And as expected, they stretched 1 chapter in a single episode...
Half of episode 7 was filler with Eren and Mikasa walking around town, all so that the episode would end in the cliffhanger "humanity has not perished". Then we have episode 10 where they slow down the pace. Because of that, a lot of kruger dialogue was cut in episode 9.
Why not make 11 episodes?

I have no problem with this episode but why did they had to rush grisha flashback?
Eren character development is based on kruger. Eren is protecting historia the same way kruger protected dina. He is being influenced by his memories.

I just dont get it. Its like that time when they cut levi beating historia.

I started crying when Eren showed compassion for that titan. It was such a wonderful addition to the anime. In the manga I could tell that he didn't hate titans anymore but I didn't know he actually felt bad for them. Beautiful character development.

Because she was "brainwashed" by the King's will when she received the Founding titan, that's why she wouldn't have lift a finger to help the people inside the walls. Grisha did the right thing

Paths entails future users can see past memories of a user of the 9 titans, past user of 9 titans can see future users'memories. And, throughout it all, goes towards the coordinate (Founding Titan). Do you know why all titans sent to Paradis goes to the Wall? Because the all want to find the Founding Titan.

I like Pixis and Historia - they make decisions for the benefit of people, unlike the other military leaders.

Now Eren starts to talk like Levi: "I don't know what the right choice is. No one can predict the future" 👏 LOL

Levi.Get.Into.The.Water. 😡

It's sad that Erwin doesn't get to know/see all of this 😭

I will see how good/useful Hange and Armin will be in the future as Erwin's replacement.

I like how the anime added a scene of Eren touching the Titan and saying, "This is one of our people".

Eren's gang are 16 now. Did you notice that the voice actors change their voices a little to make themselves sound a bit older? Awesome voice acting!

BEAUTIFUL ADAPTATION OVERALL! Although WIT Studio did cut a lot of character scenes in S3 Part 1, I hope they will stay with us for Season 4.

Stay with us, WIT Studio!

The Ocean scene was amazing. Kaji has come so far as a voice actor, in a similar v8en to Eren who also come so far as a character.

Amazing season. Eren's evolution as a protagonist is great and the final scene of the main cast looking out to the ocean was both beautiful and heartbreaking.

Does anyone know the name of the final song that played during the credits? I'm hoping it'll be released along with the soundtrack.

My body is so fucking ready for season 4. What a masterpiece of a show. if you asked me at the end of season 1 whether or not I thought this show would be a contender for top 10 anime in general I'd have laughed in your face, but fucking hell, I haven't seen a show this solid since I started watching anime. The writing has been so damn good, SnK stands head and shoulders above the rest of its competition and I'm so damn happy to see so many more people starting to realize the greatness of this show.

Easily a solid 10/10, "Hero", "Midnight Sun" and "That Day" are some of the best episodes of anime I've seen. Fuck man what is it with this year producing so many good shows? Mob Psycho 100's second season was pure bliss, JoJo part 5 has been top-tier and revitalized my adoration for the series, and now this. Looking forward to rewatching this season with my family, lmao. Good job WIT and Isayama-sensei. Honest to god, shows like this make me want to completely re-check my scores for other shows because of how good it's been. If any anime deserves a 10 so far it's this one, by the time this show is done I can easily see it being just as well-regarded or even moreso than FMA:B

I can't wait to see how people react to what's to come. Completely disagree with the people who think the series goes downhill from here on out, if anything it's 100% the opposite, this is the point where AoT truly becomes a masterpiece in my eyes. It's going to be so fantastic to see this series come to a close next year, what a fun ride we've got ahead.

but it REALLY annoys me that there's a plot hole unless someone fixes it
As Eren has a titan so as he touched Historia's hand he regained and got some memories right? then isn't supposed to be the same with Armin as he got the colossal titan?!!

Only the founding titan's power is able to make its user access other memories when in contact with a person of royal blood or if the actual user has royal blood.
Eren possesses the founding titan because his father ate Frieda and then Eren ate him so yeah, him touching Historia can trigger memories but its not the same case for Armin or other titan shifters.

Incredible finale. All the emotions I felt while reading chapter 90 were perfectly conveyed throughout this episode. The ocean scene in particular was beautiful yet heartbreaking in its foreshadowing of incoming pain and tragedy, and so were the end credits. A whole year and a half is going to be a long wait for animeonlies who chose not to read the manga after this season, but I commend them for their patience and willpower.

Whichever studio gets to adapt it, the last season is going to be a wild ride.

The faces of Uri and Frieda after inheriting the titan don't really look like the faces of brainwashed people, but more of those that got to accept their purpose in life (most likely also their own death) and also truly understand the world because, for example, I don't think Rod had any clue of what was happening (we can see him telling his father that they can get rid of all the titans...)

I don't believe Rod's excuse for the defeat of Frieda: her lack of experience controlling the titan, the strongest titan as he also said. What made Grisha more experienced than Frieda? That one day that it took him to reach the walls and a random memory now and then?

The royal family members who inherited the Founding titan were clearly in full control of their ancestor's memories and most likely were also able to see some of the future (as seen in Uri's last words to Kenny: the world will crumble). Maybe they can see only the future of the next titan vessel and I am going to use Uri again as an example. In the same speech that he gave Kenny, he said that he (we can see that he refers to his ancestor's actions as being his own actions) was a fool to believe that peace can be obtained within the walls (meaning that at some point he truly believed in this plan). Judging by his speech, I think that Uri was the first coordinate to see that the plan will fail.

I really don't believe that future coordinates can be controlled by the will of the previous ones. Wasn't the King from 100 years ago also under the control of his predecessor's will? Why was he able to suddenly stop fighting and radically change his view over the world?

These are just some random thoughts/questions of mine. I believe that the truth or reasons behind all this have still not been revealed because we don't have access to the thoughts of a royal coordinator.

A very complete season both in terms of history and action. It covers one of my favorite sequences (if not my favorite sequence) of chapters in the manga (from ch. 80 (Erwin's final speech) to ch.90, which was this episode), having 3 or 4 episodes amongst the best ones in the whole series.

It's not getting a 10 just because as a manga reader I think some specific scenes lacked better OST, direction or even animation. The production value was still very good tho.

I give it a 9/10. It was probably my favorite or second favorite AoT season, despite having given 10 to the first season a long time ago.

Looking forward to watching the final season!

So this is the end of the 3rd season part 2 : it started with a blast, ended up leaving a immense crater that symbolizes the amount of stuff which appeared. Indeed, similar to AoT's protagonists, we discovered - at least for those who do not read the manga - that a totally external world existed, actually breaking everything we used to believe in.

This last episode gave me some chills when the Scout Legion arrived at the beach, the ocean representing something totally unknown but totally real. God, that really leaves so many things to think about... during around 55 episodes, we used to believe Titans were the only threats and now it really is over, letting place for something even bigger.

Season 4 already seems so far away from now but I'll be waiting for it impatiently !

If it didn't get way back on Season 1, at least have it here. Because what they did in this Season is just beyond anything I or anyone could have imagined. Beautiful ending for a beautiful show. It was such a wonderful journey. Whole Season 3 was great, but its second part was a tasty cherry on top. I will say it again, even though I wrote it multiple times before: I consider Season 3 Part 2 not only as the best part of "Attack on Titan" anime, but also as a masterpiece and one of the best animes ever created.

Btw. I've been guessing... how Hanji found out that all titans were gonna concentrate by the walls of Maria? Is it because they aimed for places where there're many non-titans and territories on which people re-settled down lately were perfect place for titans' attack?

Completely agree here. I have 0 doubt in saying this is one of the best series out there, I'll defend that statement to the death from dumbasses that spam the "AoT is overrated!!!" meme, it holds absolutely 0 water after how objectively well-done this season was in terms of its writing

Like, seriously, is there any show or manga out there that's got a twist as monumental and well-handled as the basement reveal? This series foreshadows stuff so much from the earlier chapters and almost flawlessly links things up to go full-circle, episode 8 and 9 absolutely floored me with just how well everything connected. If this was a mediocre series the basement reveal would've probably just been a cure for the titans. but god damn, having a twist that not only expands the entire scope of the story but recontextualizes everything as well and goes off in a purely morally gray direction? This show is a modern classic, easily.
