"You sound like a communist" My bad for not expecting such a line, had me chuckle. Religion is invented +10 points for the show, thank you. Great commentary as always 5/5.
I wouldn't mind being ruled by Watashi if you catch my drift. Those gloves, clothings, English. Amazing girl.
That "Repeato!!!" and "OMG" were nothing short of legendary.
So for the first in the anime a one episode arc as opposed to two and the quality didn't drop one bit. We witnessed the rise and fall of a civilization in 9 days that was destined to fail and as always you got to love Watashi's commentary throughout the episode. She was really speaking in volumes this ep, especially the humans not learning from past mistakes and wanting to seek out a new island to repeat the process all over again.

HikaruIzumi said: Now, I'm going to fit this arc into the "Watashi is a mentally ill kid" theory. Yaay!! WARNING long rant ahead.
The beginning of episode, with fairies bullying one of them, including the "election" talk, looked to me like something real life "Watashi" might have gone through. Maybe her illness got better so her grandfather sent her to school. However, the popular kids ("election talk" = you need popularity to be class/school president) bullied her because they considered her weird. Because of these trouble her grandpa decided to home school her ("No desk for you") and in her imaginations her blamed them for it (they bullied her so she had to study at home).
The first part of the a peal (sorry, I had to)... I mean appeal, sounds like something an adult would say about our world (probably when her grandpa was explaining why they bullied her) while the next one sounds like something a child would add to an "ugly world". Also, notice that it says "from US". It could pretty much mean that those thoughts ("we seek asylum", "we need to get far away") were actually thoughts of real world's Watashi as a response to the bullying ("I want to be safe"," I want to go away"). It could mean she, once again, hid in her own world. The lack of Watashi at the beginning could hint on her doing better with her illness and she was "herself" not her ideal future self... until the bullying.
The "stressed" talk could be something that happened between a psychologist and her grandpa, of course she changed it so that strangers she didn't feel comfortable with weren't around and so it would fit into her imaginary world so it was just her and grandpa and it was about fairies. The trip order was simply a vacation she had to go through to get over the stress from bullying. This is the reason why she was the queen and why the fairies did everything she wanted, it was simply her grandpa trying to make her relax by doing everything she wanted. Notice that the bullied fairy was missing after getting stranded. hat could hint that she got over it faster than expected (what is a good sign since it means she could get better soon) but Watashi was still there what hints on some kind of... preference of her imaginary world over he real one (that could be a problem).
Cookies throwing simply meant that she had all the sweets she wanted (fairies represent her real needs and they were greatly satisfied in this episode). The crazy mechanics and fast inventing were simply her addition so that it would make sense in her imaginary world. I guess they (real her and grandpa) went into wilderness at first since nature is believed to have good effect on humans. That was covered by getting stranded in her imaginary world. She complains there a lot (the lighter, leaf bed, missing shower) and so her grandpa decides to take her to nearby hotel with hot springs (fancy furniture, electricity, hot water). It's at this point when he could feel guilty/or makes her want to relax more so he lets her eat more sweets. However, she starts abusing it (building monuments could mean that she started playing with the food) and her grandpa stops with the sweets. That makes her (fairy population) gloomy and creates bad weather (it could have actually rained for a long time in real world). That's when their time for vacation runs out (grandpa probably has a job, judging by those weapons he could be in police or similar) and they go home (grandpa picks her up in her imaginary world). The school things probably means that they want to try it again or it simply means that grandpa finally started home schooling her.
What this arc meant for real world Watashi? Her illness got better so she could go to school what means that it is curable. However, the bullying incident made her lock herself up again. She didn't get much better due to her grandpa spoiling her too much but the reappearance of grandpa and assistant means that she once again managed to return to real world to a degree. So she's is pretty much where she was an episode ago. Another thing I got from this episode is that Watashi somehow represent her mental condition. Lack of Watashi means that she is getting better, while appearance of Watashi means that her condition is at the starting point. Since fairies are symbolise her real self and Watashi ideal mature self. Fairies also symbolise the things she can't explain (that's why they create stuff out of nothing) and other people that interact with her. Also, I believe that appearance of others (not just herself= Watashi and fairies) also signifies some sort of "returning" to the real world.
I share your thoughts and try to justify them similarly.
Congratulations on your good dissertation.
This is really an exciting and profound episode , an empire rising and soon declining , the situation is perfectly correspond to the "ED" .
Isn't it a miniature process of the development course of humanity?

Well we're well on our way to topping anything we did in the past by destroying an entire planet. What with the decaying of the ozone layer and the rapid depletion of our natural resources such as minerals, grasslands, wildlife and aquatic species.
I was afraid this show wouldn't be able to return the amazing quality that was the first two episodes. It was still entertaining, but the social commentary, storyline and events just weren't as interesting
This episode COMPLETELY changed my opinion. That was so fucking fun to watch. Just Watashi being Watashi, fairies being fairies, with the great art style that is so fun to watch
Oh the trappings of civilized living, I guess there are too many things we really take for granted just because we've grown accustomed to it.
Woah from simple survival to governance, the environmental impacts of progress(she might be indirectly responsible for wiping the three indigenous spider species Grandpa was talking about in the end), population explosion, social decay through vanity and apathy. It's like watching Imperial Rome's "bread and circuses" with the literal and out-of-context "Let them eat cake"-thing and then finally Plato's Atlantis. XD
Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita Episode 9: The History of the Rise, Decline and Fall of the Fairy Fail Nation by Watasahi. >_<
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.
Honestly, this episode is on par with the 1st arc... just incredible!
The social commentary on humans/civilization is SPOT ON. There was over use of the earth, invention of religion, narcotics, and indoor plumbing (...to name a few). This episode brought me back to the genius that is this show.
This episode was just awesome. The rise and fall of a civilization in just 14 days. Haha the fairies were all so cute to watch and their carefree selves was shown off nicely. Watashi acting like a queen was great too.
I didn't really care for this episode all that much. Probably because it reminded me of the incredible Beard episode from Dennou Coil, only not as good. Still, it was a pretty cool idea.
"Yes, I have been deprived of emotion. But not completely. Whoever did it, botched the job."
Likely the best episode, perhaps better than the first few. I was worried that this show would continue to stale, especially after the robot arc and the perhaps even more mundane Endless Eight-esque arc. Thankfully at least, the EE-like arc resolved itself and brought some much needed characterization through its conclusion. In contrast, I just loved this entire episode from each second.
In my opinion, I would rank the arcs so far as:
E09, E01-02 > E03-04 >> (stales from here) E05-06, E07-08.
Fairies are pretty ideal as far as civilization goes. There's no social classes apparently (and even if there were nobody seemed concerned about social mobility). Food is freely distributed by the ruling monarch so this appears to be a communist society as well. However, due to the complete absence of social classes, this society was pretty utopic and ended only due to the depletion of natural resources. In a real human society there always had been social classes and a desire for social mobility. As interesting as this episode is, it's not anywhere close to being a legitimate critique of human society, but definitely an enjoyable episode nonetheless
Holy crap, I can't even begin to describe the awesomeness of this episode. So much to be said about how civilization goes ... starting with the basics then spiraling out of control and then collapsing ... history in a nutshell, wouldn't you say? :P
Queen Watashi ... making sweets and stuff all day! Crazy how they got electricity and everything ... oh my :O The fairies are adorable though XD Eventually it all has to come to an end ... no more trees ... sounds familiar D: Then they get all depressed and it leads to a massive rainstorm ... AND THEN IT ALL FLOODS OVER?! O_O She gets found by her grandpa and assistant ... lulz :P Too bad she has to "clean things up" ... we haven't been doing that so well IRL D;
What she was saying about just cutting loose and going somewhere else to start this all over again ... well, that certainly sounds like what's happened over the years! :O
First one-episode arc IIRC ... wonder what's up next? :O

All honor is a source of joy and duties, in summary, the juice of the episode. I thought that the plot was again a source of bizarre and inexplicable events, but this has not happened, too linear.
Dialogues always epic and strong impact in terms of comedy, but I would call it more sarcasm.
Watashi is one of the most charismatic female characters!
This is probably my favorite episode of Jinrui I've seen so far. Nice little demonstration of the rise and fall of a civilization. I half expected a revolution during the last couple of days.
Oh I see. So that's how Jintai is, eh? I was sensing some satirical undertones ever since the chicken shit, and now it makes sense when you inter-relate this ep and the first ep/s/arc.
Christening.
Know what? Fuck it. Dropped. Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita may be appealing for its allegorical style of the real world and history, but that's exactly it.
Why the hell am I watching an anime showing the problems of the world
I don't get what else there is to like about it. Watashi's personality doesn't help either. No one's does.
Fuck you Kishi Seiji
Tentai Senshi Sunred's the ONLY good thing you directed.
This episode was brilliant. The fairy that presented a new species of narcotic plant and peed on himself and then went into a shivering fit after eating it was hilarious.
As I'm currently rewatching the series I can't help but think that this episode is beyond brilliant. So many great references, remarks to the real world. And afterall, it also explained the setting of the series itself. The fairies are such a brilliant satirical depiction of the human race.
