too many shows to have a 20+ episode count this season. Also, I love the OP and ED used. They fit so perfectly.     |

I wonder if this is going to get as depressing as Clannad. Every season seems to have one or two shows that stand out from the others. This might be one of those shows. Since we've already had the revelation that Meiko is dead, I don't think we'll end up in the same place as Clannad or some of the other tearjerkers (although I'll admit my eyes were pretty moist a couple of times in this episode). I'm wondering where this is going to go since she seems pretty corporeal for a ghost (anaru could feel Meiko's weight around her neck and the door and glass were moved when she went home). This season is actually shaping up to be much better than I thought it would. Please don't feed the trolls! This surpassed all my expectations. It is difficult for a person to come to terms with a traumatic past, and this first episode has set up and handled those heavy emotions really well. I hope the show continues at this level. It is nice to have a show this season which is thematically mature (relative to other anime, that is). This seems to be a somewhat solid season. |

Since Meiko has died and nobody seems to see her apart from Jinta, it seems like it'll contain some fantasy as well. I wonder what her actual wish is. I bet on something like the club coming back together. I wonder if he'll succeed in doing so.  |
The first impression I got was that this would be a very cute anime...I was quite wrong about that; the feeling remained though. Probably Menma will try to unite everyone through Jintan. Meh, anything else I could say is that this could as well become one of my favorites this season... |
