| I don't value intelligence too much. Conscience and heart are stronger traits imo. Naruto isn't the most intelligent character but his heart is pure and his love is limitless. I'd say he's a smarter man than most of all who are listed ITT. |
| Yang Wenli Reinhard is too emotional and he's been beaten decisively. He even hella relies heavily on advice from Siggy at least in the first season. And is much more the product of the wealth of talent in his subordinates and almost always atvantage in numbers. Yang did way more with way way way less.. |

| My picks: - L - For his flawless logic and deduction. I´m not sure how good he is with sports like tennis and capoeira, so I won´t include physical intelligence. - Sora and Shiro - Brilliant logic. Their spatial and linguistic intelligences are also outstanding. - Edward Elric - Alchemist genius, which obviously includes a vast knowledge of chemistry and math. His physical intelligence is impressive, also. - Senku - Outstanding logical, mathematic and naturalist intelligences. Guess a bit of interpersonal, for one really need to understand his own body and mind to stand so many time counting and "speaking" to himself. - Osamu Dazai - Not a regular pick, I know. Excels in logic, deduction (seems like only Ranpo can surpass him) and strategy. Can talk perfectly in code, so also verbal. Can control his own heartbeat, which leads to high physical intelligence. And just a fun fact: his artistic intelligence sucks so hard it actually scares his peers. |

| Intelligence is very hard to measure, it depends on what topic or area you're measuring. For example, if you look at Son Goku, he's clearly far from the smartest anime character, but in terms of martial arts or fighting, I could argue he's without a doubt the smartest anime character. But, if we're going with the standard view on what intelligence is then yes the obvious answers being L and Light Yagami from Death Note, for obvious reasons if you've watched Death Note. Same goes for Shikaku and Shikamaru Nara from Naruto. The one's I'll throw out there are Emma, Ray and Norman from Promised Neverland. The problem solving and way's they advance while having all the odds stacked against them was very interesting to me. I'll also throw in Okabe Rintarou from Steins; Gate, simply because he invented time travel. |
