| Loved the first half. Was great seeing Tsubaki finally trying to make Kousei notice her feelings. But then the second half came. Just when I thought that everything would be alright since the last couple of episodes were all happy and stuff, the Anime did a sucker punch. Goddammit. ;-; |

| Yeah, after this episode I'm really sad that I have to drop it down to 7/10. The past few episodes have been way too monologue-heavy and it really loses its impact after some time. The whole scene with Tsubaki was so cringy and felt like some lame middle school love triangle shit that's so overdone and shit. Repeating the same things over and over. It's like telling, not showing. What happened to this show it was amazing in some episodes like when we could see the pianist's feelings when they played. It used metaphors and symbolic imagery to convey to story and emotions. Really hope the last 2 episodes can make up for it. Though I did like the scene when Kaori and Kousei were talking on the phone. It was nicely animated as well. And the last scene too. Kaori died right? If they hadn't overused monologues that would have been a great time to have something like Kousei speaking in the background as you see him running... the scene definitely could have had a lot more impact done differently I think. |

| Tsubaki certainly has an odd way to display her affection. Still, it was rather touching. A bit less though, than Kaori's situation, in a completely different way. |

| The feelings of Tsubaki for Kousei, and his feelings for Kaori-san... Sad seeing Kaori-san taking an attack because of her illness, and that neko-chan was murder by one guy which were looking at the road while he/she was driving. (That guy is a horrible piece of shit!) X( |

| Normally, I automatically root for the main heroine but for this anime I kinda like Tsubaki more. I dont really feel any connection with Kaori, actually I dont feel any connection with most of the characters. |

| Personally I don't find Tsubaki particularly interesting, but I do find that many viewers are being unfair to her. Everyone is expecting her to handle her feelings and confessions like a mature woman, but she's a goddamn 14 year old girl who's never been in love before. She's so used to being close to Kousei, but suddenly both music and Kaori are taking him away from her, after so many years, and just by the time she even understood how important he was. Yes, her actions might be selfish, but that's actually a pretty normal reaction considering her circumstances and (lack of) experience. Besides, she realizes this selfishness, she sincerely felt bad for hurting that senpai she used to date, and no, she's not aware of how bad Kaori's state is. If everyone is so obsessed with her "selfish confession" though, remember that Watari shamelessly dates tons of girls, and Kaori has been extremely rude and pushy towards the boy she is supposed to be in love with and, well... towards a traumatized person. A person in Kousei's situation would actually suffer much more if some sudden girl constantly pushed him to face a traumatic experience again and again (shoving his mom's favorite composition in his face was a particularly cruel step). And well, speaking of Kousei - yeah, it's so selfless to skip visits to a terminally ill (and beloved) girl because he's so jelly of his friend. If you wanna judge, be fair. |

You also forgot the fact that all these years Tsubaki has been carrying herself like a dude/Gorilla. So considering how she's reacting to her feelings and the fact that she only realized her feelings for Kousei in the past few months of this show, I find her reactions to be quite reasonable as well. Remember guys, she has no concept of acting like a girl... That said, I had to read the last 5 chapters of this manga 10+ times to desensitize myself from the feels, and yet the soundtrack and this animation gets me every single time. I am so not looking forward to the waterworks this show is going to induce in the last two episodes.... |

I bet that cat following around everywhere was Chelsea, trying to be all like "hey bud, remember me?" and yet he paid the cat no mind at all. Then it died. | Is there even a reason for Watari to be in this? You can take him out and you could still use the low self-esteem reason for Kousei avoiding his feelings for Kaori. |

| I personally think that this anime/manga shouldn't be so focused on the theme of "love". Right now, and that was what I expected from this anime, was Kousei to become a good pianist, like he was when he was a kid. This love thing has taken over almost 10 episodes of the anime, and it's becoming seriously annoying. What's more, it's way too cliché, the childhood friend and the pianist girl's choice, I mean, they could have made it, turn it in another way. Thing is, we've been waiting for Kaori to pass away (because, I think she will) for way too long, it's been dragging out for way too long. At least, after that, maybe they'll focus on this performance as a pianist. Oh wait... only 2 episodes left so nevermind that. |
| Goddamn this episode really had me wanting to slap some sense into that self-centered head of Tsubaki's, all this girl's ever known is unrequited love and she has the guts to talk shit about Arima and belittle everything he's been through just because he won't see her as a woman? Jesus, this girl is like the archetype of self-absorbeness, gets on my nerves big deal. This episode really confronted the two main girls' opposite personalities, with Kaori being all about selflessness and wanting Arima to achieve his dream even if it ultimately leads to him leaving her behind. Can't say that much for Tsubaki, sadly. Even if Kaori is doomed to a heartwrenching death I really hope Arima ditches the childhood friend. |

There are only four chapters left to adapt ( 41 - 42 - 43- 44 ) so it should go like this : Episode 21 : chapters 41 and 42 Episode 22 : Chapters 43 and 44, which is the final chapter. |

| I get that they're getting close to the ending and have to squeeze in these last chapters, but I wish we could have seen Arima play during the qualifiers. That being said, too many feels for one episode. |
| Now that I look at the ending, it clearly suggests that Kaori was going to die. The whole part of it transitioning to the sky and her body floating through it is too obvious. |
