lame ending. it basically makes the first 12 episodes completely pointless.

disappointing end to an otherwise average/below average show. 5/10.

It was fine, I guess. I gave it a 2 out of 5. Why? Two reasons.

1) Lack of memory-regain. I read above that she does in the manga. That's good. I don't read manga, so I doubt I'll ever see that myself, but regardless, I feel that was a bad choice. We were drawn into their interactions during the rest of the show.... which are barely important at the end. Don't get me wrong, they are, but, she doesn't remember them, so they're only important in a vague way. I'm having trouble explaining it, but imagine if you were looking at it through a foggy window. You'd see something, but you wouldn't be able to see the details, just a vague shape. That's how the importance of the rest of the show was to the end. Additionally, since Midori's personality was significantly different in certain areas between her as Seiji's hand, and her as her body. It basically takes their entire interaction, and turns it into a change in her from "extremely shy" to "very shy". It just doesn't work for me.

2) The lack of any apparent relationship at the end, doesn't give much satisfaction. There's an implication, but that's all. In fact, they don't even touch. It just comes off as distant, and cold, rather than how ti should when you position them like that. As a final point, Seiji never actually says that he loves Midori, which was very disappointing seeing as how they built, and reinforced the opportunity for that. Again, it just came across as unfulfilling.

So, while I very much liked this series. In fact, I gave it one of the highest ratings I have of any show, the ending, while nice to some extent, was unfulfilling, and didn't give enough closure to the story.

very nice series although I am a little sad that the romance didn't develop until the end and only got as far as confessing but didn't expect more so can't say I'm too disappointed about that. The series itself was very heartwarming glad I watched it.

A nice short sweet anime. I enjoyed it, although some parts of it were embarrassing to watch.

I only wish he had said that he loved her or a kills.

Great final episode, really lovely scenery end finish of the anime! This anime was really enjoyable to watch, it had great and funny moments and just had an interesting concept! Even though it started rather sad this episode it still had a great ending!

I found this really enjoyable to watch! If they finish with a kiss I'd would push this to a 10 but the lack of a exploding finish but still a sweet finish I give it a 9/10!

Really great Anime!

Dammit Seiji you missed her and yet you still act so detached.

But this is anime where most of the time things like holding hands is basically sex lol.

I'm kinda sad we didn't see Takamizawa again, he was fun to watch.

Someone said it didn't have full comedy or full-on romance but I quite liked the mix of things it did have.

Anyway, good show and enjoyable too. 7/10

I enjoyed the overall series. Wished though they'd show how she developed the crush on Seiji, instead of only saying "I've always been watching you" and wished he'd finally say "I love you" to Midori or kiss her in the end.

7/10

Really enjoyed this series as a romance despite the lack of physical romance at the end.

Seiji totally tried to be too much like Han Solo at the end. The "I know" line just made me want to scream out! They built it up in the various episodes for him to physical say the words, as he already admitted to loving her earlier. Totally blew that part.

Other than that, still a great show. 8/10 for me

If it can help you get over the fact that Midori forgotten everything, I've read somewhere that in the manga, she find the diary she wrotes. So I guess she somehow get to know what happened, or at least, she's aware that it happened.

In the end, it was a cute ending in overall. Kinda sad she forgotten everything, but hey! They got together, so everything is alright, right!? Right?
I kind of wonder how they'll explain Midori mom that they got together. ''Wait, is he that guy who molested my daughter while she was in a comatose state?!!?'' xD
And Midori will have no idea what the fuck she's talking about...

It seem like Ayase have passed to something else. Good for her, she's a strong girl, I'm sure she was able to turn the page easily. Kinda sad after all the effort she has put in it...

The poor childhood friend get tossed away and will bring his feelings into the grave. At least, he seem in peace that he reunited them.

I enjoyed the series as a whole but that ending was weak sauce. Him not saying "I love You" to Midori I can give a pass but the whole memory wipe bullshit NO! just NO! I remember this bullshit being pulled in Toaru Majutsu no Index and never forgave it for doing that. I don't know, to me it just ruins a lot of the magical, romancey shit. I've heard that the manga has a better ending even with the memory wipe but she actually reads the diary of their time together. Don't know why they didn't include that into the anime. Memory wipes shouldn't be done ever unless there is a real good fucking reason to.

I don't know why but I really enjoyed watching this show. The only idea of a girl becoming your right hand and saying that she "loved you for a long time" sounds ridiculous but it works. It's like someone thought very hard on how to make the situation more perverted and came up with this.

I expected a more dramatic climax, it could have been much more emotional and intensive. Especially the memory loss subject might have been developed and finished much better. But l I'm not disappointed with the result - after all it's a happy ending.

I gave this anime 10/10 until the last ep. After seeing the last episode, I gave it 8/10. It was as unsatisfying as endings go! Maaaaan, it was so bad! No kiss, and he didn't even say he loved her, no hint of their life together or anything. This suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Rest of the anime is pretty good; fun but also pretty meaningful stuff.

A not bad ending to a delightful Anime. But it really could use the FMA Brotherhood treatment though. The manga has such good length, the anime was just so short I always feel depressed knowing that I've seen enough of it enough times it's difficult to rewatch.

Probably not spoiler anymore at this point, since this was mentioned 5 times already, but to confirm, YES, Midori does read her diary at the very end of the manga! Literally the last page of the scans. The last page was a 4-koma extra (author does this at the end of every volume I believe) that just showed Seiji telling her that she used to his right hand. Midori was surprised at what she wrote from reading her diary. However, there was NO indication that she regained her memory, just that she was surprised. No epilogue or anything.

You can basically just read the last chapter, Chapter 85, to see how the manga differed from the anime ending. The anime basically just cut out most of the stories from the manga (which were all episodic, so you didn't miss much IMO) and kept the ending just about the same. There is no need to read the manga unless you want to see more side characters thrown in or to see Ayase's relationship, which differed a lot from the anime. If anything, read from the beginning if you are interested enough and don't mind knowing the ending already.

I was hoping for 3 things in the finale
1. Seiji give Midori her diary and they both come to terms with what happened and they move forward as a couple
2. Midori have the courage to confess to seiji
3. Seiji says "I love you" to Midori

if those 3 things had happened it would've been so much more satisfying and this couple and the series would stick my mind forever. Instead they went with the current ending and the two ended up a low-key normal couple. forgettable.

I quite like the ending. Everything got resolved and everyone lived happily ever after. This series was going to be a 10 for me but I feel like the ending didn't live up to its potential, so it ended with only an 8.

They basically used 12 episodes to develop the 2 leads then erase every events that happened and leave only the developed characters.

I was waiting him to give her the diary, relive the good times while creating new ones. The ending is good but it would've been better had the two had acknowledge the 3 months they spent together and come to terms with what happened and move on together.

That will help midori understand her feelings that seemingly came out of no where after she woke up and it'll help seiji treasure the times they spent together.

An argument could be made for the current ending that it won't make her feel like she missed out on something and it'll give both of them a chance to start off fresh. With seiji now having an understanding of how he feels towards Midori, they can start off fresh and lovey like a new couple.

I just really wanted them to acknowledge those months instead of pretending the whole 12 episodes didn't happened.

Many people are saying that the ending needed a kiss. I actually am a very big fan of ecchi animes but in this anime, i think would totally mess up Things because Midori forgot everything, so for her it's a first step towards her love life. From midori's point of view they barely know anything about each other. I don't think anyone would kiss in such a scenario. The kiss would not match the situation at all.

But the ending seriously seriously lacked one thing which ruined the ending. I.e. sawamura saying "I love u, midori" or "I love u too, midori". That's what was necessary instead of a kiss.

Even if the manga is better this anime deserves a 7.
And +1 because of the great job of seiyus and nice Soundtrack (Opening, Ending and OST).

Kind of a bittersweet ending since Midori didn't regain her precious memories of her time with Seiji, but maybe she could with help of her dairy.

In any case, I had tons of fun with this series. It's rare for a quirky rom-com to get me emotionally invested like this. My only gripe with this finale was the lack of closure in form of an epilogue or something, even tho the essential points were dealt with.

I feel like a lot of people watched this episode when they're half asleep. Even if Seiji didn't say "I love you" to Midori. He still made his feelings very clear to her after Midori confessed. During the scene he replies with, "I've watched you for a long time too." which Midori reaffirmed if he meant it in that way while blushing and he confirms by saying, "yeah.". If that's not clear as day that he feels the same as she does then I don't know what to say. Now about the missing kiss scene, it wouldn't make much sense since the girl lost her memories so it was if she confronted him for the very first time. Sure, if she did have her memories then it would make more sense to be more physical. Also, people seem to be pretending that there isn't an epilogue when the credits itself was clearly it. You get to see them spend their life together afterwards with the opening song playing.

It would have been nice seeing Midori meet Seiji's sister and even Ayase and Takamizawa. Granted this is apparently how the manga ended, but there's nothing saying the Anime could not have added just a bit more. I did not necessarily need to see them kiss...but maybe showing that Midori might be remembering their time together, it just feels like those things were stolen from her at the end.

For an anime that didn't adapt the full manga, I have to say its a good thing that this anime at least had closure and ended on a pretty bittersweet but strong note, even if it was sort of underdeveloped by the end in some regards. The manga's better and feels more fleshed out but at least the anime does its best to cover ground with stuff like the Ayase confession and the direction of the relationship between Midori and Seiji at the end.

Overall, it was a good anime. A very entertaining first half followed by an above-average but slightly forgettable 2nd half except the main plot points like with Ayase and with Midori's body situation. The manga's still the medium where I love it the most but the anime gave me more than enough to enjoy it as a positive experience overall. 7/10.

Disliked it a fair bit. The ending felt empty, like there wasn't any resolution. And the fact Seiji now suddenly loves Midori when not even a couple eps before was hitting on other girls just felt ridiculous. Plus, how selfish was Midori? Selfish and stubborn, plus a little creepy - falling for someone you've just seen and never talked to? Huh?

Overall a waste of time.

Overall this series was an 8/10 for me beacuse it was too short and it felt rushed(but that's because the anime was completed before the manga). I wanted a simple romance anime and that's what I got. I'll definitely read the manga for the full-fledged story and to see if there's more development in Seiji,Midori and the side characters.

It was a pretty good ending, but I wish they explained how the right hand stuff even happened in the first place. I didn't really think the later episodes really reached the precedent that the first few established for the show. I heard that the anime finished airing before the source material was completed so this is understandable.

Shittest possible ending.
The last 2 episodes were a gigantic timewaste, Seji behaved like an unlikeable prick and instead of going the safe route of him realizing he loves her and going to her house to confess we get this nonsense. It feels like they got a last minute memo that the series actually has 13 episodes instead of 12 so they had to make up some bullshit on the fly to stretch the story out. You seriously have to doubt the abilty of the writers if they cant even come up with Seji confessing first. Instead they basically made him shrug off Midori's confession which was the worst thing they could do.
Last two episodes made me drop the rating from 9 to 7. Unlucky.

Aww, I feel bad for Ayase, but she has nothing to worry about, she's a nice girl and there's plenty of guys for her.

Nice happy end! It feels incomplete though and I'm a bit disappointed that Seiji didn't say he loves her too. Still, it's an underrated anime that gave me good feels and plenty of laughter, especially during the first half of the season! 8/10
