| Zou is surprisingly packed with big-development episodes. Even at the slower post-timeskip pace a load of important stuff has happened in a short amount of time. Rather than comment on the big developments that mostly speak for themselves, I'm going to speculate on some interesting subtler developments in the latest episode I watched (775) and try not to explode with hype on that preview... Agggh that preview! Why did I have to pick ep 775 to be my last for the night? That's not going to help me sleep. Edit: I should probably refrain from humoring epileptic tree theories I come up with, but I just want to say that if Oda ever does something completely off the wall like Carrot = Vivi then I'm gonna laugh my butt off. |

I mean, the Switch is shaping up quite well so far and has the potential to be a huge success but just how much of a success beyond the initial preorder stock that's been bought by (likely mostly) hardcore fans, that we won't know for a while longer. Right now I'd argue the WiiU was such an incredible flop, they are even behind Microsoft. And I have no idea where people are getting this idea that Scorpio will change anything. It will be nothing but a slightly better PS4 Pro at a higher price point. Even if they come out with an insanely competitive and aggressive price, Sony can simply adjust theirs. And at the end, the cheaper models are what sell the big numbers, not another 'premium' model that will cost (more than) twice as much and will, just like the Pro, play the same games. Not to mention, I currently expect the extra power to be largely burned on targeting true 4k or at least coming closer to it which will probably only make a difference to enthusiasts - your average user will probably not see one at all. Also Nobody but Microsoft is going to bother to put in the extra effort. Finally, good luck crafting something that will set itself visually apart from Uncharted 4, God of War and Horizon at this point. At the end I think more than the Scorpio itself it's important for Microsoft to pull people back in with software because they already have a far more competitve model in form of the Xbox One S. |
