Here's the sexual assault part of each season. I'm just gonna ignore that the WN exists right now. I know their just AIs but damn, Project Alicization is working, they feel like humans and I can sympathize with them. It's kinda sad that the Japanese are so good when it comes to this shit (Just give me vanilla). Though they deserved that, I think the punishment could've been more brutal.

That was a brutal episode. To be honest, i like the development of SAO, to be a little bit more brutal, but..... eh, since the end of ALO arc i didn't want to see that kind of scene again. It made me sad and angry at the same time... like... Eugeo.

You just can't have SAO without rape scenes I guess. I wish we had other ways to show people being evil... Still, at least it was less shitty as Asuna's at the end of ALO.
The bad guy glitching out was really disturbing, but I'm glad they both got what they deserved.

If they were going for a creepy scene, they certainly achieved it with this episode. That was pretty disturbing, but nevertheless the directing was pretty good and the plot moves on. Alice gets introduced finally.

the worst anime that uses too many scenes of sexual harassment and this is really very disturbing. even though I am over 18 years of age I simply cannot accept the route that always leads to sexual harassment. starting from the first season of Sword art online which leads to route 2 which is precisely the first route of solving the problem does not really give an impression and instead seems to be in a hurry and on the second route again there is sexual harassment and the worst that has ever happened to the main character / play heroine. I respect Kirito's first enemy, Akihiko Kayaba, more and more. it gives the impression of a dignified enemy and not a pervert who harasses women

The writing is just especially awful surrounding the whole dynamic. There are so many questions about why things ended up this way, how anyone thought it was a good idea, why rape isn't against the taboo index but theft/murder/hunting are (and why do people even have or use weapons then?). Why did they react to the situation so flippantly and not alert teachers first? Why on earth did they think it was solved? Why did the girls go by themselves? Why did Kirito take so long?

The whole scene is just so long and pointlessly gratuitous. Like if your whole point is to NTR Eugeo and Kirito, you could pick any random hentai and find a better written scene. I hesitate to even say they were saved because they basically just screamed for help over and over while Eugeo watched, and then were showered head to toe in blood. The headpats at the end are especially creepy.

I really appreciate how Goblin Slayer handles these scenarios. It truly evokes terror and helplessness. Fate/Zero is a good example of a character being OTP evil in darkly satisfying way. This scene is just trying to make an excuse to violate the taboo index and have hero moments, but doesn't feel heroic at all. It barely qualifies as fanservice. You could honestly treat episodes 5-10 as filler and not miss anything but a few esoteric ramblings.

My suggestion is to watch the dub. The dialogue is cleaned up, and 2 whole minutes from the scene are cut. It still gets the point across and actually feels heroic. Instead of just listening to them scream, he just acts. Much more satisfying.

Feel free to have scenes like this in anime, but don't insult me with such shit writing. This is just cringey.

100% agree, Kayaba and his dream of his castle is the single most interesting, redeeming thing about the SAO story, after that all the main bad guys sum up to rapists, I don't understand why authors write main bad guys as rapists, there are no both sides to this, it's just one side, they are wrong, and that is childish boring writing, best bad guys are characters that you can see where they are coming from, side with them or even root for them, how can anybody do that with a rapist?, authors gimp their own stories by including that

I don't mind all the convenience in SAO, it's entertaining in it's own little way. Sure, situations could have happened differently or smarter, but it wouldn't be as good IMO.

I honestly wasn't a huge fan of this series up until this point. I only was watching the 3rd season because I like to complete all shows I start to binge, but as I did that, I was really bored of this show. And then when Eugeo was struggling with trying to fight back, the violence of the episode, Kirito not being the bland protagonist, creeps immediately being punnished, and Alice showing up at the end?? GOD! Great episode! (It's a shame I had to wait 2 seasons and 10 episodes for it to happen) but I hope it continues!

Wow. Just wow.

Although this is not the first time i've seen a rape scene in a anime before, this is the one that's the most disturbing. I was wondering how fucked up the anime can possibly get after 9 episodes of Kirito and Eugeo training and getting bullied by those two fuckers.

And oh boy, that one specific rape scene is indeed shocking and disturbing. Probably even more so than Redo of Healer, despite Keyaru actually fucking Flare. Probably because how it was animated and how the voice acting went.

Thank goodness Kirito came to rescue and fuck these mfs for trying to rape the poor girls.

Also, glad that Alice finally makes an appearance in the last few minutes of the episode. Hopefully things will get more interesting from there on.

But besides that, what happened after was so chaotic and chilling, especially that glitch scene. The horror in the eyes of that garbage noble was well done. And what happened to Eugeo. And what happened at the end!?

I think this episode feels like it's just for making people angry and disgusted.It was like I'm watching some crime-drama, the assault scene was more a like real ra*e scene and I don't know creators were while making this episode, they not only did the protagonist unable to but those villian characters so much gross and hard to not punch the screen and their voice it feels so real,good and gross at the same time.

This is Eugeo Character Build Up, U missed that part? This scene was VERY VERY SIGNIFICANT in showing how sick The Underworld has gotten and why Rath needs Kirito, those NOBLES who does evil doesn't gets punished because of their higher standards but those commoners with low levels are punished. This is because Quinella Re-wrote the laws of the Underworld.

This is also important and gives an important hint about the Seal of the Right Eye, which will be revealed in the War Of Underworld part 2.

I agree the Asuna scene wasn't important at all but this was a very Significant scene,, ou people keep watching Shin-chan shows,, if something dark happens in SAO u start barking but the same happens in Berserk u start shouting like wow........ Try to understand the context bro. If it's SAO doesn't mean it's meaningless.
