About AirStyles
Nothing much, just an ordinary guy who watch anime, do sport on regular basis. College student.

Favourite Anime = Show that I'll definitely recommend to anyone
Favourite character list = The favorite character of the show I really enjoyed.

~~~~~~~~~RATING!~~~~~~~~~
I'm a rather generous rater, any shows that entertained me from time to time can easily get a 7/10, 8/10 are for shows that I really enjoyed, while 9/10 are shows that I believe it's great.
for each 10/10 I gave, I'll write about what I thought about the show, however, I am extremely strict with 10/10, as I only reserve for shows that are... well, excellent in my view.
10/10 rating so far. hopefully there will be more in the future...
Clannad After Story ~~~10/10~~~
The show is extremely well received by it's fans as well as those that are not into the particular genre, which is reasonable, because the show is simply a masterpiece.
The show is focus on family value, even the so-call filler episodes/arc are focus on family values.
CLANNAD ~AS~ is heartwarming, sad, melancholy, funny, enraging story lines all piled into one, and all of them can be seperated from the show and became an effective movie on their own.
However, take notice of this. This show can make a robot cry... or leak oil from their eyes... It can move you to tears, as well as letting you bawl your eyes out because of how sad it is.
Words cannnot describe what I think of the show, you'll have to watch it you self. ^_^
Shigofumi ~~~10/10~~~
Lets put it this way, I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone, it is not a show majority of the people will say: "Greatest show ever made!!!"
Most of you will wonder why I gave it a 10/10, heck, I wanna know why I gave it 10/10. The show is constantly great to begin with (imo), exploring deep into social status, society value, insanity etc. The constant philosophy given by the show are deep, and makes you really question this world.
Episode 12, which is the last episode, the ending... I don't understood it at all, it's so simple, yet the meaning is deep, there are values to be appreciated that I haven't really understood, but the last scene made me smile warmly... though I know what's going on, I have to say I don't understand it at all.
I didn't know how to rate this show when it ended, as I haven't fully understood it either, from what I've seen/understood alone, I would've give it a 9/10, the elements that I've yet to understood, are the extra 1 point, whatever it is that I've yet to understood is definitely something great.
I'll look into it when I get time. It looks very similar to a manga that I've read before. It's called Kanojo o Mamoru 51 no Houhou. Was a pretty good read. And yeah for Phantom, you should try the PC game. Apparently it covers a lot more compared to the show and I'm sufre you would want to know more about the series ^_^
Thanks, I'm glad my anguish entertians the populace. : P
Okay, I may just check it out. It's short, what could it hurt?
yuyano | 11-05-09, 6:44 AM
where can i read the manga?
insan3soldiern | 11-05-09, 4:20 AM
How's Tokyo Magnitude? I've been wondering about it.
insan3soldiern | 10-31-09, 8:47 AM
Yeah, I've actually seen like 7 or so episodes of the first season. But, I was impatient at the time and couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll give it another go.
Yeah I think they also left it unexplained. If not, it's gonna take a hell of an explanation for me to understand it.
They were both sad episodes. I just found episode 16 sadder.
That's kinda what I'm thinking. Nagisa is the catalyst that starts him learning about those important lessons in life. There are those times while he regrets meeting Nagisa cos it messed everything up, there are all those good things that had happened and that's what carrys him toward the ending there.
Yeah. In the beginning I got the impression that Tomoya was just a person who didn't care and wouldn't put any effort into helping anyone but I saw the change in him over the series.
Moimy | 10-29-09, 9:40 PM
I'm a person who doesn't look deep into the story to crazily explain things, I'm a person who takes things for face value. But I still find your explanation easy to understand. But I can still be sad...
Hmm, I kinda don't get/disagree with your motion that the city is alive and magical. I could get how you could get that with Nagisa being revived by her father that one time and Tomoya constantly hating the city but otherwise...and where does that little girl and trashkid come in?
Someone on that thread must've mentioned the theme of Family in Clannad. It's kinda everywhere.
One of the reasons why I found episode 16 so sad was that Tomoya's life was totally changed for the better when she came along. Before that we wasn't really heading toward anything. But then wham...it's all gone.
Holy shit, Sadam was found in a cave? Damn, and wait, isn't Osama dead already? That's what I heard.
Also, I didn't know you also liked Higurashi. It's awesome, isn't it? :>
Moimy | 10-28-09, 9:08 PM
Yeah, but I'd say Japan has a bigger problem what with all the underage prositution and etc. Didn't they postpone the airing of the last ep of School Days due to some girl killing her dad? Crazy.
What? There's a difference between being tough and not having a heart. Episode 16 was what got me and that part with Ushio in the snow. But I hated how it ends. It's just like 'REVERSE!' and everything's alright. Not that I didn't want that to happen.
Indeed anime is the only media that really gets me right there.
Zetsubou is defintitely more negative that Lucky Star. It also takes swings at other anime. It did one time in the second season at Lucky Star. Lol.
Zetsubou is very slapstickal also, but it's really the character stereotypes it has. It subtly makes fun of those stereotypes.
Moimy | 10-27-09, 11:29 PM
Zetsubou Sensei kinda does this social commentary on stuff. It has the negative teacher who's always complaining about stuff and it makes you think while going 'Ha ha, that's so true'. It had me hooked from the first episode cos the premise is just so....funny. The second season is pretty good cos they got more experimental with it, like in one scene they keep switching the methods of animation e.g. Cutout animation to claymation. Although the 3rd season is kinda a let down.
I loved Clannad. I don't think anything made me cry even more that the last few epsiodes of After Story.
Hmm, I'll have to get onto it. Right now I'm just finishing School Days. Wth is wrong with these people?
Moimy | 10-27-09, 11:02 PM
Well, I'll give it a try I guess.
I kinda understood Higurashi 1 and I really do wanna figure out the answers...I'll probably watch Kai next. But Umineko is just as good.
It's the way Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is done. It's just so random and weird. It never follows any coherent line of any kind.
I get what you mean, flying around shooting beams at each other...I must say, that trailer doesn't really make me want to watch the movie. I must have to watch the series first...
