God, I almost died because of that Engrish.. It really killed and ruined the vibe of the movie. If you CAN'T then just don't do it, could of just spoke in Japanese. :L |

Well that was disappointing. The animation at times would have been sub-par for a regular anime episode, let alone for a movie... and that CGI... I didn't expect a freaking war movie. Even the action felt off. I spent most of the movie bored waiting for it to finish. |

A moment of silence for our forever friendzoned Ginoza, may your shattering heart lay in pieces. The movie itself was OK, I give it 7/10. Every time Akane undresses or tries to wear one, I wipe a sweat.. by the end I ran out of tissues. |

The movie left me a bit "meeeh". No character development, the plot was ok but not mindblowing and honestly if you can't pull out a mindblowing plot you can spice things up with a little fanservice. It's not such a bad thing... everyone does it. The bad guys were a bit idiotic and with no background at all. Can't help but comparing them to the awesome antagonists of season 1 and season 2. Overall didn't hate it but I wouldn't rewatch. |
I hate the word “fate.” Birth, encounters, partings, success and failures, fortune and misfortunes in life. If our lives are already set in stone by fate, then why are we even born? There are those born to wealthy families, those born to beautiful mothers, and those born into the middle of war or poverty. If that’s all caused by fate, then God is incredibly unfair and cruel. Because, ever since that day, none of us had a future and the only certain thing was that we wouldn’t amount to anything. - Takakura Shouma |

Season 1 was a pure perfection, season 2 was just bad and Psycho-Pass Movie is good again I'm so glad. It's nice to see Kogami and Gino's interactions once again, hah! Akane is annoying as always but shh. Good job Mika for discovery what is going on. You grow up really fast. TK's voice in the opening song YEEEAH 9/10 |

I dont even want to say I liked it more the season 2.. But atleast Kougami is back. And we got to see Makishima in his mind? So .. thats a win? I guess? The movie just felt really hollow. They said Japan stopped communication with other countrys because civil wars everywhere and yet here they are setting up sibyl in a civil war place and calling it a succes (by erasing every opposing thing with robots.. Jeah great victory) They sudden plot twist because why not, we have to finish this movie at some point. and much action. Thats it. When Makishima died I already had a bad feeling about this franchise, but this is the best you could have done? The studio totally carried this by awesome action scenes. meh.. |

I watched it dubbed so didn't see the bad Engrish of the original, what time was it on? I wanna find it! lol. I thought that was a really awesome movie and can't believe I only just got around to watching it! I really liked the plot, trying the Sybil system somewhere else other than Japan was an interesting test. It was surprising to see people hack it so easily so that they come up as clear, the ones in the army when they had massive psycho passes! D: The main army guy was hot <3 But the terrorists trying to overthrow the government led by Kougami was an unexpected plot and all because he knew something was going on that shouldn't have been. He's always so nice in trying to help people. I really loved the fight scenes! I forgot how great a mercenary fighter he was! the action scenes in this movie were amazing! He definitely has a magnetism about him, you can't help but feel drawn to his charm and charisma. Plus, he's so intelligent. I loved how Kougami and Akane's hair looked in the wind when it blew, I never usually mention such small details but it looked so realistic, it was breathtaking. I was so pleased to see that scene with Kougami and Makashima! that was very interesting and to prove he was a ghost in Kougami's head, he just walked straight through him lol. It was also nice to see Kougami and Ginoza bring down mechaman lol. Then Ginoza let him go and said he never wanted to see him again because he didn't want to have to arrest him or kill him! awww! that was nice! <3 they are both so hot <3 I am surprised Akane was the only one who went but it seemed the new girl knew what was going on already. So Japan replaced that guy in charge with a robot! I hope from what it said at the end that there will be a season 3! this is one of the best anime I've ever seen! I love it <3 |

Amazing movie Great Plot, nice comeback after S2 train wreck. The return of Kougami Shinya!!!! The action scenes!!!! THE ACTION SCENES!!!!!! Possible for S3 as Akane said in the ending of the movie..... I bet the story for S3 will be the downfall of sybil The ending song!!! I watched the entire credits just to hear the song again overall, this movie is: STROOOOONG!!! What's this?? Hollywood action movie?? i enjoy every second of it 10/10 |

wow what a great flick. seeing akane and kougami team up again was awesome. Also we saw how fucked up more the sybil system is. I mean we saw the collar system and that was just an awful idea. The we found out it was all a giant plan to take over the country and slowly the world as well. love the pace and action of the movie as well as i was never bord and the mercenaries were a nice addition we even got a big boobed one in a tight out fight lol. I really hope we get a season 3 and maybe see sybil finally taken down. I dont really hate season 2,but seemed like the only thing that carried over was the fact mika is in sybils pocket. |

This movie essentially restored my faith and liking in this franchise. Season 2 killed my interest and it took a lot of convincing over the last year to even bother with the movie. This was actually pretty good, more characters, but less development, but it's a movie and expecting more form a movie is a stupid thing to do. |

Why did they include the scene with the surviving friend getting married? That really could have been a thing all of its own, but it's only vaguely connected to the events of the film (sibyl does good shit bla bla SEA sucks dicks bla bla) I initially wondered why Sibyl agreed to granting the people the choice of its own democracy, but now I guess... I see what Akane was saying? They know that the new government would inevitably be corrupt so they're letting it kill itself again so the people want rather than reject sibyl. Well... that... works, i guess. I'm incredibly disappointed to see that the writers played murder behind the curtains and just declared everything but japan to be a shitstorm. Sibyl has no other civilization to judge but itself now, which really just makes for a boring setting. |

First thing I see, Urobuchi has written the script? Good, we can expect something. Alas, we couldn't see the Mika he would have written had he wrote S2's script. Oh well, I can already see improvements. "Kougami, you did it" Come on, he always does that. That engrish was annoying, I must say. I couldn't concentrate on what the speaker was trying to say at all. Ponytail looks really good on Gino, I am surprised. God did they seriously have to include some foreign language speaking people. I ended up laughing. Which language was that anyway, sounded like some Indian language. Tamil? Wow that made Sibyl system look almost good. Kougami is getting cooler and cooler wth. Also his engrish is sexy, that's rare DAT REUNION. I waited forever for it. (one day tbh but gah. who cares) I swear. Dat was cool as heck. Just kiss now. This got action-heavy fast and that's not my thing. Least favorite of all the genre = heavy action. At least the dialogue is good, thanks to Urobuchi. I can tolerate Urobuchi's Mika much more, she got attitude. Now that's how you write a character. 8/10 for this. When will we have S3... Hopefully Urobuchi will be writing it. And yay for Namae no nai Kaibutsu as the ED song. Good taste. |

No way Shimotsuki had brains to figure all that out by herself what she is explaining to Akane. What really stands out is the finger tapping and the close-up to it. I think it refers to Chief(Sybil) habit, she often did the same tapping in her office. So what to make of it? Maybe its meant to hint that Shimotsuki had that exact reaction from Chief when asking about the subject. Or maybe she picked up the habit when listening Sybil gospel. Or who knows, maybe shes cyborg with one of Sybil brains (since original Shimotsuki clearly could use upgrade) to get competent inspector on the field. |

I think it was too much from the same thing. Like, the plot was different, but it was all under that same formula "crime happens-> investigation->explosions->akame finds the bad guy->akame finds out that it was all planned by sibyl->end credits" And that engrish omgggg. The movie was subbed, even the parts in english. But i kept getting distracted by the amazing engrish and couldn't pay attention to the subs. |

paulojr_mam said: Why wasn't Akane able to judge president Han? Weren't asymptomatic people judge at the end of Psych-Pass 2? Nope, the entire Sibyl collective was able to be judged despite its individual members being asymptomatic. It wouldn't have made sense for Akane to try and judge president Han, since he was part of the sibyl collective (which had, ostensibly, purged itself of those who had raised its collective psycho pass above normal values). Also, she uses the Dominator to communicate directly with the Sibyl collective, since president Han doesn't seem to be connected with the collective at the moment - remember that individual minds of the collective were able to operate a cyborg body and act on their own. |

Nice use of Engrish to show that the setting was another country. I really like when Japanese voice actors try to speak English fluently and doing so helped differentiate people in SEAUn from Japanese citizens when the art style is all the same. The story is a huge relief after watching Psycho Pass season 2. To think the purpose of Akane's mission in SEAUn was not the main point, but merely another factor in Sybil System's huge plan in controlling the war-torn country is the plot twisting characteristic that I enjoyed in Psycho Pass season 1, but neglected in the second season. Also, Shimotsuki was fine in the movie until she had to explain Sybil System's overarching plan to Akane near the end of the movie in a haughty manner that slightly ruined the mood. If Ginoza was the person who explained to Akane, then I would have been fine with that. He had more concern with Akane's departure to SEAUn than Shimotsuki through the connection with Kougami. I am glad Shimotsuki had little screen time in the movie - another huge relief. To future readers, my rating is high (9/10) against the 7.85 overall score given that I watched Psycho Pass season 2 before the movie, so comparative bias is true. |

From what I can see, there are a lot complains on this movie I find it unfair. The characters are japanese, so people actually expected that they would be able to talk in English fluently? Of couse they couldn't The story isn't bad just because you can skip the movie if you want (the movie never sell itself as a important sequel, it selled itself as most movies out there, wich are basically spin-offs) or because Kougame choose to keep runnig away (that plot point was created on the first season, wich I belive no one complained about this back then). The story itself is extremely well written and interesting from start to finish. It's not better than the first season, but still a really damn great story. Fighting scenes were one of the best I've seen in anime. People really underestimate the animation of this movie. Soundtrack os also amazing. Honestly speaking, this movie is a masterpiece 9/10. |

Most of you guys are bashing Season 2 too much cut it out alright? Just because there was no kougami doesn't mean it's not good. Get a hold of yourself. Season 1 was an entry into the world so it went easy on you. Tbf I'd rate both 1 2 and the movie a perfect 9/10. I loved every bit of it. Even that annoying little shit of an inspector whatever her name is. |

This film, despite being a good product of Studio Production IG, is too clear in its intentions nevertheless, in the final part some surprise gives it, but who has already tested "masterpieces", like the films of G.I.T.S. directed by Mamoru Oshii, he will not be satisfied. First of all, if you have the desire to watch it, there is, not fundamental, the need first of all to have seen the TV series of this anime, because the history of the characters that alternate during the vision would be indigestible, because they are only sketched on the character level and appear little, both before and in the final part of the film, while all the others are nothing but expendable extras to understand the spectator. The plot, on the other hand, gives us ideas to think about is this, perhaps, is the best thing about this film; we can read to you Beethoven: "We must do all the good we can, love freedom above all things and never betray the truth." and D. Defoe: "All men would be tyrants if they could." 7/10 |

I am glad that I listened to everyone and skipped the second season. I had no idea who the girl was anyone else on the team except for the old members but that was totally fine. I have no idea how the second season worked without Kougami. I guess not well since so many want him back for season three. I for one always saw the relationship between Kou and Akane more like big brother and little sister so I was glad that he was back and I was even happier when Kou and Gino teamed up. So here is me also adding to the chorus: please bring Kougami back for season three. One thing that weirded me out a bit was the storyline. The tune had changed. While the first season was all about the freedom of speech, thought and movement of individuals this movie concentrated on a very different aspect of the Sybil System. It wasn't bad though. One thing I didn't like though is the character development of Kougami. What I loved is that he de facto an old school profiler and strategist and that side got completely lost. He is now simply fighting the system - there is a very good reason to do so but still. Not quite as interestiing as the storyline of season one. |

This movie feels like a true sequel to season 1 rather than season 2. Also, it seems that my knowledge about English improved because I could understand most of it without subs lmao. That caught me off guard. Still, the movie failed to completely recapture the magic of s1. But at least Kougami is back. 6/10 for the movie. |

I have to say, this amount of engrish was taxing. Overall, I'm not disappointed with the movie, people have to accept that anything past Season 1 is targeted to audience that liked the world of Psycho-Pass and want to get more of it. The story of Season 1 was self-contained. The only reasonable expectations of the sequels are those limited to new independent stories and worldbuilding. Going into them with feelings different from that is doomed from the start. So if I judge the movie with the standards I stated, it was a decent addition to the series. In terms of worldbuilding, we finally got to see what the world looks outside of Japan. In terms of the Sybil storyline, we got a slight progress, but nothing too big. Kougami could very well be written off the script and virtually nothing will change, although the nods to Season 1's story are appreciated. The most important part about his presence is that the writers made the important things clear to the diehard S1; namely Kougami is not important to the future instalments of this franchise, and more importantly, he is not planning to challenge and bring down the Sybil system. What's more he is not actively opposed to its existence, something I'd wager at least a few people got wrong in Season 1. He respects the system for the unquestionably positive things it brings to society, but he is not afraid to challenge it once it starts following the letter of the Law as opposed to the spirit of the Law. Where should I put this? While the worldbuilding and change of scenery was nice, the plot itself was virtually non-existent and there were no interesting characters introduced. I guess that I still appreciate the final touches given to Kougami before his send-off from the story. 7/10 sounds about right. |

Quite a fun movie thanks to the animation aesthetics, engaging camera angles, solid action choreography, great sound effects and the very interesting plot (initially). Some of the close-up shots and the general world development of the region were great as well, and the use of CGI much more pleasing. However, the pay-off in the end is pretty 'meh' to be frank, poor antagonist(s) who really didn't bring anything to the table by the end of the movie and Kougami's timely return is appreciable but he's clearly lost his charm from Season 1 so mixed reception in that aspect too. One unclear bit is regarding the ploy of "guiding" the guerrilla fighters into the heart of Japan. Kougami questioned this after denying the charge and Sibyl gave no hints of assisting in the cause whatsoever either, nor do they have any bloody reason to in the first place, so is this a third party here they were hinting at? I'm really hoping it is and they have/will expand it in the future project(s) but chances are it's probably just something that the team probably overlooked... Anyway, more of the badass Akane this Movie plus some fan-service. I'm honestly dumbfounded as to how she's still so surprised by Sibyl's underhanded moves though considering we've seen that happen in each installment of the franchise already. Keeping that aside, Akane's detective gut feeling prevailing there was a nice sight and of course the little tech bit highly intriguing too, much like most of tech of the franchise in the first place. Best moment of the episode for me is obviously the meeting between Kougame and Akane though! Japan showing its assertiveness during the pinch moment for the two was bloody cool, Hiro Kamiya's Character was getting a little ahead of myself there oopsie. Thanks to Akane's insistence, Sibyl decided to let the people decide (and not go for the previously designed tyrant rule I imagine) but the people couldn't resist the goods that Sibyl would bring to their society and honestly you really can't blame them. Not entirely sure what that after-credit scene was hinting at but I'll just take it as though he was mortally shocked by the results of the election rather than him being killed by a kid holding a gun for the first time in his life. I doubt we'll see more of him later anyway but please don't kill this guy over something as ridiculous as this. I'll settle with a positive 7.20/10 for the movie. |

i liked this movie! def better than s2, and like others have said it feels like a proper sequel to s1 in that it actually addresses burning questions about sybil. i'd like to see more of the world outside japan tbh sooooo happy to see kogami again ugh <3 also liked the plot, not sure why some people have an issue but i thought it was well-written. it was disturbing seeing sibyl essentially act as a colonial force, and then having those collars on people making them REALLY visibly at the bottom caste of society.. wow i really liked the animation too. the english was hard to listen to though (and why did they speak it if they were a SE Asian country, i never got that) so I'm going with 8/10 also i tried to refrain from hating on Mika in s2 but i can no longer hold back, MIKA IS STILL A B**** |

*live "tweeting" these comments* I feel like I've made a mistake by watching this. I forgot just how much I hate Akane. Literally everything about her. And lucky me, the first 40%+ of this movie is all about her... I thought this would be predominantly Kougami. So when Akane actually finds Kougami she decides to "play" guerilla instead? That doesn't sound like her stupid ass at all. She's a Sibyl puppet that accepts Sibyl and all of its lies. She ain't no justice fighter. Plus all these great philosophical quotes interlaced throughout. /s Well past hallway through this and I think I'm going to drop this. |

wow, this was better than i expected. perfect psycho pass movie. firs thing to notice - akane and kougami meeting, that was truly epic. secondly, i love how they made psycho pass much more military themed. some of the actions scenes were doubted, but some did fine. the variety of machine though made me feel as i watched code geass lol. the entire half hour of the movie was done well, i loved how ginoza punched kougami lol. the last twists of the movie including sybil system saying "we are going to control the world and no one will say otherwise" thingy? that was seriously felt random and forced, but never the less just added more flame to the fire. not the best twists ever, but that was done well enough to make it feel as akane and sybil weird relationship keep going lol. OST was great. to hear the ending of the 1st series was perfect choice. the animation was just great. some characters felt unnecessary as they felt in s2 lol. but unlike in s2 the movie was straight in "we really do not care about them" lol, so that's fine. added to all above i really loved how they just took the movie slowly and didn't rushed things, that let me feel as i watch long series in almost 2hrs movie. 8/10 |
