| That was both an emotional yet fun episode. Kumin, Nibutani and Dekomori looked HOT in swimsuits. However, Rikka looks the best and her swimsuit looked the best too! It was sad to know that the only support she has was her sister and grandmother. Her grandfather is too strict and pretended as if she was a disgrace. Her mother abandoned her and put her in the care of her grandparents. Her father also died from a disease. I'm guessing the Ethereal Horizon was her first home... It's sad to see Rikka so depressed after going back home. The look on her face when she saw the land being sold was a spear to the heart. The romance in this episode was an increase from last weeks. Rikka jumping into Yuuta's arms, riding the bike at night.... Man, the springtime of youth. Great episode and great anime. This is probably the best in the year so far. (Here comes the SAO fanboys/fangirls!) |

| Great episode, now we know the reason behind Rikka's behavior, unfortunately it's a sad one. I hope she'll be able to get over her father's dead in the next episode. I guess Touka had it really hard too. She had to deal with her own sad emotions and with her sister delusional personality. I loved the scene where she was a little embaressed when Shinka said she would've loved to be Rikka for Touka's food ^-^ The priestess is showing some weaknesses =D Despite Rikka's sad behavior in this ep, I still had some great laughs in this ep. Sanae vs Shinka is always awesome to see and Kumin is just awesome. |

| lol I find it funny that most of the comments here are fawning over the swimsuit of Kumin lol wth. Anyways, there's still much hate on Shinka's character until now. I guess that's because of her bitchy cutesy attitude but i still like her nonetheles Looks like Dekemori and Shinka got along well with each other in this episode. well, that's surprising. i hope it goes for the better. Fantastic Episode. Comedy filled and mixed with a good amount of drama. 5/5 Looks like am the only Nibutani Shinka fan here. That's sad. Kumin < Shinka 'nuff said :D Btw, I wanna see Shinka falling in love over Yuuta in the next episodes. I love it when there are 2 girls giving in for a guy in a series. I don't wanna see Main x Main most of the time 'cause it's overly used nowadays. |

| Quite a sudden change of pace as the show had solidly established itself as a top-notch comedy which people can easily relate to. Unfortunately, I didn't 'feel' very much from this episode. There was a lack of foreshadowing to the change of pace which left insufficient time to adjust expectations. I also have a gut feeling I've watched too much anime and death-related sad plot devices (we just had it in LB!) to relate myself to the character in this situation. This episode shows that although Shinka is a bitch, she does genuinely care about others including those she clearly dislikes. Not a true bitch like I consider Dekomori to be who really only cares about herself. It's probably more to due with a huge maturity gap between those two. Shinka is in a transitional stage while Dekomori is still 120% chuu2. |

No, it's not. don't worry lol based on my observation, there have been a lot of hates on Shinka after the start of the show and even until now. (you should look onto this show's previous discussion threads and you'll understand what i mean) Anyways, It's really indeed a shame that she's only a supporting character. that sucks. She's even on par with Rikka in terms of all the aspects despite of her rude and unruly attitude. I find them both likable. That's why i would like this series to implant some Yuuta x Shinka scenes on it's future ones. That would gladly make this show seem more unqiue and interesting in a way. I really don't like the generic Main over Main relationship 'cause they receive the glory in the end as usual. It's just the typical shit that's always seen on all series these days and even before this year. |

I've already read quite a lot into the reasons why Shinka is generally disliked. I actually see the Main x Main a refreshing change to the harems which I've seen quite a bit. OniiAi, Kono Naka ni Onii-chan, SAO, even Bleach... Heck, even Haruhi had 2 girls liking Kyon. Which suddenly reminds me...Hyouka, despite its flaws was excellent at portraying the slow growth of feelings between the mains. Being so recent, it's definitely detracting me from enjoying Yuuta x Rikka to its fullest. |

| Neither Rikka nor Shinka are annoying. I admit, when she first turned her bitch-mode on, she was. But now she interacts nicely with Sanae, and they are both really fun. Actually, the Shinka/Sanae pair is much better than the two of them on their own. |

| I didn't like this episode that much, but the dog was what made it enjoyable. This drama doesn't fit this show at all imo and I didn't really care. I consider this to be the oblivious fan service episode, I guess the next episode will be better. |

| Strong episode especially the end and it explained a lot about Rikka's family situation and why she is living with her sister. This episode also showed that Tooka cares much for her little sister and why she took her in. However this also gave the impression that Rikka is trying to escape reality because of her sorrow and that this caused her chuunibyou which means if she can overcome her sorrow and face reality her chuunibyou can be cured. A other point which caused some questions is Rikka's and Tooka's mother i can understand that she left them with there grandparents raising two kids as a single parent is hard after all however it seems like she has broken contact with them as well, which is something i find hard to understand after all they are her kids. Nibutani was very polite against Rikka's grandparents and Tooka on the other hand Dekamori and Isshiki need to learn some manners since Isshiki was surprised at Nibutani's behaviour. Seeing Tooka embarrassed after Nibutani told her that the lunch boxes she made where the talk of the class was nice. And Dekamori's reaction when Tooka's was angry because she was complaining about the cheese was funny as well, never complain about a cook's food it's a insult to them. And that dog was priceless. |

| I guess I'm in the minority here since the dramatic focus in this episode was kind of disappointing. Fleshing out the characters and making the audience empathize with Rikka is a great idea, but going serious mode to achieve that feels a bit odd. The show stood out for the comedy and character interaction, not so much the dramatic stuff. |

| Really really weak episode. It's obvious there will be some story but the story is a lot weaker than I expected :/ Some comedy and Dekomori is as awesome as always but a total different level in quality compared to the earlier episodes. I like drama but this is really badly done. :/ |

It could have been weaker, it could have been because of her cat is dead or something. (which is rather lame.) Making the death of her father as the cause is decent actually. Though I don't dwell much on the cause, but rather at the result. (Besides, the lack of a father figures in this anime is obvious. Whose father are gonna let his daughther acting like that? Rather than just stated that her father died, why not make use of it as a plot device?) lol That aside, in the scene where she arrived at her old house, I thought she will see a happy lovely family is currently living inside it. (Which is very cliche) And then she proceed to drive them away from her house with her umbrella. But, that "For Sale" signboard is totally unexpected. My face at that time --> :O So that part was great for me. :D Also, "Banishment... This world!" has a deep meaning now. For me, I interpreted it as she wanted the world and everything in it to vanish. |

Individually they are great, but I'm not fond of their way to mix comedy and heavy tunes all around the places. They weight some comedic moments with unfitting heaviness (ex. gloomy Rikka everywhere, they could try to direct them in a better way), but they also make some people to accept the dramatic moments seriously by putting some inappropriate things (like 18:24, why they ruin a good buildup with inappropriate flashy effects there?) Once again, they made a good events separately, but they can made a better (general) direction of events. It's still a good episode, but for KyoAni standard, they could do it better. 4/5 |
