Probably one of the best evil laughs in all of anime history. Badass and psychotic. Did I mention she's badass? Kobato Hanato Kobato. So cute! She makes me laugh every time she gets burned by Ioryogi-san or trips. Rena Ryuuguu Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Creepiest/Cutest girl ever. AAUUU OMOCHIKAERII!~ The Higurashi scenes with her were probably the best. Oh, and her cleaver is badass. Badass and psychotic. Konata Izumi Lucky Star Her otaku-ness makes me laugh all the time. She's just so... different than most anime characters. She likes to take things not very seriously... And I just love her personality. Kuroko Shirai To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Ahaha, what more should I say. Her love for ''onee-sama'' is just amazing. Those are funniest parts of Railgun. Also, she's so badass with her teleporting ability. She acts as if it's nothing much though. But she likes to brag about it sometimes... Shiori Misaka Kanon I don't know what to say about her... Her arc in Kanon was the best arc. Her story was so sad, too bad the ending sucked, but she's still the best! Misuzu Kamio Air GAO. Tomoyo Sakagami Clannad Badass. (WTH do I have with badass girls?) I love her fighting skills. Her personality is also really cool. I just loved each and every moment of Clannad with her. Makoto Sawatari Kanon Hated her at first. But when she started getting closer to Yuuichi, I started to like her more and MOAR. She was so cute! Liang Qi CANAAN Badass and psychotic. 'nough said. So yeah, I like badass and psychotic girls. Kuran, Kaname Vampire Knight - Because he's a hot bishie. <3 Ootori, Kyouya Ouran High School Host Club - Because I'm into the "cool type". ;) Hibari, Kyoya Katekyo Hitman Reborn! - Because he's badass and hot. Koizumi, Itsuki The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Because he's so mysterious, but still cheerful on the outside. I love how he freaks Kyon out with his homo acts. | Hei - Darker Than Black I just love how he can go from acting as a shy college student to a total badass fighter. Alice - Pandora Hearts The only tsundere I can stand. I can't help but like her and her smartass comments about things. Izaya Orihara - Durarara!! He reminds me a lot of Hei for some reason, but Izaya is way creepier/more mysterious/more crazy. Erza Scarlet - Fairy Tail I actually didn't like her at first, but she grew on me. She's serious and strict about things, but she's also really funny imo. Plus the way she scares Natsu and Gray is hilarious. | Oh, well you see. I think they all have something in common! Let's find out! Sakura Kinomto Is my ideal child. I love everything about her. She's the cutest best thing to ever hit the anime screen to me. Lelouch Lamperouge Brilliant, amazing and never failed to entertain, Lulu. He's extremely hott. I love how dedicated he is to what he wants. He's independent and strong willed. And the most charming fellow on the block. Nagisa Furukawa I think I just got really attached to her character, and she's just plain cute. She may be weak physically, but I don't think anyone is mentally as strong as she is. Tomoya Okazaki Basically the perfect fucking husband in the history of the world, he's perfect in every way. Utau Hoshina She has twintails, she's badass, she knows what she wants, sings and carries herself well. Ideal role model. Also Anemone She's also badass, and is crazy in the cutest way. Pink hair. Best laugh. I love her whole story. Holo If any character has been able to make get butterflies in my stomach, it's her. She's cute, witty, sexy, just splendid. Yuno Gasai Pink hair ; she's a crazy girl and I love how dedicated she is to the boy she's obsessed with. And she doesn't take shit from anybody, and I mean anybody. Rin Tohsaka She doesn't take shit from anybody either, she's smart and what she wants she's going to get. Plush she has little twintails that turn me on. I think what my characters have in common is they all know how to get what they want in their own way. I can't stand really wimpy weenie chars. Or annoying character's that don't do shit. I respect all my favorites and love the way they handle things, and are so dedicated to their goals. |

| Goku The Dragon Ball Series - Goku is one of the toughest, if not the toughest characters in anime history. he also the most un-evil character ever and im pretty sure im going to remember the name Goku for the rest of my life. Usa, Mimi Kodomo no Jikan well, besides her cute/loli appearance, I think shes a rule nice and soft character. I like her more for who she is than what she looks like. Tendo, Nabiki Ranma 1/2 one of my fav. anime characters ever. i always thought that Nabiki was the cool-est character from Ranma. I think this is what you call, "My waifu" Norimaki, Arale Dr. Slump She's really cute and really funny Afro Samurai Afro Samurai one of the few black anime characters i know, and he is a total badass. Kenshiro Hokuto no Ken Ken is the definition of a badass. He will strike your pressure points and make your body explode from internal pressure. He is so badass that for a time, i thought his techniques were real. Starwind, Gene Outlaw Star Another badass who kicks ass and takes names... and drives a space ship Hiruma, Youichi Eyeshield 21 evil mastermind. he also has a cool voice Saotome, Ranma Ranma 1/2 funny, arrogant, and tough, and his girl transformation is very hot Magami, Eiko Project A-ko probably the hottest girl anime character ever. she also has super strength, which is another plus |

Also his twisted sense of justice is, well, awesome. He's intelligent, and practically good at everything. Furude Rika - Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai. They way she has 2 faces, 1 while being with her friends: cheerful and happy.And 1 when she's by herself: dark and mature. Also, admire her determination. Okita Sougo - Gintama. He's funny. Why? Smoker One Piece The most badass of every villain in One Piece, He makes the Loguetown arc. one of my favourites. Miyo Takano Higurashi no Naku Koro ni series Freaking incredible character, The crazyness and beauty, makes her a deathly combination for me... And Miki Itou does such an awesome job as her, atleast in the last episode of Kai. Maes Hughes Full Metal Alchemist/Brotherhood Hilarious supporting character, His obsession wth his family is one of the best things in FMA :) Toshiro Hijikata Gintama BAMF!!! Soo cool. | Sure, I'll jump into your topic Jumper =D 1. Tsukimiya Ayu: Kanon 2006: Freaking adorable character, developed a real emotional attachment throughout Kanon. Uguu is the best saying ever and it's Yui Horie's best role in my opinion. 2. Lamperouge Lelouch: Code Geass: Super Genius, never ceased to amaze me, I guess it's a sense of admiration for what he is capable of accomplishing. 3. Aisaka Taiga: Toradora!: Tsundere, Check!, Kugimiya Rie Tsundere, Check!, Best one of the aforementioned points, Check!! Was nice to see a Tsundere truly open up and be herself. Not many I've seen that have done that in their anime. 4. Fujibayashi Kyou: Clannad: Most natural character in Clannad and the best match for Tomoya, if only the OVA adaption had been a bit more in depth, she would have more fans. 5. Satoko Houjou: Higurashi: Epic Laugh, Epic trap making skills and just generally a cute char with an awesome and unique VA. 6. Shirai Kuroko: To Aru Kagaku no Railgun: Best character in Railgun despite being comic relief, she has my favourite ability of all the espers. Wanting her to get her ONEE-SAMA! one day =) 7. Sunohara Youhei: Clannad: Best supporting male character for comic relief ever, I would kill for a friend like him as he always gives out good advice as well as being damned funny. 8. Stadtfeld Kallen: Code Geass: My favourite of the female cast in Geass, she seemed the most real and lets not overlook the fact that she looks damned fine in a lycra bodysuit. 9. Ayane: Nagasarete Airantou: My favourite character on the island and the best match for Ikuto in my opinion. Definitely a misunderstood character with an abusive older sister. 10. Ryuuguu Rena: Higurashi: My second fave character from my favourite anime, the scene on the rooftop cemented her place in my favourites. |

He's a psycho but he also has strage type of morals.Badass of course. Ikari Shinji(Neon Genesis Evangelion) A very complex character.I agree that he can be annoying at times,but that's not a reason to hate him.Who expected to see a ''manly main''(wich is very bland and uninteresting) simply watched the wrong show) Sohma Kyo(Fruits Basket) He has a certain depth specific for slice of life Takemoto Yuuta(Honey and Clover) A very good char(in my opinion again) that developed during the series Orihara Izaya(Durarara!!) | Eikichi Onizuka - I think he's one of the penultimate characters in anime simply because he's so believable. He's not some paragon of justice or arbiter of evil. He drinks, he smokes, he's a womanizer, but he also cares about and looks after his friends students even when they want to hurt or abandon him. And of course, being a little over the top is cool too. Kamina - WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK HE IS!? But seriously, he's hotblood wrapped around insecurity which makes for an interesting character dynamic. He believes so strongly in Simon because Simon is HIS hero. I think that realization is one of the strongest moments in all of TTGL. Maes Hughes - He's a lovable goof with a lot of intelligence. It's hard not to like the guy who will shove pictures of his lovely daughter in your face and then turn around and tell you to watch your back. Not to mention that he is pivotal in changing the mood of the series around the halfway point. Maka Albarn - She's smart, strong, rebellious, and a good friend. When all the chips are down, Maka is the character you can usually count on to come through for you, and she's not afraid to disobey her superiors to do it. Haruko Haruhara - Nothing particularly poignant here, I just feel like she's an awesome and over the top character. Shikamaru Nara - Something about a lazy ninja appeals to me. But beyond that, he's got a solid head on his shoulders and the abilities of an expert strategist. Jing - The King of Bandits is an amazingly soft-spoken guy. He's nearly unflappable and has skills in thievary far surpassing anyone. But even when he succeeds in stealing something, if someone needs it, he'll relinquish it. It's about the journey for him, not the end result. Kazuma Kuwabara - Another goofy character and the eternal underdog of Yu Yu Hakusho. Even though he'll never reach the full potential of the other characters, he sticks his nose to the grindstone and pushes to be the very best he can be. He's also fiercely loyal to his friends and comrades. Kiri Komori - I just like the running gag. |

| Rika Furude - Mai musume. I adore everything about her with all my heart. Her flaws are treasures to me. Moe to no end in both her actions and her circumstances, and the driving force behind one of my all time favorite. It's hard to articulate quite why I adore her the most. I just do. Nanoha Takamachi - No offense to the Fate fans, but Nanoha is what holds this entire series together, lampshading the typical magical girl archetype by taking it in a much more serious and brutal direction all her own on the back of her convictions and principles. There's a lot of magical girls I love, but she's the only one I respect. Tomoyo Daidouji - The Goddess herself who single-handedly flipped the "ojousama" archetype on its head. Kind and selfless to a fault, and always by Sakura's side through thick and thin regardless of she benefits from it or not, I just can't help but love her. Maa-shachou - Greatest. Cat. Ever. Kamina - Duh! He's the man who revived what it meant to be a man! His aura of masculinity is so powerful I know women who have hairs on their chest from too much exposure to his bravado. Mahoro Andou - Mai waifu. Reason enough. Yuki Nagato - I'm continuously amazed at how many pivotal scenes of Haruhi are supported by her weight and her weight alone. People accuse her of being a Rei clone, but to me, I see a vast improvement. Ren Tsuruga - I want his babies in me. Megumi Noda - Simply one of the best and true female characters ever devised. There is no 10th spot on my list yet. It's open out of respect to the Straw Hat Crew for whom I can never choose between. They are all amazing characters. |

| Izaya Orihara - Oh, Izaya. What a magnificent bastard you are. Lelouch Lamperouge - Lelouch has been one of my favorites for a long time. In both seasons of Code Geass, he never ceased to amuse me. Interesting and sympathetic to the very end. Kusuriuri - The medicine seller is absolutely amazing. I don't even need to explain. Neuro Nougami - Neuro is such a fun character. I was never really sure whether he felt anything for the human race or Yako, but the last arc certainly showed how much he did care. Neuro grew on me very much during the last few chapters of Majin Tentei Nougami Neuro. He and Yako make a wonderful team. Mephisto Bart Kucabara - Kucabara is wonderful. I think he's a perfect example of what a shounen protagonist should be. Graham Specter - Baccano! is a great series, but the OVAs really were exceptional to me. Graham is such a lunatic, but so lovely. X - X is raving mad, but he is also very easy to sympathize with. I think most of us can relate to his search for who he is or was. I also love his interactions with other characters, Ai especially. Ciel Phantomhive - Kickass shota, yes. Badou Nails - Badou is hilarious. Even in the worst situations, you can never go wrong with a smoke. Revy - Absolutely badass. Revy is just too cool. |

Aoyagi Ritsuka (Loveless): I felt like he had to be there, since I cosplay him. =/ And, in the manga, he's such a little jerk that I love him. <3 Haku (Spirited Away): Because. I love him. No other reasons. Akiyama Mio (K-ON!): Fap fap fap fap fap fap fap... Furukawa Nagisa (Clannad): Because Okazaki Tomoya (Clannad): I don't know exactly why I love him as much as I do. I think it's just because the way he treated Nagisa from the start made me feel like there was hope for men. But, then I remembered that it was anime, and no guy really acts like that. Or I just love when he tortured Sunohara (another favorite of mine, but never made my list). Furukawa Akio (Clannad): How can you not love that guy?? xD His scenes with Sanae when he insults her bread always made me laugh. And the way he treats Nagisa is just priceless for me. I wish he was my dad... Potato (Air): Piko! Sakuma Ryuichi (Gravitation): He's my dream guy... that's all I have to say on that subject. Kogami Akira (Lucky Star): Because she's the only reason I finished that damn show. |

Claes (Gunslinger Girl/Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino-) - The sequence of events that happens to her in the first series is the most tragic of all the girls in the anime with the exception of Angelica, it really makes you want to hug her =|. The episode centered around her in the second series is easily the best episode, plus it made me tear up. Her interaction with the other girls, whilst limited, is also pretty sad considering the situation she's practically forced into. She's also one of the few characters in anime which makes me want to actually care about them which is annoyingly uncommon. Ryoko Asakura (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) - Cute, always happy personality plus psuedo-psychosis equals love. She also has a practically perfect body =P. Horo (Spice and Wolf) - She's adorable and has an awesome mischevious behaviour, plus her interactions with Lawrence just make it even better =). Nia Teppelin (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) - I don't usually like this type of character but something about her just stood out. She's got a pretty strong personality and her eyes and hair are lovely. Batou (Ghost in the Shell/Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) - He's got a pretty interesting character, works well with the rest of Section 9, really cares about those who he knows and can be pretty badass sometimes to boot. Lawrence Kraft (Spice and Wolf) - Intelligent, humourous and interacts well with Horo. Knows a lot about business and economics =D. Reki (Haibane Renmei) - Intelligent motherly figure to Rakka, generally strong personality and caring about the other Haibanes. The finale of the series was also rather incredible. Kirakishou (Rozen Maiden) - She's completely insane and rather sadistic really. She also has some badass abilities and is quite possibly the strongest doll of all the characters. Sucks that she wasn't in the anime <_<. Reisen Udongein Inaba (Touhou) - She's a rabbit from the moon who can manipulate various types of waves to cause people to hallucinate and go insane. That's just plain awesome. Dr. Franken Stein (Soul Eater) - A rather crazy and powerful teacher at Shibusen who likes to experiment on people whenever he feels like it. Also provides some of the best insanity moments in the series. |

I actually got into studying habit thanks to her(As many can see from Lucky Star episodes). I owe my grades to her. Shinku Elegant, intelligent and strong. She's caring toward her sister. Lynn Minmay "Do you remember love?", and my love for SDF macross makes her one of my favs. Uchiha Itachi seems to be a ruthless, unemotional and mysterious villain, but in truth, he is a kind caring brother, and willingly has all the blame put on him and bears a ton of sins alone to protect his village. |

| Kuchiki Byakuya Cause he's kickass strong and I like his domineering and quiet personality. And he's dead sexy. Hitsugaya Toushiro Cause he's cute and fierce. Kozuki Tsukasa Female badass and a really strong fighter. Not to mention really funny. Mogami Kyoko Cause she's super funny and has a strong personality. Not to mention incredibly talented, verging on genius. Sesshomaru Cause he's super strong and I like his quiet/domineering personality. Like Byakuya, he's intimidating without trying and super sexy! Kurosaki Mafuyu She's a crazy strong fighter and awesomely funny, despite her naivette. Okita Sougo He's a strong swordsman and I like his sadistic personality. Make's him unique. His sadistic antics make me laugh.^^ Hijikata Toshiro Cause he's the deadly vice commander and I like his serious yet uncaring personality. He's funny when he's with Gintoki and his mayo-loving trait is funny and unique. Sakata Gintoki Super strong despite his idiotic and lazy personality. Super funny. Loyal to his own code of the samurai and never backs down. Gaara Super strong and an awesome Kazekage. |

| Hmmm. Why do I like my favourite characters. Let's see. Kino Calm, polite, unbiased, and an awesome fighter when she has to be. She has to be one of the most awesome women in anime, and she would be one of the most awesome men in anime if she was male. Yang Wenli I'm not even halfway through LotGH, but I can tell he is an exceptional one-of-a-kind character. As other have said, he's calm, easy-going and you could probably have many interesting conversations with him. Ayumu "Osaka" Kasuga How can not love a character who is so air-headed, has a weird/awesome imagination and is just downright hilarious. Murasaki Kuhouin One of the most charismatic loli characters in anime. Some of thing she says are hilarious, but she is more than just a mere comic relief character, she is a fully fleshed-out child character and she is also pretty awesome for her age. Kaiji Itou A flawed genius. I find it easier to sympathise with him than I do with other "genius" characters, possibly because he is the most down-to-earth of the lot. I don't care how much better or more realistic Reinhard is as a character, I have always liked Kaiji more and I always will. Lain Iwakura I was so focused on all of the story details in Lain that I wasn't actually paying much attention to Lain herself. I like her for her complexity (which added to the complexity of the anime as a whole). She can also be awesome at times, and I like introverted characters in general. Guu Quite possibly the most evil anime character ever created. The entire reason of her existence is to annoy Hare as much as possible, or at least it seems to be that way. Doesn't sound too evil so far? Well, she can do ANYTHING she wants to annoy Hare, no matter how impossible. She doesn't just defy the laws of physics, she changes them at her will. That's why she is pure evil, and all the more awesome for it. Miu Matsuoka Annoying in a much more normal way than Guu. A lot of the crazy antics she does to annoy her friends result in me having a few giggles. She is much funnier than the rest of the cast, and one of the funniest characters in anime, along with Osaka. Kukuri A moeblob. But not just any old moeblob, she is the perfect moeblob. Kind, caring, dedicated and most importantly, extremely cute. She's not even entirely helpless like most moeblobs are, as she can use her magic skills to put up a good fight if one of her friends is in trouble. My idea of a perfect personification of the moe concept. Nao Ueshima She's in because of how normal she is. The only thing unusual about her is her ability to control the wind. As weird as that sounds, anime is surprisingly short of normal characters. Every character seems to be a moeblob, a "chosen one" or a genius. Why can't there be more normal/realistic anime characters like her and Taeko from Only Yesterday? I guess I like Nao's personality quite for various reasons as well, such s her unique hobby and the way she sees the world. I will probably need to sacrifice one of these characters so I can fit in Alpha from Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, who is almost certainly going to be in contention for a spot after I have read more of that particular manga. She's practically perfect from what I have read so far. |

| Sasori (Naruto) - Sasori is basically the personification of the flawless spirit I wanted to have to myself. He is also a living-doll, someone that a doll lover like me couldn't just leave aside. He is smart and quiet, the perfect partner that could never exist in real life. Kusuri uri (Mononoke) - Kusuri uri's mysterious and yet blunt perfection atitude give me chills. He does his job flawlessly, definately different from any other ordinary character. Axel (Kingdom Hearts) - Probably because I used to be pretty much like him. He has a fiery (Heh, right) and determinated way of doing things. He never let go of the ones dear to him, and sacrificed himself to protect them. Giovanni (DOGS: BnC) - Even tough in the latest chapters he has become WAY TOO MUCH badass and invincible, his sadistic atitude is... Irresistible. He also remembers an old side of myself. And of course, being left aside and treated like shit by his superior, which he dedicates his life to, makes me feel like loving him even more. Kaonashi (Spirited Away) - COME ON, DO I EVEN HAVE TO EXPLAIN? Grell (Kuroshitsuji) - Grell is such a bitch. He's a psychotic sadistic pervert, making every little thing he does a spark of joy. He has a unique personality, and is probably the only thing that saves Kuroshitsuji's comedy from being an aboslute tragedy. Margo (Casshern Sins) - The fact that he was determinated to dedicate all his life to making the lives of other prettier... He was a real artist. Even tough he had everything to refrain him from achieving his goal, he never gave up. And he succeeded. Margo represents, for me, the spirit of determination and strenght, despiste his fragile condition and appearence. Itazu Yutaka/Panties (Higashi no Eden) - He was isolated from the whole world because of the most stupid excuse I have ever heard. But he was very intelligent, and even being secluded in his room, he was able to help in a crucial way. And, he was adorably shy. |

Kei Takishima (Special A)- keeps to himself, his cute lovey dovey thinking <3 , smart, loyal n the list goes on n on. Fai D. Flourite (Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE)- Another mystery. Doesn't open up very easily and also seems like he's wearing a poker face all the time even when he's supposed to be having a good time. | Death the Kid (Soul Eater) - Did someone say OCD Goth Cowboy Jesus? Gokudera Hayato (Katekyo Hitman Reborn) - I have a soft spot for lazy, trouble making geniuses. Though he lacks in common sense... Or general regard for people who aren't Tsuna. Orihara Izaya (Durarara!!) - Insanity. Also, a genius. Plus, he loves humans. Why shouldn't we reciprocate that love? Prussia / Gilbert Weillschmidt (Axis Powers Hetalia) - Insanity. Also, awesome. I like his "East Germany" persona, too. Kind of a bizarre twist in his character. Kamina (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) - As though I need to explain myself. Xerxes Break (Pandora Hearts) - Only reason I keep reading that manga. He always acts so frivolous and clever, and very scary in a way. Love it. Badou Nails (Dogs: Bullets & Carnage) - Poor freelance journalist with a smoking habit... Clumsy, cowardly, and mad awesome when he needs his smokes. Eye-patch makes him more awesome. Yao Ling (Fullmetal Alchemist) - Before and after the whole Greed incident. He'd be a decent king. Took the place in my heart where a certain family-loving FMA character used to be. *sadface* Erika Karisawa (Durarara!!) - YOU CANNOT DENY HER AWESOME OTAKU POWERS. Spanner (Katekyo Hitman Reborn) - Another lazy genius? He's an engineer, which I respect with my whole heart! |

| Oh my, I have quite a few past lists, a present one, and future ones I would like to make because ten favorites is JUST NOT ENOUGH! Ehem, but obviously I'm going to start with my present list, though. Souseiseki is a favorite that will never leave my list I certainly hope. Because I am a major Bokufag and have been nuts over her since watching the show. I'm absolutely nuts over Souseiseki. And back when I was an active Boku fan full force, I was actually the closest to true character obsession for the first time in YEARS. Most of the rest are a bunch of Shotas because I'm a shotacon and showing it off right now.>:D Sakutaro because he's the most adorable thing ever. Wriggle Nightbug because she's in my Touhou top ten and I should actually like her more than Cirno. Because she's the only reverse trap in all of Touhou. Finnian, because I fell for him when I watched Kuroshitsuji and it makes me feel like a little less of a shotacon to like him than Ciel(who I also like, sometimes, lul. Horrible personality.:<) Kanon is there because he is my first crush in Umineko and I still like him the most. Part of my top three guys that make Seagulls more sexy and enjoyable. Makenishi Chrona because CHRONA HAS NO GENDER. Maka has a more interesting personality, but Chrona is still very enjoyable. Ion, because Ion is my hasubando and creepy Shotacon fixation when playing Tales of the Abyss. Cirno. Because Cirno is my absolute favorite character in all of Touhou. I'm obsessed with her. And she's not an idiot or weak, she's the strongest.D:< Shido Mariya because we are all bottoms for his epic, dare I be vulgar for a change? Epic badass. Ohoho, I said badass, how unladylike. And Yuffie because Yuffie is my favorite character in Final Fantasy VII I think. Or at the very very least, my favorite female character. She has the best of the tough and the happy energetic Cuckoolander personality. 2nd is Tifa because she's black haired pale skinned tough girl with an at least occasionally tough personality. And she beats things with her FISTS, yeah.D:< Aeris isn't an interesting playable character because she's a typical staffgirl wimp.:| Until next time, folks. |

| Updated. Touka (Utawarerumono) My first ever favourite character. Shes funny, exciting and badass. A very loyal character too and not without her cute moments. Sakata, Gintoki (Gintama) I love characters like Gintoki and Spike. Extremely cool and chilled out, but with the ability to display amazing badassery. Not without his funny yet stupid moments, either. I don't think a character has ever made me laugh as much as Gintoki either (although Kagura is up there too). He is probably my favourite character. Yagami, Light (Death Note) The sole reason I love Death Note so much. Never has a character had me on the edge of my seat and continually impressed me throughout the entire series. Plus he has some of the best quotes and writing skillz. Soryu, Asuka Langley (Neon Genesis Evangelion) I used to dislike Asuka. The first time I watched Evangelion I found her annoying and simply unlikable. However, after The End of Evangelion she managed to gain a little of my respect. I watched the series again a few months later and completely changed my opinion. She really drove the story and I found her character extremely interesting and concluded the series wouldn't have been half as good if she wasn't in it. She is complex, eccentric, interesting, badass, cute and very enjoyable to watch. I watched Evangelion 2.0 with anticipation for her introduction. Noda, Megumi (Nodame Cantabile) Nodame is on my favourite list simply because of how enjoyable she is on screen. She always put a smile on my face and Ayako Kawasumi does a fantastic job voicing her, naturally. Gyabo! Kagura (Gintama) The funniest character ever along with Gintoki and not to mention a total badass. I don't know what to say about Kagura, she just has this flair that makes her great. Endo, Kenji (20th Century Boys) A realistic hero. Absolutely love his character and how he took it upon himself to save the world. Much like Sakuragi below, a very good sense of justice and a great display of courage. Guta-lala Suda-lala. Hoshino, Yutaka (Ping Pong) I love Peco's eccentricity and his intriguing personality. Only Taiyo Matsumoto could have come up with a character like this. Peco's character really drove the story along and sucked you in and made you want to keep reading. Inoue, Meiko (Solanin) A realistic, down-to-earth character I find very relatable. \/ Old favourites (no longer on my list) \/ Spiegel, Spike (Cowboy Bebop) I love characters like Spike and Gintoki. Extremely cool and chilled out, but with the ability to display amazing badassery. Not without his funny yet stupid moments, either. He really impressed me in the last few episodes an by the last scene I was completely sold. Great backstory and display of emotion, as well. Takamura, Mamoru (Hajime no Ippo) Takamura is on my favourite list because he is so damn hilarious. I didn't put him in my favourites until after I had seen his fight in New Challenger though. In that fight he displayed such emotion and awesomeness I just had to include him. Izumi, Konata (Lucky Star) Need I put a reason? It's Konata. Sakuragi, Hanamichi (Slam Dunk) I haven't even finished Slam Dunk yet but I love Sakuragi. He is such a determinated character with a great, silly sense of humour and good sense of justice. I like characters who stick up for themselves and their friends. A fantastic, goofy character with the potential to be amazing. Much like Kenji above. |

| Why are they my favorites, I'll try to explain: Ayukawa Madoka: Not only is she beautiful, she's intelligent and isn't afraid to put Kyosuke in his place. Easily one of my favorite female characters of all time. Botan: Another beauty who's personality I'm a huge fan of. I also like her interactions with the rest of the gang. Hashiba Touma: The most intelligent and level-headed of the Ronin Warriors. Besides, I can't hate someone with hair such as his. Katsuragi Misato: A consummate professional at her job who isn't afraid to get drunk and loosen up away from her job. Plus, she has what I think is the coolest pet in all anime with Pen-Pen. Kurono Kurumu: Easily my favorite of the R+V girls. She often is overshadowed by Moka and Mizore, but she has her good qualities, and her interactions with Tsukune are often hilarious. Makibi Kiyone: She's the most mature of the girls and, along with Mihoshi, isn't trying to jump on Tenchi's bones. Her relationship with Mihoshi is hilarious. Meioh Setsuna: She is the reason I watched Sailor Moon in the first place. I had a huge crush on her, then I found out cartoons weren't real. Til this day, she's still my favorite of the Sailor Senshi. Takeshi (Brock): His wisdom of Pokémon combined with his weakness to pretty girls make him a very good character. It never fails to crack me up whenever either Misty, May, Max or Croagunk drags him off after he pesters girls. Tenshinhan: An interesting and powerful character before the Dragon Ball series became all-Saiyan all the time. Tsukamoto Yakumo: With the way she carries herself, you'd think she was the older sister and not Tenma. Anyway, I love her personality. |
| I'll leave out Touhou characters, as if I included them my entire list would be Touhou characters (except maybe Ginko... maybe). Ginko (Mushishi) Peaceful, wise, and caring, the man is exactly who I aspire to be, so how could he not be number 1? Ryougi Shiki (Kara no Kyoukai) In the words of myself, "despite being a bloodthirsty maniac with an unhealthy obsession with murder, she's actually very sweet." And cute, too, let's not forget that. Also one of the biggest badasses in anime, with a power that could make anyone envious. Ergo Proxy (Ergo Proxy) Complete and total baddass, and he can play some absurd games with you mind. Itoshiki Nozomu (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei) No other character has given me so many laughs. Enough said. Orihara Izaya (Durarara!!) Greatest villain ever. Likable despite his supreme evilness due to his strange charm and ability to stay calm and smooth in any situation. He's like an evil version of James Bond. The Puppet Master (Ghost in the Shell) If you ever find a cooler AI, I'll eat my shoe. It takes a lot wit to be able do some of the things it did, more than even most people have. Being that clever and intelligent as an AI is simply awe inspiring. Tachikoma (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) Somehow, I find them cute. I want one as a pet (there was an episode about that exact thing, actually). They get really great when they start discussing philosophy. Heiwajima Shizuo (Durarara!!) The guy's an ape when you piss him off, and he's so ridiculously strong. Watching him throw vending machines at people never gets old. Ichijou (Pani Poni Dash!) Random, physics violating, fourth wall breaking, logic obliterating win. She also has a nasty habit of having a convenient solution to every problem, but either never mentioning it or causing more new problems with it. Kujo Jotaro (JoJo's Bizarre adventure) Manliest man I've ever seen. He's so manly, he can make a bluff so epic that you just die from stress. He's manly enough to move when time has stopped. He's so ridiculously manly, he puts guys like Kamina and Bang Shishigami to shame. |

Isayama Yomi Ga-Rei Okay so I guess I brought sexy back, cause she is that, and again, she can fight good with that sword. ;] Takei Hisa Saki Cute and sexy, smart, clever, a little devious, confident, not afraid to take a risk and tricksy, which I love. Kyon Suzumiya Haruhi Series Okay so I said I'm not doing spoilers, and not many people have read the light novels anyway, but I got reasons I like this fool beyond the normals. Tohno Akiha Tsukihime, Melty Blood Again with the sexiness, smart, sophisticated, and quite delicious when getting her kill on.
