| The episode was alright. I am curious as to Izetta power her grand was talking about because right now her mana drains quickly after a few shots. Too bad we won't be seeing Hitler. Don't get me wrong; I think the show would've been more interesting/entertaining with a villain like him. I'll hold my horses on its yuri before anything concrete. After being disappointed so many times I don't get hyped so easily now. |

| After last weeks strong showing and the escape from the burning plane i was looking forward to seeing what happens in this episode The propaganda videos really do set the mood and actually look quite authentic Hmm the designs for the fighters though were really good It kinda does resemble the BF109 which i think was the point lol Scenery and animation is gorgeous as always Hmm so the germanian soldiers wiped out Izetta's entire village and her family no wonder she hates them The combat scenes between the fighters and Izetta/Hime was really well done so she uses blood to use her spells eh Hmm so thats the princesses father eh he seems to be a wise and considerate person Against an army that uses combined arms tactics and bravery alone will not be able to stop them its no wonder the soldiers are disheartened as they retreat Glad that Izetta and Fine managed to come across the survivors from the fort and that they had a doctor with them Fine was cute even when she was little lol so thats how they met the encounter was just so cute Wow Izetta really respects Fine a lot but since she's her first friend and a princess its no surprise i guess Hmm so the princess doesn't wish for Izetta to use her powers to defend her and the kingdom because she doesn't want her to break her oath and promise considerate of her And now it looks like a major battle is going to take place next episode Overall a great episode that advanced the plot and introduced some new characters while developing Izetta and Fine. Can't wait to see what happens next episode |

| Another episode of mediocrity. Characters as flat as a board (Izetta annoys me most of all), the broom-gun dogfight was decently animated, but utterly boring, and finally the sound effects and music just seemed off to me at times. Not the actual audio, which was fine, but rather the way it was used. In fact with everything in this show I'm getting the impression of quality that's poorly edited. Dropping it. |

| Akino with bless4 doing a great heavy metal OP... a very suiting ost. This show seriously broadsided me with it's presentation. Right from the get-go it sucks you into the WWII-era before you even realized it, and presents itself like a well-studied western production. For something from japan to present itself as if from the perspective of a different culture, and do it accurately, is quite a leap. |

| The opening makes the princess look like a side character. Once again, music is fantastic, though the battle itself felt a bit lacking and I didn't exactly enjoy listening to the witch question if people were dead after stabbing the plane with a ton of ice and watching them crash. Backstory was very nice. |

| The animation quality dropped a bit, but it is still great just like the first episode. This series seems very promising, however many has doubt it would go beyond just good since Hiroyuki Yoshino is the one handles the script. People keep bashing him for ruining anime plot halfway through the end like in some of his works, well, I would keep a good faith that he can pull this one off, some people said Heavy Object is bad, but I thoroughly enjoyed it with all it's flaw, I just hope he will bring a little piece of So Ra No Wo To spirit into this series, a calm and yet strong wind. He's quite good at bringing immersive feeling in his works. |

| I get the feeling Izetta will be dead by the end of this anime... she isn't all-powerful or anything. She had to use her own blood (sacrifice) in order to use the ice spikes. But, that's going to make this a bit better to watch. |

| Who is subbing this? I guess HorribleSubs. The episode titles are so vaguely translated... At least if I go by the German ones. For the second ep it was kinda ok because the translation wouldn't have been much different but the title for ep3 is actually wrong. Now I don't know if the subs are translating the Japanese title and that one isn't accurate either or if this is simply the lack specificity of the Japanese language which leads to inaccurate English translations in comparison to what the creator wanted to deliver by using German. It's not really a problem but it is a bit sad that such little effort was spent on the translation of titles. Especially if I consider that even Google Translate manages to translate it correctly(not kidding. I checked before writing this). Well all that aside. Looks pretty good for now. One thing was kinda ridiculous though. I'm talking about that soldier going like "400km/h? YOU MONSTER!!!" when he is basically following a girl flying on a freaking anti-tank rifle xD Are you kidding me? That's the point at which you draw the line? Not when you see a girl flying on a rifle? |

| One thing i dislike about these historical themed ww2 era shows is the villain is always portrayed in a nazi-esqe uniform. There are plenty of other uniform choices for them to use. Other than that i have no problems with the show so far. |

| The legs in this show are damn fine. I don't even normally pay attention to legs in anime. I knew Izetta wasn't going to give up that easily, despite Princess Fine urging her to run away. The broadcast dub voice for Izetta had some weirdly delivered lines this episode, but it wasn't too bad. |

| Very solid episode. I wasn't so sure I'd keep up with this show after the first ep but this one gives me some hope. Enjoyed the bit of history we see between Izetta/Fine. I don't quite understand the critique that Izetta is "out of place" and detracts from the realism, though. I mean.. isn't that the conceit of the show? Witches and magic in an alternate-history? Anyway, minor nitpicks on some of the aesthetics of battle, but overall a well written and paced episode. Hopefully they can keep it interesting and not kill the [building?] momentum. | Two girls flying on a rifle! The OST actually does work so well with the scenes. It feels a little retro like 2000's era but in a good way. Fine and Izetta truly are best girls. We love an action couple. We do not have enough of that in GL. Period. |

| Epic OP by bless4. Nice, a magic vs science series. Horrible battle in the past when they were invaded. Oh, yeah. I love the main female leads. Lovely voices, even the eng dub. And nostalgic past of when the two of them met. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
