Finally an amazing episode, best episode of this series so far.

JJBA is the god of manga and anime, the first and the last, calling it "this series"...

Why did they even animate it?

Only chosen ones get to see and know about it...

I'm pretty sure pol's "Shock" at that time, like "Why tf you didn't "eat" him? why you beat him up like that? it's a dog, man!?" and after realized what vanilla's doing, then pol made a move

he takes what he's lost and discards what he's won, he's every bit as alive as you and I

He was in deep pain from his toes being cut off.
Was in shock that Ice didn't use his ability on Iggy and kill him instantly
Was also in shock that Ice lost his composure and was kicking Iggy violently

It might have looked liked like a long time to the viewers but it was probably only a 10 seconds of kicks.

The episode was really cool but... did they really have to animate his lips for non-stopping monologue of 20 minutes? It's an usual thing in anime but went too far.

This was the best episode I've seen in the entire JoJo series! I loved every single moment of it. And here I thought last week's intense episode couldn't be topped!

I honestly had goosebumps towards the end where Iggy tried to be a hero and then Polnareff dying, I definitely shed a tear there. If I had to compare an episode which I liked as much as this, it'd definitely be Hunter x Hunter's episode 131. This episode was THAT good for me.

That Iggy scene was just so... brutal.

And when Vanilla Ice came in like a wrecking ball towards Polnareff... ;_;

Oone of the better episodes of Jojo, a really enjoyable and gripping watch.

So if VI's fight is done that good , I can't imagine how will they do one of the most iconic fights of anime and manga.
Given the right situation , the right story , anyone can be shaped into Snake.

Very interesting episode of the whole season....definitely the most depressing so far.

However, a couple discrepancies I have in my mind:

Why did Cool Ice swallow sometimes and strike sometimes with his ball thingy? I know that he wanted his enemies to feel pain and such, but wouldn't swallowing be a lot quicker and efficient to get his job done?

Also, I thought Iggy was already dead since he got pawned not just once, but so many times in his ribs! How did he still survive after all that brutal kicks?

Also, the Cool Ice was stabbed in his brain stem, right? How the heck was he still moving like nothing just happened?

And now assuming Avdol and Pono are finished, with a half dead Iggy (to be finished off soon), how can the story keep going with only three left?

1) Yes, swallowing his enemies is a lot faster as you saw at the end of the last episode with Abdul. However, he didn't want to kill Iggy quickly, he wanted to make him suffer.

2) This is Jojo. During the Mariah fight, Abdul survived with an entire pickup truck sitting on his back for a good minute or two. I wouldn't question stuff like that :P

3)

4) You'll just have to wait and see next episode :P

One of the most brutal episodes in JOJO so far.

No flashy poses, color changes. A more dark tone, combined with the osts bruh!

Fucking Vanilla Ice just die,it was cruel watching him beat the shit out of Iggy and taking apart Polnareff.

I'm going to cry so hard by the end of this arc. This is still only the beginning...

Like others said, this is still the most brutal, violent fight in the series, and the worst is the tension. It reeks of dread and hopelessness.

Iggy is definitely the coolest though! Damn! I was cringing while he was being kicked D: Why u no send Chariot Polnareff?!?! I know ur tired and all but couldn't he have used the chance while Vanilla Ice was distracted?

That was so cringy. He fucking wait for days to try to protect Iggy and had inner monologues for a huge while before realizing he could still use his stand?...

It didn't help later that his right leg seemed fine enough for him to dodge the Vanilla Ice blind attacks too. I know and I kinda enjoy the way Jojo over-dramatizes things and this battle sure had a dire feel, as expected from getting closer to the final boss. And Jojo already killed people before at these later stages (like Caeser) so I can almost believe he really died.

But... I just couldn't buy that he was that much weak that he couldn't do anything in that situation (even cuz it felt like vanilla Ice wasn't going thaaaaat fast from what the open shot of the room was showing XD). I hope there's a twist on the works because right now it just feels they rushed out a conclusion to this fight. Well, maybe I'm the one rushing for conclusions here now, the next episode will tell. xP

He was critically injured, and in shock that Vanilla Ice decided to punch and kick and abuse Iggy instead of just swallowing him up. That's why it took him so long to get Chariot out. Plus, inner monologues happen instantly. Anything involving inner thoughts does not usually take as long as it does in animation. They just can't convey instantaneous thoughts in anime, so this happens lol.

Vanilla Ice actually travels quite fast. It looked like he was going slow at the end of the episode for dramatic effect.

The actual problem isn't that he should have been able to dodge at the end. It's that he shouldn't have been able to dodge the one before with his destroyed leg.

Made absolutely zero sense. Polnareff had plenty of time to attack Vanilla Ice from behind with Silver Chariot while he was taking his sweet time kicking Iggy, and it was not only stupid that he didn't attack, it was plain OOC. Neither of them should be in the states they were in, and no character should have died because of the writers' stupidity. What should have and could have been a fantastic fight with huge emotional weight is ruined.

The time it took Vanilla Ice to kick Iggy was only 3-5 seconds.

Polanareff was bleeding heavily, couldn't walk properly, and was in shock. He didn't have enough time to attack him.

Man Polnareff is like the worst character on this show. Instead of just getting up and saving Iggy he crawls and stops to have a inner monologue. And when he finally does attack he screams so Vanilla Ice can know it's coming. Everytime there's a Polnareff fight I just smdh. He's just beyond dumb. I hope they actually killed him off. But I know Avdol and him aren't dead this show doesn't have the balls to kill off main characters until the Dio fight.

Jojo time doesn't translate to actual time very well (you'll find out with DIO's battle). The scene your talking about was only meant to be a few panels of Polnareff being baffled by Ice's insane devotion.
