Predictions on how it's going to sell are pretty bad, so yeah. If it's not that profitable I really doubt that they will make another season.

...So why are we letting japanese scenerize. Seriously.
And what's with the blondie. It was such a cliche.
At least we got a few battle scenes. That was okay.
And gosh Mui is so interesting. WHERE WAS SHE ? Oh right.
With the Childhood in love Friend.
Gross.

With an ending like that, I expect a second season where Kurumi transforms into Hulk Hogan and beats the ever-loving crap out of Gekkou and the people who directed the first season.

I laughed at this way more than I should have. Just the thought of her no-selling everything.

I'm not sure why so many people are saying the show was terrible, or that it won't sell or get another season. But, I'm not saying this was a great show either. It wasn't, it really, really wasn't.

The plot was, indeed, full of cliche and overused formulas. That is a given, and cannot be helped really. It was rushed in a lot of places with the whole narration thing, making the entire series feel more like a prologue to something bigger. But, it was not terrible, nor was it deserving of all the hate it's getting. It's only natural that not everyone will enjoy this series, especially those who've read the manga or suffer from the delusions that every new series that is put out HAS to be completely original with a story written as well as the best novels/screenplays in the history of the world. And, most of the people reading this comment will probably not even know what I just said, and instead will try to take it at face value and miss out on the actual truth of my statement. Moving on.

Takeshi really is the biggest idiot of all time. I've seen some idiot characters over the years, but how stupid can one kid be? But, it's part of what made his character. He's naive, immature, innocent, and a victim of some of the absolute worst parenting in the history of bad parenting.

Gekkou. Where to begin with this piece of trash? He's probably the most self-centered and ego-maniacal character I've seen in recent years, tho I could be wrong and just not thinking clearly because of how much he annoyed the hell out of me. Does anything else really need to be said here?

The rest of the characters didn't get development at all, really. Mui was adorable, and provided great fanservice, and could have been a great female lead if this show wasn't obsessed with the most useless female character of all time(Kurumi). Mui's brother, he was pretty much only around when they needed an enemy or someone to save them. Ida had potential to be a great character, but was sadly left in the background until they needed his magic for some petty thing that was obviously there just to give him a reason to show up on screen.

Back to the story. We were given, in the beginning, the groundwork for a good story(no matter how many times it's been told before). But, it never went anywhere. It escalated, but never went anywhere. It twisted and turned, but never went anywhere. Which is why I said up top that this seemed more like a prologue. However, despite it not going anywhere and being rushed in some places, it was still interesting and entertaining to watch. You just have to shut your brain off and stop trying to convince yourself you have no expectations when you really have unreasonable expectations.

The Ending. Oh, that McBullshit. Once again, I say, this seemed more like a prologue. That ending was not a cliffhanger, it was a kick in the balls. Obviously a cheap ploy to build interest for another season, or at least an OVA. If they wanted to do a proper cliffhanger, however, they could have ended it without showing what happened to Takeshi. Show the hit from Director Loli, the explosion and crater, show Mui at the crater with the totally useless one that should have died(Kurumi), and end it there. THAT would have been a proper cliffhanger, instead they start a whole new story and end it there.

All in all, I liked this series despite its flaws. There were many. But, it was entertaining and interesting. The ending, and Kurumi, will shave some points off my total and bring it down to a 6/10

Thanks mister! I agree with you in EVERY SINGLE aspect. Personally I enjoyed the series, because it is simply entertaining. I hope that this sudden ending of a completely new arc means, that the studio is gonna air a 2nd season for sure, because if this show got a 2nd season I'm pretty sure alot people gonna enjoy it.

Why would people "enjoy it" when they hated the fuck out of S1 and it's full of cliche shit?

That's exactly what I'm talking about though, it's just predictions. A lot of people that didn't see it as it aired will marathon it now that it's over, and as I've seen happen before it could easily turn around the sells when dvd/bd come out. I'm not saying it will, I'm not saying it won't. I'm just saying that those say there's not going to be a second season because it's not going to sell are bias, following predictions that back their own personal feelings towards this series. They could end up being right, I don't know, but they could just as easily be wrong.

I'm not sure why I'm taking the time to respond to you, you're obviously part of the demographic I was referring to in my original post. But, still, I'll say this much. Yeah, apparently a lot of people hated this series, and those people wouldn't watch a second season IF it were to happen. Unlikely as that is. But, if you look past your own unreasonable bias against "cliche shit" you'd see there are people who were entertained by this series and would like to know what's happening because of that BS ending.

On a side note: The "cliche shit" you're referring to? Yeah, that's in everything these days. EVERYTHING. If you don't like "cliche shit", stop watching anime or just stop watching television, movies, cartoons, and anime altogether. Cliche's are everywhere. Everything has been done already, the only thing original about anything being done today is the execution of it. This series lacked in the originality of execution, as I've already said it was full of flaws, but those flaws did not make it any less entertaining.

Last, but not least. @Raiyden: You're welcome. I actually posted in another thread about the idea of a second season, as unlikely as that seems to be at this point. Considering my thoughts that this series seems more like a prologue to something bigger, I theorized two possibilities. One, is that they intended a second season from the very start. Two, which expands on that first one, is that they actually created this as a 2-cour but are airing it as two 1-cour series. I theorize this second one simply because of how much that BS ending gives credit to my thoughts that this series seemed more like a prologue than a stand-alone series.
Odds are I'm not going to find my way back to a thread after my first post, it happens on occasion but not often. So, if I say something that offends you and you feel the need to force your opinion on me because obviously everyone should have your opinion or none at all, feel free to post it in the thread that I'll probably never see again. However, if you are interested in intelligent discourse, feel free to message me.

im pretty sure thats kazuma body but takishi heart(like the conversation of V and kazuma) i think somewhere in the past kazuma gekko and takishi become friends but gekko have some hidden agenda about kazuma thus the batlle to the death with takishi. when everything is done where gekko died and takishi on his last he offer the picture and said they where in the future, knowing this and kazuma knows how to loss everything specially his family because of the suburu academy(there background). he give his body in oder to meet his friends again but in return takishi must promise to abolish the suburu and creat a new world,
and..... :> it so freaking obvious

i will come back and w8 for the last volume of magical warfare if this clean all the hole in the story

and also V is not kurumi she is(.....) ;>.

that was an absolutely horrible last episode.

this could have been better with just a cliche ending just like the rest of the show, instead we get some terrible time skip with unanswered questions. the only way i can see this being rectified is a season 2, but there's such a small chance that this will get one because this season was seriously shit.

5/10 and that's probably generous.

Well that was certainly a memorable final episode. I personally enjoyed the Gekkou Takeshi fight as two brothers going at it to potentially resolve conflicts and trying to get some aligned interests is never unwelcome. I like the bonds aspect and how their brotherly love transcends time.

Unfortunately that kind of hurt the episode in a huge way especially considering its the final episode. Going back in time made no sense for something occuring at the 20 minute mark and just gave no one any idea what was going on. I guess Light Novel readers would know and that it was a rather cheap tactic to use to get us to go out and read it just to know what happens next, but for an anime and storytelling its like the writer just phoned in it.

6/10. The beginning of the anime started off with promise, the animation and magic effects was pretty low key for the most part and disappointing which is odd for Madhouse (even looking at the No Game No Life PV which looks much better and more refined), and the soundtrack was unmemorable. Had Gekkou not entered into the plot in the last five or so it would have been a rather bad series. Certainly nothing I will buy but it did get me to want to see the LN, and the final fight was actually good.

Damn, this last episode left so many questions there better be a second season to explain it all or hopefully the light novels will be translated. Why did kazuma have takashi's picture of isoshima and why did he call takashi's mom mother. I'm thinking after the he fell asleep after the first war, takashi woke up as kazuma.

I'm so confused...so Kazuma called Takashi's mom, mother? WTF? but his parents died when Wizard Brace was forcing him to join but he declined and formed the Ghost Trailers...WTF.

This has to be the worse anime ending I have ever seen and hopefully ever will. It stayed true to it's complete utter non-usage of any pace. The entire series was a sprint. One of the worse care for a main cast that I hope I ever experience.

It's not even worth going any further, 2.4 or 2/10. ohhh myyy lord.

i only keept watching this anime because of glimpses of something great and it did deliver in the later episodes when the fucking standard school routine stopped. Yea the production value was not amazing but i can live with that, its just bad writing i cant live with. like the fight at the end where the mc snaps from ultra rage mode to gullible idiot mode in a matter of seconds. This trainwreck of an anime could probably have been saved if one would cut out all the empty filler shit and just have plot relevant episodes because then they wouldn't hav had to end right in the middle of the story

First of all, where is the connection between episode 11 and 12? Or there is an episode 11,5 and i have missed it?
Second, was this an ending? If it was it must have been the most open ending i have ever seen, it didn't ended nothing, it just left more and more questions to answer.. the story was good, but they jump from one episode to another without making any connection, that's terrible.. but , anyway, i enjoyed the anime, BUT it must have a second season , i want to know what the f*ck just happened in this episode, otherwise, it will ruin it all.

Whoa, it didn't even bother to do a wrap up or alternative ending... they shouldn't have went with this unless they have a second season. But if they had planned for a Season 2, the anime shouldn't have been rushed so much.

Also, he was in the castle of the Trailers to save Kurumi, but then he is in front of his house already. -_- Next, Kurumi being on the side of Wizard Brace already and we have the confrontation. O_o Just how rushed can this anime be? Skipping time/stuff forward that the audience need to assume they happened with reason.

My goodness, it is good that it shed some light why Gekkou is hated, and this just left more questions, especially what is gonna happen to the world now, Kazuma is the brother of Gekkou and Takeshi.

Sigh. Hopefully, the next light novels being adapted alongside MahoSen won't be so butchered like this on the next seasons.

Oh, Mahou Sensou became the one of the greatest anime in the history in a bad sense.

The start of the final episode was not linked the previous one. Same as usual, the characters that I can't sympathize with made a noise. Without recovering the foreshadowing, a question of extra-large class has been added. And the story has ended abruptly.

It was as I expected.

In the other huge internet forum, they taught me that this work is a great joke. In that way, I enjoyed overall.
