Welp, well this show is over today. I won't be missing it much.

David and Touko spend more time together in the finale. Heh, I guess it was part of fate after all. So yeah, the finale focused a lot of them. Welp, a meteor shower spotted. Someone should make a proposal.

I kinda like that theme song played near the end though. And those eyes...

Image song "Lucent Eyes (ルーセントアイズ)" by ChouCho is the song.

The ending was so subtle that it looks like nothing at all.

I don't know why everyone hating this show so much. For me it is one of the best productions of this season (along with Barakamon, Zankyou no Terror, and Gekkan Shoujo)

Kakeru is a coward.. But...
8/10 for me. I liked it very much. I'm hoping for more show like this.

PS @UP, how it is possible, that you have 7 titles in TOP ??!!

This final episode was just like the whole series, a whole lot of nothing. This series had a pretty good first episode but slowly fell off and withered to nothingness. Bland and boring describes this series and its characters. 1/10

Can't wait to watch it.

Edit: Holy shit, this was bad. I started with score 6 or even 7 for it, but it gradually decreased to a 3/10.

Glad it's over.

The poll results though. More interesting than the actual series. xD

Probably the worst finale ever or at least in a long time even for a romance/drama from what I've been reading.

Good thing I dropped on episode 8 I saved time since I had too many shows to watch on Thursdays.

Gave it a 4/10

No plot twist? It would have needed a plot to begin with for that, lol

But yeah.... this series. I wasn't expecting anything from it, but it somehow manged to to fail to reach even those expectations..... that's sad.

Being different doesn't mean being good, in this case especially.

The characters weren't exactly complete archetypes, but they didn't show any interesting traits in return.

I'm very happy that this is over now. The only thing that was good about it was the art and some pieces of the OST. The only reason I didn't drop it earlier was because I was curious how this was going to end. Wasted my time until the end.

3/10.

well ...... this series was just OK ...i really don't like the ending that much i assume he stayed . but his tent is gone ...so he is there but not ???? wth I don't think there would be much hate for this show if they were just straight foward about and not trying to "spice it up" like just go with a straight forward ending since you have been hazy story teller at best............ Jesus

7/10 the 7 being for artwork and lovely music

i enjoyed this series. the ending was beautiful. the moments between touko and kakeru really did pulled my heart string. this is my understanding; so, kakeru decided to follow his mother, but no matter apart they are, they can still see and hear each other. kakeru wont be alone anymore. it's a bit heart-rending but their relationship is honest.

8/10 for me ^_^

Well they basically didn't actually resolve or explain anything. All of the characters were awful with the exception of maybe Hiro and Hina. What a complete waste of time, only gave it a 3/10 because the music was good.

This is definitely happy ending, all couples are set and no one get hurt. Though it was not satisfied, lack of sweet scenes from Yuki x Yanagi and Hiro x Sachi.
Finale focus too much on fated couple with their hallucination talk, yet still no confession or whatever. Question about Kakeru : since they're fated - he will surely find Touko again or he did stay in this town to be with her.
... Unless he find another fated girl in another town, like what he said wherever he goes people got mixed up in his problem. <-- How !? He's so socially awkward so it must be "girl problem" - girls like Touko goes "kyaa he's so cool" then men in group get jealous --> fight.

I've watched up to ep.4 and dropped it, then watched ep.5 because my friend kept telling me the anime is really good, but I dropped it again. Is it worth watching until the end? I know this is a ep.13 discussion, but the anime seems too boring for anything to be spoiled.

The phrase describing this anime the best is "what the fuck".....i said this way too many times past those 13 weeks while watching it.....
Such an waste of time and money (of the animation studio,i mean). I don't care about the characters so much that i don't even feel bothered about the lack of any proper explanation, hah.
Well,at least the animation and music were quite lovely though.

rather than rail wars and sword art online 2, not to mention sengoku basara judge end which is the worst anime , this is much much better than that, especially the music, though the ending is kinda absurd, Kakeru's leaving or not ? That's kinda confussing. rating 8.5/10

Such a disappointment. Nothing was resolved till the end. The only obvious pairing is Hiro x Sachi. I'm not sure about Yukinari and Yanagi. Are they dating? And why did Yanagi left for school without him near the end?

What happened to Kakeru? Did he leave with his mother?

I have to say, none of the relationships got me hooked especially Kakeru x Tohko and Yukinari x Yanagi.

Maybe there will be an OVA or a movie to give a proper conclusion?

So this shit ended that way huh? They don't even mind to explain that "Fragments of Future" but they give it more confusion in the ending.

The ending was really bad. They ended it with Summer Break end. And they didn't even told if Kakeru really leaves the town. But as they hinted that his tent was been removed so It means he really gone with his Mom. And that Touko just heard the "fragments of future" Kakeru calling her.

With that said I'll give this 5 or 6. But since I wasn't satisfied in the ending I'll rate this 5 over all. If this got an OVA or 2nd Season (Please Hell No!!!) maybe I'll rate it 6.

Never hated so much a series like this before... It is finally over, at least...

Mostly high production values, but the story and most of the characters were just awful, making the whole thing just painful to watch. Tried to give it the benefit of the doubt up until the end, but it really did not deliver for me at all.

Seems like from now on I am going to need to lower my expectations towards PA Works productions a bit (I did not like Red Data Girl either, but I also did not hate it like this). You cannot win every time after all… :-(

So in the end the only clear resolution that is shown is Hiro and Sachi, who are definitely shown as a couple (I'm not going to count Hiro's sister and her off-screen boyfriend). It's strongly hinted that Yuki and Yanagi are together, based on the reaction of the swim club as they run past and Hina's knowing smile--but it's not shown. As for Kakeru, the patch on the lawn where his tent used to stand suggests that he is off on tour with his mother although it is implied that he'll be back to watch the winter fireworks with Touko. I can tolerate ambiguous endings, but even for me there was just too much left hanging to be totally satisfied. It was pretty, the OST was marvelous, and if you worked really hard at it the ideas behind it were pretty engaging--but I wanted more closure damn it. (Later Edit: I didn't want to have to spend an hour going over it in my head to finally process and understand it--is probably what I meant.)

I think one of the keys to this episode were the conversations between Touko's parents, and also between Touko and her mother. We have the exchange about how her father proposed during the meteor shower, and soon after we're shown all three couples watching the meteor shower in separate locations. Touko's mother also talks about the "fragments of the future" and acknowledges that Touko is an adult (as does Kakeru's father to him in another conversation). The way her family left Touko in the care of Kakeru's also looked pretty much like a symbolic acknowledgement of their relationship ("Please take care of our daughter..." although not directly said was pretty much implied).

Back in the first episode we were given the foreshadowing that this would be the last summer that the original five friends would be together. That was true, as by the end of the summer things have changed forever--Hiro and Sachi go back to school as a couple, Yuki goes back alone as Yanagi rides the train to her modeling career, and Touko too is alone with her thoughts of Kakeru--the stranger who played a pivotal role in disrupting the comfortable world of childhood and moving them forward into adult relationships. This really was a slice of life, not in the sense we usually think of--cute girls doing cute things in a meaningless club after school--but in the sense of showing fragments of an important transition between two stages of their lives. It wasn't an easy show and it required a lot more effort than we normally have to expend to understand, but I think it was rewarding in the end.

I am amazed that I made it to the end. I don't know why I didn't drop it either. That being said I still regret ever picking this up. Actually PA's last 2 shows now makes me think twice picking up their series. They really need to redeem themselves after flopping twice in a row. Hopefully Shirobako will save their asses, but I doubt it. My expectations for the studio is extremely low now as of now. They need to fire people and get better staff after this dreadful show.

2/10 I'm glad it's over.

This series excited me initially, the potential was all there but nope. It destroyed them all.

I like Touka and Hiiro, Yukinari and Yanagi were ok. Sachi and Kakeru just annoyed, especially with how bland of a character Kakeru was.

That didnt even feel like a final episode.

Being generous I give it 5/10.

geez i loved the concept of this anime, but the execution is really bad, it's a mistake to expect something for it. eventhough the story is great (at least for me) but how the staff make it into an anime is kinda bad, poor -_-

Doubtful.
Even if effort is put into understanding this it still doesn't excuse the poor dialogue/characters, dragging atmosphere, and more things of that sort that Glasslip was riddled with.
