Western dude here, I live for tsundere :V But tsundere characters just as any other type, can be written horrible, so not every tsundere is a good example of a good one :P |

Aren't you just generalizing'? Characters like Taiga, Asuka, Rin etc. are pretty well liked by western fans, so I don't agree at all with you. |

Tsunderes are cancer, I don't know how anyone can find a bitch cute, especially those people who want them as waifus, I 100% positive you will regret it if you actually got associated with a tsundere in real life, just like yanderes. |

Dunno where you're getting your information that people in Asia actually love tsunderes. Like seriously, I've lived in Asia before for a number of months in a couple different countries and I'd never met anyone who seemed particularly favoured towards them or anything. Unless you mean Asia=Japan, and Japan=the people in Japan who watch anime which is actually a lot smaller percentage than you probably think it is... then yeah, you're probably right about that. |

I'm Asian and I would not like to associate with a real-life tsundere more than necessary. Tsunderes are not bad, but in some anime like Love Hina the MC gets beaten up and doesn't give a damn about it, is really irritating. Cold but caring heroines are fun to watch abut overdramatised tsunderes are just bumps in the road of storytelling. |

I can't speak for others, but I don't like people when they act like a little cunt. That shouldn't really be too surprising. It's one thing for someone to act shy and embarassed about their feelings, but when they get physically and verbally abusive to try and cover up for them? I don't understand the appeal in that at all. It's funny every now and then for a little humour, but when you have characters like Kirino, the only thing they deserve is a knife dragged across their throat because they're fucking terrible people who deserve any negativity thrown their way. It's also an archetype devoid of any actual personality, so that automatically lessens my like for them anyway. A tsundere is a character you'll find in so many anime, with little to distinguish from others of the same archetype. This goes for all of the -deres, of course. Make real characters with actual feelings, reactions and personalities, rather than going down a Pokémon-esque checklist of what you've got and what you've not. |

I think, judging a character just by what category they happen to fall into, doesn't make much sense. Sometimes it makes sense within the story for a character to have traits one would mark as tsundere, and often that does not make up the entirety of their character and they have plenty besides that trait to offer, so I do like some "tsundere characters". If all they have is that archetype, then I usually do dislike them, yes, because they aren't good/well developed characters, but that goes the same for the other "dere" categories. Does that make sense? Exactly the same for me. Robiiii said: They are just so fucking boring. I want to see an anime where a tsunbitch gets slapped for once. Insta-fav that. At least we know that those who work on anime and manga seem to like tsunderes because they keep reappearing over and over again. But other than them, who the hell loves tsunderes ?? They're just abusive idiots !! Yep, it's totally cool to hit the male friend if you're pissed about something, that just makes you cute, and your male friend sticks around anyway ! Or my favorite : You never lock the door of your room when you're getting dressed, a guy opens the door and sees you half naked but he didn't mean to. All hell breaks loose, and the man gets beaten up and is called a pervert by some dumb asshole who can't be bothered to lock a door or see that her friend didn't mean to see her half naked. How do these characters have friends anyway ? I really don't get it. |

I haven't seen her anime to the end, but she seems like an ordinary antagonistic sibling. Not unlike my relationship with my little brother when it was at the worst. And of course, nowhere like the totally unrealistic little sisters of other anime. Kirino is nowhere the level of, say, Sugou/Oberon "the butterfly guy" from SAO. I wouldn't be sure it's the same people, but some people do want a rapist protagonist in harems, and bad guy protagonists overall. They must be crazy. Sometimes I think they're reacting to the prevalence of feminism in the west. I don't understand them. Tsundere is an overrated and overdone concept with some rare exceptions where it works like with say your Anya Hepburn. Tsundere is an extremely exaggerated concept of the "hard to get" girl and 9-10 when it's done it's generally almost away the same girl. The tsun tsun side is extremely irrational. Even at the age of 12-17 I wouldn't like any girl hitting me or violently beating me and then switching to a nicer side like a sour-sweet gummi. I'd think they were bipolar or something. I think a more even temperament is good. So tsundere can work. But the most popular examples are [some] the worst. |

It depends which tsundere whe are talking about, i like Chitoge, Taiga, the girl from Netoge. But there are some tsunderes people and i dont like, normally they are the girls who fall in love with the MC too quickly, irracionally, with no reason. Also when they dont grow as a characters or does shamefull and irritating actions that isnt like a tsundere, just like a bitch! I hate when the tsundere of a show in a nutshell is some girl who keeps abusing the MC for ilogical and retarded reasons and only fall into one misconception after another one. Worst is when she is more tsun side but goes to the dere side and is more irritating that the another counterpart of her. |

I dislike the whole concept of tsunderes simply being extremely violent with their love interest. As if that's supposed to make me like them and find such abuse endearing? The only tsundere character I've ever been able to LOVE is Aisaka Taiga from Toradora! Because she doesn't simply beat the shit out of Ryuuji every single moment he does something she may relatively disagree with or become jealous of. And, she calms down quite a but later in the series. Simply enough, a lot of tsundere characters don't have character development that gave more depth to them other than extreme violence for our own amusement |

I've always thought the western fans love tsunderes because of how they are not portrayed as weak and submissive. If you ask me, I HATE tsunderes because they are a complete bitch whom rarely get any comeuppance for causing more problems among the cast. They always expect every other characters to cater to their needs regardless of whether their significance to the series. Personally I don't like girls that act like a bitch cause I will not associate with someone that is hostile to me. |

I guess its because westerners tend to say whatever is on their mind without beating around the bush, so when they see something like a tsundere who can't get their shit together and just say whatever the fuck they want to say, but instead do it in the most unnecessary way possible or not at all wasting our time looking at the screen for 5 minutes just to see this hoe walk away while saying 'BAKA' is truly highly annoying. Thats only my opinion tho. |
