She definitely has an interesting relationship with Nyaan in the show. Seems this show is building up to something more especially involving the Kycilia faction. |

| Happy Machuuusday, everyone! Fuck yes give me more political and character driven episodes like this. Fights are nice, but I love the political maneuvering and romantic angst we got today. As expected, things with Machu and Nyaan are tense after Nyaan piloted the Gquuuuuux and took Shuji and Machu’s “special bond” away from Machu. Plus Chalia making his move finally. Very good set up episode for what should be a wild next couple We got a flashback, but damn I would’ve loved to have seen the full scene of Machu snapping on Nyaan for using the Gundam. I love how she’s not even worried about Nyaan going crazy and killing in the fight, only thing that matters is not having that unique bond with Shuji anymore lol. Annqi is fine as fuck so I’m gonna overlook her trying to sell the girls and Shuji out to Chalia 😭 they could never make me hate her Speaking of Chalia, very fitting that Char’s mav would be out to kill Kycillia in this timeline lol. Everything comes full circle. Note that Machu is more worried about warning Shuji and him leaving and never seeing her again than the actual repercussions of potentially losing the Gundam, gquuuuuux and even Nyaan lol. I love romance drama and angst, but it does seem wild that in an episode or so both girls went absolutely insane for him. Would be cool if there were an in-universe explanation like his connection to the Kira Kira being intoxicating or something. Oh shit Bask and the titans are around still?! We got cyber-newtypes?!! Lot of threads converging. I’m hype. Really curious about this Deux character as well! Looks like we’re heading for a Machu breakdown next week. Given all her stress at school, usual teenager stuff of not feeling like her mom understands her and boy trouble.. this’ll be good. PS: Feel bad for anyone who thought ‘79 was enough to appreciate this now that we’re doing Zeta shit lol |

| Machu doesn't like Nyaan, since Machu likes Shuuji, so the tension between them is understandable. But I appreciate that after learning Shuuji's in danger, she put her hate for Nyaan aside so they can make it work out. It was a surprise to see that Mahko—the guy who gives Nyaan courier tasks—actually acted nicely toward her for once. Now that Red Gundam and Shuuji are in trouble, it seems like Shuuji somehow knows about this in advance. This show has so many side characters that are important in this universe, but I don't know them all. Having them pop up like this just makes it more and more confusing for me. |

I can't wait for the next episode and with it also the issues that involve adults and not only the fights between kids that in the long run could also get a little boring if not well managed. Even if in the end, with this new plot of the UC I'm not understanding much anymore, too many things have changed, a good explanation in the smallest details would be needed. |

Tensions inside Zeon between Gihren and Kycillia, each one plotting to kill the other (just a normal monday for these two) Challia who is possibly a traitor, working for Gihren while Xavier is a spy under Kycillia's orders (teasing, teasing) Girlboss Annqi who knows Girlboss Challia more than we could have thought and ploting with/against him Little easter egg when Kamala arrive's to Side 6, after "Name of Ship to be loaded", it is written "Kobayashi Maru". Don't know who is Maru but Gundam fans know that name Machu having problems with her mother The return of Goddamn F*cking Bask!!!! OMG I thought there was no world this piece of sh*t would return! And he teases the psycho-newtypes and the Goddamn Psycho Gundam!!!!!!!!! I ate so much with this episode I am full, now. So much teasing and fan-service (in a good way), I loved it |

| Interesting episode, a lot of talking and setup for what to come next, some questions were answered, but many more appeared. I expected the episode to spend more time on Machu and Nyaa. I wasn't buying into the "they eventually going to fight eachother" speculation and their reconciliation in this episode pretty much seems to confirm that this won't happen ( still not impossible though). However, "reconciliation" is a strong word, it's mostly showing that both characters feels bad about the situation and not actually discussing it, even at the end of the episode, it only seems like Machu wants to talk about what's going to happen to Shuji. It's interesting to look at Nyaan room with the application for status changeand also a study book for Zeon Technology/industy University. Talking about this, I wasn't expecting the clan to betray Machu and Shuji, forgot that adults are not to be trusted in the Gundam franchise. Challia saving Xavier last second arriving in a jetpack with a rifle, bro is trying to look like is dead/missing boyfriend. Wasn't expecting a cybernewtype, she definitely acts like one. Girl is NOT going to survive this series. Also, is that the fucking Titan guy? Actually makes sense for them to be some kind of rebels in this alt-univers, interesting. |
| Sooo...the Titans are here with some CyberTypes as pilots. Also there's a very convoluted plan...or even two such plans, to eliminate Kycilia-sama. I like how they turned Challia Bull into important figure instead of a pilot of "mech of the week" who gets killed by Amouro. |

| Episode was fantastic and so dense in worldbuilding, plot build up, and characterization of at least machu and her life. It all comes down to where it goes from here (i keep seeing war in the pocket) but this feels like a great calm before the storm type episode. Im still conflicted on all these hyper deep cut references but fuck it i get them all, and all this political intrigue is interesting as shit so fuck em, I'm powerful i knew who gates capa already was without a wikia visit. Past the glupp shittos the directing is just fantstic, feels like every scene has layers to dissect and it really wastes no time as a result, this feels bigger than a 12 episode show and while i absolutly wish it could focus on the smaller things like a 24 ep show has the ability to id still say this is a super well paced series. I truly adore how they are handling machu. Shes a brat, she already has a life worthy of envy whether she realizes it or not and people are outright telling her to leave all this behind. Everything thats about to happen and about to get wrapped up in was of her own accord and (going off my war in the pocket hunch) reality is about to come crashing down on her hard. |

| Zeon Civil War is finally getting featured more in the show. As well as other factions and their leaders. I liked how Bask Om was featured. Oh, and Deux's surname (Murasame), and a name as well, are another cool reference to older Gundam shows. :P Ouch, Pomeranians will have to battle Cyber Newtypes in the next battle. It will be tough as hell. Like none other Clan Battle before. Nyaan was cute while making those dumplings at Shuuji's hideout. Too bad that Amate's rage kinda alienated Nyaan from her newly met friends. :( But I'm positive. She will most likely make up with Machu. ;P Very good episode. I'm glad we didn't have the usual "Clan Battle of the week" stuff, but rather an episode that was more plot- and character-oriented. |

They were nothing without her, but now they got their bag and they are gonna split SMH Zeon may want their mobile suit back and the Red Gundam as well, but that is a flimsy excuse for betrayal. I hope our three pilots can salvage their dream from this. Next weeks episode is going to be big, I can feel it. |

Amate and Shuji developed that bond fighting together in the clan battles and Nyaan saw them growing closer and being lonely wanted some of the warmth too. This prompted her to try to reach for Shuji through sex appeal, but since he was half delirious with a fever that attempt fell flat. After experiencing the kira-kira for herself though she has reached the same level as Shuji and Amate, though Amate is mad at Nyaan for invading her space because she doesn't know the kira-kira is a channel open to all newtypes. |

She's selfish, lacks any kind of focus with her responsibilities, doesn't talk with her tutors at all and keeps doing whatever. It's probably her rebellious phase, that's fine, but throughout the series I feel more sympathetic towards Nyaan than her. Also, the cryptic nature of the way pilot say what the Gundams want it's getting a bit annoying (not too much but a tad). At the very least we'll probably get more robot fights and the way the politically driven assassination plan will be carried out. That part I'm more into. |

| Tension continues to build, and I have a feeling someone will snap soon... Machu and Nyaan's relationship was understandably tense after the events of the last episode, and it's weird to think that just a few episodes ago, their dynamic together and with Shuji were very fun to see. Guess the fun times just don't last long in this series. I'm a bit surprised that the Psycho Gundam, a Gundam build from the Zeta series was shown, and as a watcher who has not seen much Gundam at all, it has gotten tough to follow yet again, but all I know is that Machu's on the verge of snapping most likely, and the next episode might hit a fever pitch. |
| The music has hooked me insanely to this show. Except for the OP, still hasn't grown on me. A lot of characters from Zeta Gundam which I have already forgotten, because I watched Z 12 years ago, were introduced in this episode, this looks very good. I kinda expected more teenager angst in this episode but it was enough to make me interested. Although, as people have said, Shuji hasn't done anything yet except translating the Red Gundam so it is unclear if the love triangle will happen. I hated Cyber Newtypes back in SEED so I hope they are still insufferable beings in this timeline. Also, another banger insert song in this episode, still not on youtube though. |

Nyaan seems a little bit more mature because she is a refugee and has had to grow up quicker and take responsibility for herself at a young age because she doesn't have that parental safety net. |

If only he had managed to activate Omega Psycommu... the series would have played out differently without hobo ;> When the Military Police got involved, he simply backed down. Politics. It's true that Xavier is a nice guy. The "problem" is that this is not his main asset. The guy is handsome. He has talent - he was the best at the Academy. He has a prestigious position - he is not only a pilot, but also responsible for a special machine. Xavier Olivette belongs to the elite. And this is what distinguishes him from the crowd of other, average nice guys. |

| I feel that Season 1 of Arcane spoiled me rotten giving me hope that animated media could have really thorough storyboards that would allow the viewer to jump in to a new universe with a pre-established world and characters and get a whole picture of it without the need to have previous experience with the universe or having sidenotes on who is who. Having to read cheat notes on reddit just to get a grasp on all this techno-jargon and new clowns introduced that allegedly I'm supposed to feel intimidated because they were some big shots in other Gundam series feels like a chore and just lazy franchise ad for the already hardcore veterans that have watched most if not all of previous series. It's like Gigukk said "oh look, they are doing the thing" and that feels like it's the highlight of the series so far, just fanservice for the OG Gundam fans. Back to this episode. It's ridiculous how many of us average anime watchers clowned on Domekano because most of the gears set in motion were by cheesy drama triggered because not a single idiot in that universe had the decency to put a lock up their doors. Here we have the same stupid mentality where Annqi and Chalia set up a meeting in some secluded area in order to show their cards, but she just blurts the whole secret meeting plans in her own office with an unlocked door where any idiot like Machu can sneak in and conveniently listen to the whole plan. That's cheap writting not to mention some really bad character writing on an established char like Annqi. Meh, whatever, sunk cost fallacy is a bich, so I guess I'll just autopilot until the end of the first cour and cut my loses there. |
