| My first post here and I'm already complaining yeeho =3= Well yeah, I was one of the naive kids who thought this would be a Kill la Kill+Gurren Lagann+stylized cocktail. I was so hyped for that I could slap myself right now for not looking on the lenght of each episode. Those PVs were pretty misleading. sigh Are the comics equally bad? I heard they were pretty popular in Japan (can't buy them in my country) personal note: never jump on anime hype trains again, i'm unnecessarily sad now ._. |

| Yup, definitely Inferno Cop with Ninjas and with proper voice actors this time, hihi. I don't know how they will keep this going for 26 episodes. Inferno Cop kinda worked because it was so short. Still, I'll keep watching this, it will make for a good, fun break between more serious shows. |

| Like I said in the Punch Line episode 1 thread: "Stop with the "so bad it's good". It's not a nanar if it's done on purpose. If it succeeds in what it's trying to do, it's good, period." Also, the marketing may have been misleading if you're not following all the news closely, but it was constantly teased as Inferno Cop 2.0. First of all, the trailer really isn't showing anything. It was mostly the same one frame repeated, and some animation that we actually got this episode (yes, there were actually animated bits that were really Trigger-like and pretty good, watch the whole episode). Not to mention the 4:3 aspect ratio, that should've been enough to give it away. We were constantly getting news about the director being Amamiya, the fact that it's an ONA with a future actual TV series in 2016 (which I'm sure will be what people here were expecting), and the episodes being 15 minutes long. The hints were there. You can get mad if the TV version airs and it's just Inferno Cop 3.0, but for now just enjoy this glorious ride. |
