That was fabulous. Just when I thought Sakamoto would be in trouble, he turned events around and made everything better again.
Too fabulous!
Apparently there will be another episode but will be released from BD instead at a later date. 8/10 series. Very funny stuff and I loved a lot of the segments. It was also a faithful adaptation on most parts.
This episode already adapted the ending of the manga, so I guess they decided to make this a 12 episode series instead of 13. So will there be any bonus episode released with the BDs or no? Anyways nice conclusion to a great series. Nice job of Acchan being used in Sakamoto's speech. And in the end Sakamoto's still a mystery, and that's a good thing.
Sakamoto's future fate theories are scary and depressing af.
Well 13th episode has been delayed and will release with the DVD and Blu-ray because of the earthquakes from a couple of months ago. Last episode was hilarious. Atcchan crying while hanging from Sakamoto was great and I really enjoyed the way they adapted the finale. Sakamoto is.... Sakamoto. Really looking forward to the 13th episode! Sakamoto/10
"Sakamoto desu ga?"
-Sakamoto, with a pie on his face, to hide his emotions.
The series overall was a good watch, last episode was especially emotional. Quite sad that I can't see Sakamoto anymore...although there is ep13, which I have no clue what it is going to be about given that all the manga has been adapted.
I didn't expect the ED like that. Quite sad when Sakamoto leaving. The way he hide his tears is truly unique. But that leave a question: where will he go then?
Looks like this is the end for now, I hope we get an OVA with the last episode that didn't air, Sakamoto ended up being a mystery, I'm fine with that to be honest, but damn, I will miss him.
9/10 and third best anime of this Spring 2016 Season for me.
So I guess I can write freely here, since you pretty much have watched all the anime if you're here?
There's this theory going on among the manga readers in which Sakamoto is DYING. And that is why he is ''leaving'' or whatever, according to the manga. I find it extremely interesting, as it makes a lot of sense.
Because I am a lazy person, I decided to copy/paste some of the comments I've seen on the last manga chapter or under this episode on some websites :
In case it's not clear to some people, Sakamoto is dying. That's the rumor the teachers confirm, why his classmates were all so sad, and ties in with his only regret being not having counted all the holes in the infirmary/hospital ceiling (meaning he'd been there a lot for treatment). Also why he, as a freshman, was allowed to be speaker for senior graduation. The manga makes it a bit more clear, and at kiss manga there's a better comment than mine explaining and confirming Sakamoto's illness.
And those pies! If you notice everyone's tears were covered up by a pie in the face. To show strength like Sakamoto always had. Then at the 21:33 mark, we see for the first time Sakamoto show emotion. It's a quick shot so you might need to pause, but it's really sad. Right after that you see him exiting with a pie on his face because he, like the others, began to cry.
Sakamoto lived his last year of life to its fullest! Such a tragic, beautiful story! ; ;
In the manga he kind of makes up an excuse (going to Mars for a project, though this is not actually possible at present time). Also there are some hints in the structure of the chapters (the cover page pictures him in a school locker and it kind of looks like he's a corpse in a casket); and when Hayabusa asks him if he's going for real to Mars he answers: "who knows?" implying the possibility he's told lies through all the chapter to not make other students suffer. Also if you read it you'll notice an eerie sadness in his face. There's definitely something going wrong in his life that can't be approached with his usual style, though he's always the best to hide his pain in front of others.
To make you feel worse, Sakamoto is actually dying and wanted to hide it from everyone else, im too sleepy to explain but the Opera song he sang in episode 9 was about a man, his son and the god of death, the son is very ill and his father is riding on his horse trying to get him to the doctor's village or something and on the way the son starts seeing the god of death and wants to play with him...etc by the time the father reaches the village his son had already died, plus in the final chapter sakamoto is laying back in a locker as if it were his Casket.
Some people who've already read the manga (me included) have another theory: he's dying. In the manga he kind of makes up an excuse (going to Mars for a project,

I'd also like to add, since I don't remember seeing that particular point in those other comments, in the last chapter, Shou/Hayabusa asks Sakamoto ''Don't you have any regrets?'' and Sakamoto answers, word for word :
''If I were to have one... It would be not knowing... The exact number of holes in the infirmary's ceiling... I suppose''
Which pretty much means he has been spending a LOT of time in the infirmary doing just that, counting the number of holes in the ceiling, and probably not because he wanted to.
AAAAAND at chapter 22, or the snowball fight, basically, which is episode 11, you can see Kubota and Sakamoto talking at the beginning. Then Kubota adds, in his thoughts :
''Yes, from now on too... I can walk the same path as Sakamoto-kun.
That time, I still... Belived it.''
It was a good anime.
I wouldn't say is the best comedy of this season, but is definetly up there
It had some moments that were predictable or boring... but the anime can make up for that
8/10
(Also, does someone know what was that anime that appeared right before the ending?)

ANYWAYS! I don't know if that actually interested someone. Just wanted to bring some info in here.
This is so well thought out it's scary. What an interesting theme the entire anime would have if that was the case..
but gg. Great ending to a great series. everything about the ending kept the same vibe as the rest of the entire anime. This was really a great ending. Everything about it rang Sakamoto-Kun as the rest of the anime did, and this was probably the best episode too. Such a shame an episode got cut out.
I tried to raise the anime's rating but we apparently only go up to 10.
Gonna miss this show. Made me laugh every episode except for maybe the fat mother always coming in. Those episodes were pure cringe. Can't wait for October for the final episode.
What a ride that was. The humor in this show is a hit or miss. While the anime is funny enough to keep me amused, nothing ever made me laugh out loud. That being said, no comedy has ever really made me laugh out loud. I loved how Sakamoto just defies logic and gets away with the most ridiculous of stunts. It's so funny to watch.
This episode specifically, the knee destruction move, LMAO. Also, Sakamoto showing us some Assassination Classroom Korosensei skills near the end was pretty great. The comedy won't please everybody as I know a few people who find the humor boring but it definitely hit me. 7/10
This was a very enjoyable anime, seeing Sakamoto and his never-ending swag was always very fun. I think this is the first time Sakamoto's deadpan expression actually changed, but it was quite brief and then covered up by some pie.
Reading the theories posted above about the possibility that Sakamoto is dying makes this great finale even more emotional. Hopefully that wasn't the mangaka's underlying implication and it's just fans overthinking things, but if it's true, then that's just really sad.
"Who are you?"
"Haven't you heard? I'm Sakamoto."
Perfect way to end the show, 7/10.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.
Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.
MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.
Great final episode. Lol Sera naked to the very end.
Well that was a nice memento for the graduates. That was an intense farewell address given by Sakamoto & Atsushi. Even got a bleeding hand & cut to the cheek from it.
OMG that "Knee Destruction" was hilarious. So long Fukase.
Farewell Sakamoto. Everyone throwing cream pies to cover up their emotions.
Sakamoto getting emotional in the end.
Sakamoto has been so fabulous & awesome throughout these 12 eps.
Cool, Cooler, Coolest.
Overall an enjoyable & funny show. One of the funniest shows I've seen this year. Gonna miss it.
8/10.

"I’ve set myself to become the King of the Pirates…and if I die trying…then at least I tried!" Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)
Now that's a "grand" farewell by Sakamoto, not that I didn't expect though. And that secret technique "Knee destruction"... It's just perfectly performed. LOL
I really couldn't give the slightest of fucks for these last 2 episodes. Besides that though, a good and entertaining show overall. I'll miss it quite a bit especially Sakamoto's perfect ass.

Needless to say, I finish all anime I start, no matter my initial opinion, no matter how bad it gets, I WILL FINISH IT! http://www.anime-planet.com/users/zunderdog24
Well, this was very enjoyable for what it is. Surely a bit silly but ultimately that just contributes to the level of enjoyability. Nobody needs a story in this case, crap over that. Cool OP, good ED, very enjoyable characters, a bit unrealistic Sakamoto but still cool/cooler/the coolest, good animation, what else?
I have to admit, i am gonna miss this.
At the end, Sakamoto has the cake on his face in a weird pattern. Also, Hayabusa correctly guesses that Sakamoto going to America is a lie; which means he is going somewhere else - a place which he cannot tell the truth about. Does that imply that Sakamoto is actually an alien?
That knee technique XD. Great finale! Sakamoto getting emotional got me emotional ;__;.... It was a pretty faithful adaptation, and I enjoyed this adaptation a lot. Gonna miss it. 9/10.
I know right, I just hope that's what the author ACTUALLY thought while making this. It wold be awesome and would definitely put Sakamoto Desu Ga? higher in my list.
Although it's already pretty high because I consider that theory to be true.
