Also i think you misunderstood me. I said you're probably not going to enjoy because you're here mainly for the mind games ("you said "the aspect that brought me to this show is the relationship and mind game of kaguya-Shirogane") , and as the story there will be less and less mind games. That's what i meant.ttcchen said: LiedElfen said: if the only thing driving you to watch this anime is the mind games then this might not be for you. Cause in the end it's still a romcom, not a psychological mystery like TPN. Romance and comedy are the main point, while mind games will be second. I'm sure you've already noticed how some segments of the episodes are plain comedy and don't have mind games, some aren't even about kaguya and shirogane. To me, that's the strong point of this series: the development of the side characters. But if you don't like any side characters and only the main then you're most likely not going to be enjoying this series very much. Just giving you a heads up now.JizzyHitler said: LiedElfen said: I mean shes a main character so its not like she vanishes or anything, but we are kind of at the point where she gets less overwhelming presance just cause we have ishigami in the fray and were starting to get the kaguya circlejerk chapters that have a gradually noticible continuity (granted they are adpating out of order so who knows the order).I'm liking this show so far and it has maintained a great level quality wise, i like the voice acting and the animation, the characters are relatable but i'm starting to get annoyed by the amount of time fujiwara takes in each episode, she is a good comedic character but she doesn't have much depht and the characters i like the most are Kaguya and Shirogane and they and their relationship is supposed to be the main focus of the show not the not so good jokes of fujiwara. I'm still enjoying the show but this is getting annoying, i certainly expect it to improve because it would feel flat and superficial if it doesn't. But if Fujiwara is annoying you now I really doubt anything is gonna sway you especially cause I feel like she had the least screentime of the 4 protags this ep. I am just gonna go on a fanboy whim though and say the remaining episodes are going to bolster ishigami and kaguya popularity by a fair amount if thats any consolation I don't consider Fujiwara a main character, i only consider the characters that drive the story as main and those are kaguya and shirogane. Chika and Ishigami can still be considered a main depending on the definition you use but the two main for me are the ones that drive the story. Ishigami and Chika and hayasaka by the way are excellent and important characters but the premise of the show is the relationship of Kaguya-Shirogane and how they want to make the other to confess. Also thanks but i don't need any consolation so thanks for that, Ishigami is a good character as i already said but i don't especially like him, the aspect that brought me to this show is the relationship and mind game of kaguya-Shirogane so i just want to see more important things than the ones happening in the episodes adapted. I honestly don't see the need in saying someone that he won't enjoy the series much just because he isn't a fan of the side characters, i already said they are excellent characters, what else do i need to say?. I know this is a romance-comedy but i'm talking about meaningful interactions between the main, the best episodes are those that involve the main in a meaningful way and eventhough i still enjoy this "somewhat" funny episodes i don't consider them at the level of the best of the show. The "detective chika" was boring to me just because we already saw it not long ago and also the "romance advice" was repetitive, i enjoy this series but i am still able of saying the flaws it has because it has some glaring ones. Also just because they haven't confessed or kissed yet doesn't mean their romance is slow. Their daily interaction will make them fall deeper and deeper in love and i see that not as a flaw but as a positive point. Honestly though if you're bored with this eps you'll probably be bored of the rest of the episodes in this season. If you want to see their romance develop already then jump straight to the latest chapter of the manga. I won't begin typing the flaws it has because i don't want to make a review of it nor do i want to banish the show since i like it a lot, i just expressed what i'm not liking as much of the show as i thought the episodes discussion threads isn't solely to praise the show but to say what it is giving you so far(explain if you are liking it or not and why). Also flaws is a subejctive matter so what could be flaws for me, maybe for you are virtues and viceversa however that doesn't deny it has it's flaws as every anime has ever had since there isn't a single series that didn't had. I already explained what i meant when i said "mind games of kaguya-shirogane" i think you're missing the relationship part which holds a higher importance in the sentence and the meaning behind it. The mind games thing comes from seeing people praising it as some kind of "love Death note" and while that isn't a problem of the series by itself it still is about the series. With the romance aspect I'm not talking about showing those kind of lovedy-dovey things, i'm talking more about meaningful interactions between themselves in a way that helps them get closer and show the audience how they grow to understand each other more constantly, a clear example is episode3 which is the best of the series as of yet for me. I'll ask you to please stop making orders since you don't have an employee. I'm making a suggestion. Flaws are not opinions. What you don't like about a show does not equal to its flaws. Well then thanks for your suggestions but i don't find them useful. The show has it's flaws even if you want to consider it objectively the lack of things happening is one. kuro_hachi said: ttcchen said: LiedElfen said: I'm not ordering you. ttcchen said: LiedElfen said: what flaws? Calm bro, ok if you want to see the development between Kaguya and Shirogane then you need to wait for the last few episodes of this anime. I'm as calm as i can be. I was just getting impatient for the lsck of things happening but i've been enjoying the show so far, it just seems that episode 3 was too good for it's own good or at least for me. So.... You are expecting a romantic comedy series to be more blunt and straightforward romance with quick progress? I'm sorry maybe you should look more at Shoujo series. Or maybe you should check last season anime "Boarding School Juliet". It's a romcom with notable pace like you might prefer. I'm sorry to say this but if you are expecting any romcom series to be like that, fast-paced and blunt romance. Then you might watching the wrong series bruh. Even Nisekoi with Harem as its main feature doesn't go that fast. |

Oh man what a surprise hearing what they are adapting next episode though, prepare for some serious heartwarming. That said I hope to god they dont adapt anything else past chapter 45 other than whats adapted next episode cause I dont want anything else getting cut now and then having to either remain gone for good or having to clog down a potential 2nd season by adapting leftovers What is the next story after this? I read the manga and I forget. Could you leave a spoiler tag to me for that? thx. Next episode is adapting chapter 55, which is when kaguya and ishigami's relationship starts improving, kaguya sees that hes struggling with exams and potentially getting held back and tries to help him study. He thinks hes being tortured but the long running misunderstanding of him thinking she hates him/wants to kill him is put to rest and we get a really sweet scene of her standing up for him when to 2 asshole girls talking badly behind their backs. We also get a nice tease of ishigami's past that gets explored in the sports festival arc I think the reason they are doing this, is cause in the fireworks episode when kaguya is going over all the things she had finally gained after a life of solitude she does list ishigami as being the first underclassman she ever had to care for, I think they chose to adapt this now cause it'll give more weight to that since its the first time those 2 really start to get along. Its gonna be a great episode because of it, i just dont feel too fond of them skipping to the post fireworks chapters, but as i stated in the spoiler there does appear to be a very valid and beneficial reason behind this |

I'm still enjoying the show but this is getting annoying, i certainly expect it to improve because it would feel flat and superficial if it doesn't. Just want to share my thoughts here. I am a manga fan from Kaguya and I think you have raised some legitimate concern about the show. I think it is good that we could voice our opinion about what could improve or what about the show you like and dislike. I would like to share more about my interpretation of the show, and hopefully enhance your experience in this show. I have always think about this show as similar to FRIENDS. And, the fact that a lots of event so far happen in the student council just make it similar to the nature of a sitcom series. So, similar to FRIENDS where the relationship between Rachel and Ross is the biggest theme, there is also Chandler, Joey and all the relationship with people around the series. Kaguya is a little bit like Tsundere chilren too when you have the MC relationship and the first side relationship from the couple that ask for advice. You kinda experience both super fast romance and super slow burn romance. Fujiwara is legitimately a MC and so is Ishigami. Since I am as much of a death note fan as you are ( believe me, I follow Death Note manga since chapter 1), I actually find it hard to find anything similar to it, even a little bit. The closest thing I found so far is the series Breaking Bad ( it is fucking good and even better than GoT in my opinion). Besides that, in the realm of anime, Kaguya is similar to Death Note in the sense of the infamous potato chip scene. I could see that reflected in this episode of burning thumb, episode 6 of Ishigami eating. The show also address few psychological concept such as Stockholm syndrome, Barnum effect, Cognitive Dissonance,... I would love more psychological mind game too but I am kinda glad the author try to break the formula since I have seen some complaints about them getting in the way of the romance Finally, about the progress in romance, I think you are right about episode 3 as a good progress. I would like to point out few progress from ep 1 to now: ep 1 they hold hand, ep 2 Kaguya got to enjoy and appreciate his food ( cough.. shokugeki no soma ), ep 3 share a bike, ep 4 is actually most progress when Kaguya defend Pres and he acknowledge that and also text exchange, ep 5 is sharing umbrella and Kaguya explain why he like Pres, ep 6 is when Shirogane acknowledge that he is being tsundere. I felt like they could have become a couple and repeat this same behavior. So, I know you are impatient and so am I. I would not spoil anything but I think most people have this question in mind: is this a show for comedy mainly like Nozaki-kun or more romance focused like Last Game. I think it is both. You might have to wait for a bit like Toradora but the payoff is worth it. It is faster than FRIENDS a lots (when it took like 50 ep for Ross and Rachel to be together). It is definitely slower than Bunny Girl senpai ( 3 ep). I noticed a trend recently when a lots of romantic manga pass through confession straight to bf/gf to marriage or marriage slice of life. So, probably this manga would be slower than that in terms of the stage of relationship. Anyway, thank you for reading. I hope that I could help even a little in setting the right expectations so that you could enjoy the anime as much as I do. Also, attached is a link of good romance manga/ anime. Another funny episode, though I must admit it wasn't as funny as the last few. I love how even in an anime the anime/manga club puts you even lower on the social pyramid than people who have no club. Fujiwara being unable to whistle was very funny. Kaguya laughing super hard at "wiener" was super adorable. If there's one thing this show gets perfectly, it's the voice acting without a doubt. |

This anime keeps getting better and better! I thought that last episode is already the funniest one and can't be surpassed, yet this episodes overshadow the last episode once more. All three of them are literal comedic gold. What defines a good comedy lies with its characters, and characters in this anime is just top tier, so much joy watching them interacting/ making fun of each other. |

Lol, great episode. Ishigami has the worst timing. Hilarious love advice given by Shirogane. Last few minutes of the episode when ishigami was hearing kaguya nad Fujiwara , I couldn't stop my laughter . And in the end saying 'Do you have one?' man it was good Overall -5/5 Looking forward to the next episode |

Honestly thought that weiner joke was the worst from the show. Just felt really cringey when it's overdone and felt forced. It wasn't even funny in the first place since I didn't feel like it was executed well but still, the show is overall one of the funniest I've seen in a while. Good episode either way. |

That "wiener" "joke" was so goofy and overdone again, but the fanbase seems to can't stop drooling about any kind of joke or asset this show uses. They stretched it for too long and made it too ridiculous, which happens here at a lot of jokes they try to push. And if it weren't for the overall narrational and character aspect I would give this show a 7, but then again it's not that much a setback. Still the show is lightyears from the craziness of Asobi Asobase or even shows like Hyakko, that rather went under radar, away, but still pisses me off. And if you kids want a good and believable laughter scene then there is a very good one in Land of The Lustrous... |

Lol, prez and his advice, just like that of a workaholic. Poor Ishigami though, not hitting the breaks, and then he realizes that Kaguya and Chika were behind him... “It was at this moment, he knew he fcked up”. That last part though, Chika teasing Kaguya endlessly and now the president thinks that they’re both nymphs. Lol. Great episode as always 5/5 |

Didn't think Ishigami paid attention to breasts. haha. The third part was the best. Sadly, the subtitles didn't do it justice. Fujiwara's sentences had double meaning. Like, they could mean "I wanted to make the president say 'pen*s'"; but they could also mean "I wanted to get the president's pen*s out". Which is why Shirogane covered himself up and ran away. Also, Fujiwara's conversation with Shinomiya also had double meanings. For Ishigami, it basically sounded like Fujiwara had one, and she was teasing Shinomiya with it. Didn't expect Shinomiya to have such an immature side. Fujiwara was such an innocent person when she was first shown. However, every episode, we learn how nasty she actually is. She definitely deserves her place in this anime. lol. |

Strong Hachiman vibes coming from Ishigami especially with that anti-youth rant Kaguya laughing is adorable. Chika is too precious. |

Some great battles this week, with Ishigami firmly cementing himself as the show's best character during the second battle. The last battle was pretty immature humour, but it still worked well enough. |

Wow, when you realise that Shirogane is the most innocent character in this main cast, things get really strange! Damn Chika is SAVAGE AF! Too bad she can't whistle. But like...Kaguya had done some research on things of life, and now is having a hard time with innocent words. In the end she actually is quite lewd, the way she see Shirogane at her club... |

I literally laughed out loud this episode, which is rare for anime to make me physically laugh (unless its konosuba),. I love this episode, its probably my favourite from this anime so far. |

This show continues to make me laugh so much. When I think for one second that one episode couldn't be beat, the next episode comes along and proves me wrong. Miyuki's advice for the lad about getting a part-time job and a boat licence, as well as sorting out his sweating hand was amusing, but Chika came along and bluntly told him that simply holding hands with his girlfriend in the right scenario would be better and she would be proven right at the end of the first segment. Still, seeing Kaguya wearing hat alongside love detective Chika was cute. =3 The second segment had Ishigami showing such spitefulness for sport clubs budgets due to some students having girlfriends. His crazy rant about it was crazy, but then he went even further about the bust size of Kaguya and Chika was gold. His expressions looked brilliant visually. Sadly for him, Kaguya and Chika came into the room and despite Miyuki shouting out to him to "Hit the brakes!!", Chika made a makeshift paper fan and whacked Ishigami on the head multiple times. The last segment was the best of the episode, with Kaguya having a weakness of laughing at the mention of the word 'wiener'. Chika took advantage of that PERFECTLY, as her thrilled expression at making Kaguya laugh looked so damn cute! =3 However, when Miyuki came into the room, Kaguya was able to thwart Chika's plan in making Miyuki say wiener until Chika shouted it out in frustration. However, Miyuki got the wrong idea of this, called the girls perverts and ran out of the room. Ishigami was also listening into this behind the door and couldn't stop the blood coming out of his nose! XD Excellent episode once again. ^_^ |

KyouKaiTen said: What does chika mean by cin-cin? Is it literally cin-cin? Then she's really a pervert From another contributor: Chinchin is the Japanese name for the dog trick we call "begging" in English. Chinchin is also a juvenile word for penis, something like 'peepee' or 'wiener.' |
