I was a bit worried for him when the village ostracized him but happy end was great.
Ginko the match maker! He know how to make the dream real, he kept persisting even though his waifu wasn't there. We should do that too, persist to pretend your waifu is there and then she becomes real eventually.

Such a beautiful episode!
When the girl asks him if he is helping her, Ginko says he's just doing what he wants.. :D

Also, Ginko playing matchmaker! XD

But it's not just about romance.. This episode was also about believing in the people you care about.. :)

She's a nice girl but she seemed rather slow lol. Reminded me of the painter's nephew from the previous episode. Nice to see that she was able to become visible again.

The girl this episode had such a cute voice, I just hnnng

And I am loving Ginko's expressions as always.

Yay for Seijiro x Fuki! Probably my favorite ship from this season so far. It made teary-eyed.

Probably the happiest episode so far. Their love didn't lose.

This is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful episodes of Mushishi. A girl trapped between the earth and the sky and how her existence depends on the way she is perceived and treated.
I especially enjoyed the star allusion and how her own relationship with her future husband is explained through stars. It is quite sad to witness her misery regarding the feeling of not being wanted or understood. But her future husband's actions later on are so heartwarming and a great way to deal with the problem.

Great message that comes from the vision of this episode: if something must come true, it must first be the person who wants to be convinced to the end. Nice the protagonist Fuki, very simple but also so touching the narration.

Most Mushi might be a handful but if you learn how to coexist with them, you'll always end up learning a lesson you never thought you would.

No matter how much people will call you crazy, if you just continue believing that the person you love is there with you even if you can't feel them directly, the payoff will only be much sweeter. Really happy she came back.

Decent episode. I was especially happy to see her presence return to Seijirou as well as all of the villagers. Though I wish there was some sort of explanation as to why the villagers, who initially thought of Seijirou as psychotic for interacting with his invisible wife, were able to see her in the end. Ginko gave Seijirou advice, and that advice had to do with Seijirou believing his soon-to-be wife was by his side. On the contrary, the villagers thought nothing of the sort, hence the ostracism of Seijirou for a period of time.

That unexplained factor aside, I liked it.

Here is another one of an episode that is more dear to me than the others, because even in it the female figure, in some ways, gives the sign of how important and preponderant they are in making the narrative and atmosphere, full of charm and charged with meaning. There is also a reminder of the message said in the past: to persevere is what makes the impossible possible. Ah! How touching was the ending of this episode. This anime is one of the best ever, for me.

One problem I find with this show's worldbuilding is why aren't Mushi well known everywhere? I understand that most people can't see them, but there are more wandering Mushi-shi than just Ginko, and some villages even rely on Mushi or Mushi-shi for their daily lives. So why is it that some villages have never even heard of the concept of Mushi before? It's not like they are incredibly remote, since Ginko can travel to them as he pleases. It doesn't make sense that these creatures are pervasive in their world and yet large sections of the population are still oblivious to them.

Wow when it revealed that Fuki was up in the house in the background it was crazy! I loved that twist. And an episode with a truly happy ending. Really enjoyed everything about this episode. Really interesting relation between Fuki disappearing, but still being there and how the stars were disappearing during the day but still there.

Felt like a classic Mushishi episode. 5/5.

I was going to be so sad if she ended up dying, their relationship was just so heartwarming. I also got goosebumps at the end, the dedication that man had was great. I know it’s fiction but I hope their relationship prospers.

This story certainly carries a strong message, Both Fuki and Seijirou needed to learn to accept themselves for who they were, without yielding to the expectation/judgement of their respective communities.

This plays heavily into how a community's c culture and traditions can lead to active forms of discrimination. I respect his tenacity to break perpetuating cycles to life a fulfilled life despite the challenges he faced.

Additionally, I was surprised when Ginko called out Seijirou for mediocre efforts by pointing out that Fuki hadn't left, but was still in his house albeit just invisible.

I rarely participate myself in discussions...I almost reserve myself only to read the discussions. But Man! What an episode this was, It was purely enchanting. The allegory and the message they have tried to convey through this episode was very thought provoking, amazing and brilliant. This is my top favorite episode now among others. I am eagerly excited to look onto next one.

When the husband started talking to his imaginary wife I felt so sad.. I thought she had completely disappeared and would never come back.. I was so relieved to see his wife back and that they were finally living a happy life together.

So his wife is like a star in the day, invisible, but still there. But now the husband has his own star by his side, which he can see both day and night.

Nice episode and sweet ending.

I like the stars metaphor used in this episode. To recognize and appreciate things, even if they can't be seen or heard, is a nice sentiment. After all, like the stars, they'll still be in the sky even if you can't see them.

This one episode hit me in my heart. I almost cried at the end seeing how Seijirou blidnly trusted Ginko's words, remained positive and kept acting as if she was there even though he couldn't see her, caring for her until she would have become human again.
I deeply empathize with this episode cause it reminds me of what I wish I'd have done with my distanced relationship.

This series really is the embodiment of "don't touch shit that you don't know about".
