| nooooooooooooooooooooo! so emotional right now... such feelings. I know that this is permanent.. it has to be or it'd be BS storytelling to make us go on a roller coaster like that... but SHIT. I miss him <3 my fave chara by far! and Koko and him finally had a moment. ;-; This is an amazing show. No one is safe. |

| Huh. I come here, kinda reminded of the show and curious what people's reactions to this episode were... And it feels weird to agree with EVERYONE. Kamina died. Oh no, he was so awesome! - True that. Kamina died. Well, finally! - I know, right? Kamina died. So what? - Yeah, not that big of a deal. I admit, the only thing I can't agree with are claims like "gonna drop, he was the sole reason I watched". When I watched the series, I was so tired of it and I think this episode caused me to stick with it. If they can kill their protagonist (bait and switch protagonist to be exact), maybe they CAN tell an interesting story after all. And... They didn't really. But it was a great ride of excitement and craziness even with a messy story. Overrated? Definitely. But I'm glad I watched it. So don't drop after this episode, people, there's plenty more to come. A lot changes after this episode, the series gets into the second half of the first half, so to say. The second half also consists of two halfs. And it gets better and better (even if the highlight IS the first half of the second half for me). |

| Another Ashita no Joe reference, I didn't expect Kamina death to be inspirated from it... But I suppose that it makes sense since the two characters were somewhat similar in some aspects. That was great, yet sad. |

| Marathoned(was suspicious, thought it's overrated), and now I see why it's rated THAT high. But I'm only at episode 12 right now and it feels like a strong 8/10 for me. Episeode 8 is a break point for sure. |

| even after all this time, even though i knew exactly what would happen, rewatching this episode on bluray, i still cant help but say holy shit. the amount of raw emotion in this episodes ending, that ending song, the giga drill, kaminas death. holy shit. that is all. |

| The only reason I didn't cry during this is cause I was watching this with my friends. Wow. I can't believe he died so early. It was really sad how they made you think he would survive, too. And then his last words... :( I am fucking in love with this anime, now. |

| Here I was getting ready to post about how refreshing it was to see a romance between two main characters get a pretty hot kiss scene this early in the series and then THAT happened. Wow! I did not see that coming--even with reading some of the character bios. Now I can see why this is so highly rated. |

| One of the saddest episodes I've ever came across. Didn't expect him to die sooo early .___. Even at this day after finished Gurran Lagaan, it still feels uncomfortable at the thought of Kamina's death ;__; RIP Kamina *~* |

| I freakin' cried and that never happens for any anime (well maybe except for Angel Beats). Kamina deserved my tears. He was just to epic. This episode had a little too much to take in. That jealousy and then Kamina punching out his troubles. I also loved that love there between Kamina and Yoko mmmmhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! |
| Definitely my favorite episode so far, things got real crazy. That whole battle was really intense and awesome. When Kamina was fatally injured I just kept thinking "they'll patch him up next episode", but now I'm not sure. I wonder if he really did die, if he did I don't think this sinking feeling in my chest will go away for a long time. |
