| GAT DAM AMAZIN. I thought the new animation was fine...? Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention but I definitely liked the way Satarou looked. Kid manned the fuck up (in many, many ways). Strange that they changed the animation for only one episode, but hey, I'm not complaining, both styles are great. The almost-sex scene obviously didn't feel anything like fanservice, I really like how it was handled. 10/10. |
| i noticed some thing was really odd about this episode, now that i have read the comments, i know why. Still, i hoe they get back to the original art style, or else.. i guess i'll just have to deal with it. All this sex thing reminds me a lot of Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" |

| The art style was definitely different although not too bad I can see and fully understand why others didn't like it. I for one, really enjoyed the previous art style it was such a nice, crisp, colored scheme art style and it worked in various ways. This episode left me very confused as to where this anime is headed, it did in some way feel like a completely different anime to me. I'm not dropping this though its too interesting at this point. I have to move forward! |

| The change in artystyle (the characters look older than the previous eps) was very noticeable right in the first scene. Maybe because of that particular "scene" to make it more fitting and less awkward. But it still felt awkward because the characters being younger-looking in the previous episodes was already implanted in my head. Also, the monk died yet none of them mentioned it. And some of the facial expressions seem unfitting. Might be just me though. |
| Unlike many other, the animation style didn't bothered me that much. In fact, I thought that it was more fitting with the stifling atmosphere. Damn, that almost sex scene was... oddly hot xD So much intimate moment... Can they really go back to being just friend after all that? It would feel a bit awkward :/ Anyway, Satoru was a boss in that episode. He looked like a commando, with all his improvisation plan and his cool attitude :P I guess that what he was poking at was the queen... |

| The animation got extremely lazy this episode. Now I am all for using animation to support the atmosphere, but this got to the point where it was difficult to read the characters expressions and actions because of the animation. It is also seems like characters are acting oddly through this series. I am honestly having trouble getting a read on each character (maybe that's on purpose or maybe not). Either way it is making it hard to get invested in the show. Everything in this show seems oddly abrupt. Everything comes with little to no warning, but this is probably b/c I can't read the characters of the situations well. I do know exactly what's going on factually but at the same time I'm completely lost as to where this anime is going. Another thing the lip syncing is horrible. I am not exaggerating. |

Ha yeah, when they were freaking out in the beginning, I thought it was because they saw a person get blown up into oblivion. But turns out, creatures evolving to just kill was a bigger shock to them. Considering how extremely sheltered their lives are, you'd think another human dying a gruesome death right in front of their eyes would at least have some effect on them. |

| Hmm, I can't say I particularly enjoyed this episode. The artstyle, while not bad, was weird in how it seemed to age the characters somehow. That, and it felt like things were happening a bit too fast. |

| WTF?! This was by far one of the worst episodes I've ever seen in anime. The animation was terrible, the flow of events felt inconsistent and awkward, the character expressions didn't fit, and the script+directing were a complete and utter mess. The monk died and no-one even mentioned it. Saki and Satarou get separated but they don't even seem to care about the others. Then the weird sex scene. The whole ordeal inside the caves was rushed and nonsensical. The chase scenes, the action, everything felt like it was done by a bunch of amateurs on a home PC or something. Either the studio was low on budget for this episode, or they let some trainees do the work, cos the difference with the previous episodes was staggering! |

| So much happened in this episode that makes it almost necessary to watch it twice. I almost felt transplanted to another series ( I don't mean that in a negative sense). Like others here I noticed the change in the animation, but I wonder how much of it is a drop in quality, and how much is a conscious decision by the staff to give this episode a surreal look and feel that would make us share in their sense of disorientation. I wonder how their society will receive them after all that has transpired. I'm also curious as to how their "powers" can be removed and restored. I hope at some point we get an explanation for that. |
